Hi Srahjayne17, I am new to these boards. What is your plan...will you just eat potatoes on DD? or will you do a multi-day potato hack?

I'm considering doing the potato hack with JUDDD and am very interested in following your progress!

I did a five day Tater Hack last week, but I was not moved to try anything more than baked French fries with salt and sugar-free Heinz K, and mashed taters with salt n pep n a quarter cup of fat-free milk. I did add a half cup of peas to one of my mash dishes.

I read up on the Hack before I started, and realized that there were those who advocated strict taters only, no toppings (except maybe salt n pep), and those who bring in all sort of other resistant starch foods or anything that isn't actually a lipid.

I am no fan of the "suffer or fail" gang in any of its many life forms, but I did keep pretty strict--mainly because I was craving fries and mash. :-D But, I think a thread for tater hack recipies would be a great idea. There may be one, in which case anyone who has a link would receive my thanks for posting it here. If not, anyone who has tater hack recipes might post them?

I know that a couple of the gang who did the hack last month posted some recipes in the chat thread and in the Stillmans, BOA, Tater Hack thread.

I hacked for 5 days and really enjoyed it. I dropped a fair amount (4-5 lbs) but with the bounce it was only about 2-2.5 lbs total lost but for ME that is pretty good. I have bounced around again since then though. I'm doing it again for a few days to see if I can lose my post-Labor Day weekend gain. My favorite way to make them has been to get the baby red or gold's, steam them, then smash them and bake on a cookie sheet with just a spray of oil on top of some parchment paper so they don't stick. salt and pepper of course. and I eat them with malt vinegar or ketchup.

good luck, I'll be watching how it goes! we have a hack thread if you want to post there instead of this recipe thread.

Oh my. I wish I'd tried that.... Even though my tater hack experience was sort of pointless, I find myself looking back on the actual meals themselves with fondness--and wondering what to do with the half a bag of taters in my drawer (which don't really fit my LC long-term preference). But this might fit a one-off 500 cal tater DD!

Hi, wonder if anyone is doing this anymore. I started Judding Jan 9, and did ph yesterday and again today.

So far I'm happy with my weird but effective recipe.

Nuke the potato, cut up sprinkle with salt and pepper then add a couple shakes of Worctershire. The bottle says zero fat and zero calories so I have to think its ok...?

I Love Worctershire and will put it on anything lol.
