Are you using the appetite suppressant also? That really helped me. Definitely drink more water too, and if you are hungry, try to add some protein calories, so you aren't horribly hungry and instead reach for something that will not help you!

So I lost zero at my weigh-in last week, but it was a loss of two lbs fat and gain of two lbs water. Which is really a win, right? So close to my goal, I've lost almost 25% of my body weight already! I'm on the wagon, just have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this.

Keep up the great work!

good job Rachel! it all adds up. I am watching my wild 3 y/o grandson, he is a handful!!! I can't get nothing done. Only 3 more for me to get to, I am really trying to stick to it, hoping next week I will be at goal. Well, my last final goal. Then the hard part comes to keep it off.

Dawn - I can relate to the crazy toddlers! Mine have all been keeping me busy. My middle girl is turning 5 this week. Our foster boy is also 5 with an autism diagnosis. I really have to watch him at all times. And my 2-year-old boy... enough said!

I hope you make it this week! You need to share before and after pictures!

Wow, Rachel. That is a handful of preschoolers! Congrats on your weight loss!!

Just 3 to go, Dawn, that is WONDERFUL!

Friday my doctor started me on Prednisone, for 13 days....it has been a little over 30 hours since I started it (two doses of 60 mg each so far) and I feel so much better. The rash is less welt-like and I don't feel like I am digging in and creating scars; it was SO bad the 3 days previous to Friday! Neighbor to north of our house has 4 pin oak trees in his yard, that is where the mites are from. Then as wind from north blows, it blows all those critters here! Doing all kinds of changes around here to make exposure decreased. Praying that this infestation season will be over soon. I have always reacted to insect stings/bites. DH rarely is bitten by anything!

Stayed on my eating plan well today. Probably could have drank more water though. Will do that better tomorrow.

glad you are doing better Debbie--that didn't sound too nice!

Rachel---when you have little ones, it is a challenge, now that mine are growing up, I wish they were that again I know I didn't think that then though!

I will show my pics when I have time to figure it out! So close to 80 lbs, I know this may take me this week or next, the last few take forever to get off.

Off for a walk now, warmer here in WI.

Debbie - Glad you have some relief! hopefully the prednisone doesn't put you off your WOE, I know it tends to make people hungry.

Dawn - Are you seeing the plastic surgeon tomorrow? You'll have to share the details. I'm not dealing with the excess skin (I think because what exercise I do is usually strength training?) but am always interested in stretch mark cures!

Great week, not seeing a change on my home scale, but have until Wednesday for my official weigh-in, hoping to break the 150s (since I'm at 160 the only other options would be a gain or no loss week!). My husband goes in for his initial appointment on Tuesday evening, so I planned dinners to be week 1 compliant for Weds-Sat. He will experience the struggles I had, since we will be celebrating a birthday during week 1 (our little guy turned 2 during my week 1), and birthday celebrations around here seem to last several days! luckily she requested a burger and hot dog dinner, so he can just have the burger.

Keep up the great work!

yes--I will see the plastic surgeon tomorrow, the closer I am getting to my goal, the worse it is appearing, I know they will tell me I am a candidate for it. So, I have had 3 kids, 2 abdominal surgeries, age 52 and loss 80 lbs, that makes me a candidate for loose skin. the older you get, the elasticity in your skin is less. But I would say I did not think I would need that initially, but now I do. I will post what happens tomorrow.

We did our walk for 4 miles in the woods, out to dinner and now watching the Packer game!

Rachel---tell your husband good luck from me too! I hope you break your number! It seems like I don't move at all, like it takes forever to move anything on that scale lately. It will happen, I just need to keep going! Glad you are back on wagon too!

Yes, I am taking an AS but it just didn't help. I almost fell off the wagon Saturday night but I didnt - I have been having a lot of mentally challenging moments. Where I realize how much comfort I used to get out of compulsive eating.

So, I didn't lose over the weekend. Medi said I'm plateauing so I will start that food plan tomorrow for 3 days.

Congrats to the losers! And those of us who didn't, let's keep on keepin on!

Blessings, Kat

Kat - I can relate. While the AS does make us not hungry, it doesn't stop me from craving food. I've been having cravings the past couple days and really had to fight my urges!

Slept through my workout this morning, so will do it tonight. Think that time of the month will be here in a day or two, which is probably why the scale doesn't seem to be moving...

Went out to go out to my favorite pizza night on a planned splurge, something I have been thinking about doing for a while, so when I am there I get a call my mom collapsed and in ER, so we spent the night in ER, just home now and my pizza just didn't taste as good as I remember it.

