Before I stared Juddd last week I had been trying out the IF for a 18/6 hour window. I did that for 3 weeks and then nothing was happening so I jumped into Juddd and then the weight started coming off.

I have naturally gotten into a rhythm of eating my DD very late in the day around 5 pm so I am not so hungry all day or hungry all evening and starting my UD late in the afternoon and only eat in a 7-8 hour window.

so doing both right now seems to be working great. Loving Juddd !!!

I know in my heart this is going to work long term and get all the excess weight off.

I'm targeting the same schedule you outlined. So far I'm still eating too early in the day, but I think it will get easier. The weight is coming off for me so far.

Good luck and let's enjoy this great weather (finally!)

I haven't been to this thread yet, but it definitely IF and JUDDD that I am doing.

I just started JUDDD on Oct. 31 2015 after having done NK/VLCHF since July 11, 2015. I couldn't stand to stay VLC and just know that I will rebound if not allowed to have some carbs when I crave them.

With JUDD I can eat carbs every day, if I want to, but I am sticking with the VLCHF on my Down Day AND...I am waiting until dinner, 5-7PM to eat this light meal. SO, voila, I am also doing IF, and I think it's a great plan!

Of course, I am new to this WOE, so time and sticking with it and all it's bounces will tell the tale...Thanks for being here, love all the resources listed/linked as well!

Same here. IF on DD. I eat only one meal a day on DD between 400/500 kcal.
Doing this for one week now and already lost 3,5 kg.
I am very happy!

Riannah~ I too fast on DD and save my DD calories for dinner and that has been helping. I am able to eating a nice meal that is filling.

Went through the great DD threads and went shopping so ready to make the best of my DD dinners!

1st goal: 155lbs

Here is an interesting clip regarding the benefit of restricting carbs during fasting:

AbstractSend to:
Am J Physiol. 1992 May;262(5 Pt 1):E631-6.
Carbohydrate restriction regulates the adaptive response to fasting.
Klein S1, Wolfe RR.
Author information
The importance of either carbohydrate or energy restriction in initiating the metabolic response to fasting was studied in five normal volunteers. The subjects participated in two study protocols in a randomized crossover fashion. In one study the subjects fasted for 84 h (control study), and in the other a lipid emulsion was infused daily to meet resting energy requirements during the 84-h oral fast (lipid study). Glycerol and palmitic acid rates of appearance in plasma were determined by infusing [2H5]glycerol and [1-13C]palmitic acid, respectively, after 12 and 84 h of oral fasting. Changes in plasma glucose, free fatty acids, ketone bodies, insulin, and epinephrine concentrations during fasting were the same in both the control and lipid studies. Glycerol and palmitic acid rates of appearance increased by 1.63 +/- 0.42 and 1.41 +/- 0.46 mumol.kg-1.min-1, respectively, during fasting in the control study and by 1.35 +/- 0.41 and 1.43 +/- 0.44 mumol.kg-1.min-1, respectively, in the lipid study. These results demonstrate that restriction of dietary carbohydrate, not the general absence of energy intake itself, is responsible for initiating the metabolic response to short-term fasting.

Very interesting Kimmie, thank you for that.

Embrace a little hunger. It is the sign of healing.

Hunger is not an emergency.

It's not what you eat between Christmas and New Year that makes you fat, it's what you eat between New Year and Christmas.

It's real good. I use the Cost Co. canned chicken as well. Tastes real good! Can use
Campbell's Chicken Mushroom soup (a few tbs. mixed in tastes real good.)