Went to plastic surgeon and well of course I am a perfect candidate for a vertical and horizontal tummy tuck and lip on flanks, well, I knew that! interesting and I will tell you more about it another day, I am emotionally exhausted now.

thanks everyone, my mom is still in hospital, I guess they are talking some type of cancer probably caused from her rheumatoid medications, she is at the best hospital here so you get the answers. These situations make it a challenge to stay on track but so far I am but I have a bad headache.

Dawn - praying for your Mom and you.

I sorta had a binge night tonight...went to dinner with my MIL and I had a fried catfish fillet and popcorn shrimp, came home and looked up calories, didn't do as bad as I was afraid of. Filled up really fast and couldn't eat much. No loss this week, but also not gain, seem to be retaining water, which I really haven't had a problem with until recently. After talking to the nutritionist, she wants me to make sure I have a fruit and protein before working out and a 100 cal protein afterwards, I have been trying to extend my cardio workouts and she thinks I'm not getting enough protein. Based on my food journal, she said I have been making good choices, just had a few days where I'm still not getting enough protein calories.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Dawn - Wow, that is scary. I hope you get some answers ASAP and a treatment plan.

Kat- Great job! What is you total loss now?

KRene - I also maintained last week. I buckled down this week and did Week 1 and seemed to get past it, and feel a lot better about my upcoming week. You can do it! Try to stay away from anything with the word FRIED in the name at a restaurant! haha!

Steph - Awesome loss! Doesn't it feel great? And lights a fire in your motivation too! keep it up!

Down 2 this week. I thought it would be more, but I'm happy with it! Especially since I got my period... 13 to go!

well this is the worse week I have had in 8 months doing it, just not on track, I weighed myself and up 2 lbs from all this stress. So trying to get on track here but difficult with my stress being up there. I did see another plastic surgeon, quite interesting on what they want to do for you. I really like this doc tonight and probably will go with him. He said most of my damage to skin is from my kids and not my weight loss, he said kids do the bad number on your body and muscles. Keep going everyone!

Hang in there Dawn, you have come so far. Stressful weeks can really wreck havoc on us, you will get back to it.

We are heading to NC to spend the weekend with our son, DIL, and granddaughters, he will be deploying in a couple of weeks and we want to see him before he leaves, yet not interfere with their time right before he leaves. I'm sure we will eat out some, but thankfully my DIL knows what I am doing and always makes sure she plans for me. She is also very health contentious when it comes to meals.

Quick question, I have a hard time getting to the clinic for a mid-week injection and was wondering if any of you take a B complex vitamin supplement for a few days mid-week if you don't get the mid-week injection? I think I may give it a try and see if it helps any.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, looks to be a rainy one here.

Dawn -- I'm having a hard week too. I just keep going which is something you ladies have taught me here on this forum.

KRene - I have taken B12 supplements (high quality liquid) and in my opinion, the injections are far superior. I hope that helps some. God Bless your son during his deployment. And for the whole family.

I have lost another couple lbs the last few days bringing my total loss to 15.5 lbs. yay! Have a great weekend everyone. I'm going to a wedding tomorrow so any tips on how to stay on track would be greatly appreciated!

Blessings,

Kat

My box arrived and today is my first day. Hope this goes well. A couple things were okay this morning, but the soup at lunch was a disaster. I probably won't buy this again. Drinking lots of water. Planning on roast chicken breast and salad for my main meal.

Awesome job, Rachel! Great job for the rest of you, too! Keep those losses coming!

Dawn - you know what to do. One moment off track doesn't mean you just throw the entire week, just get back up there and do your best. We can all relate to difficult situations when we weren't our own #1 priority, just do your best.

KRene- Enjoy your visit with the family! I used to take B Complex in the winters. I haven't taken it since starting Medi, and can't say whether I would find it comparable to the injections or not.

Kat - Good luck at the wedding! The best thing to do is avoid alcohol. The main dish will probably have a decent portion of protein and veggies, so try to stick to that. Then dance it all off!

foxylday - Good luck! Sounds like you are doing Medifast, not Medi Weighloss. I prepare all our food from scratch, have not used any prepared items.

I'm dealing with some sickness, hopefully just a cold that I need to get over. 1/31 ends my busy period, and I'm just finishing up one client, so not too hectic for the next week (I hope!). My husband is in his first week and doing great! Keep up all the great work!
