There is a giveaway on the Medi Facebook page. I just shared my transformation story. Chances to win money or a vacation and the cover of the magazine!
Good for you Rachel! Good Luck, I have also been thinking about submitting my story.

Ok, I started this "journey" after a trip to Vegas for a cousins reunion. Well, it looks like I will be going back to Vegas the first weekend in March. I am hoping to be at goal by then. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to say I started and ended my weight loss journey in Vegas!

Have had a pretty good week, did eat a piece of chocolate cake yesterday, but other than that have stayed on track. Hope to have a good loss at tomorrow's WI.

Hope you all have a great week!!!

Dawn - so sorry to hear about your son's experience. I'm glad you only took one bite. You know you would've felt worse had you eaten more - and not just mentally, but physically. Good luck quitting the soda! I've never been a soda drinker, so don't have it to give up. Only water and black coffee for me, always!

KRene - There is a recipe online for Keto Chocolate Cake. It is calorie-heavy, but low in carbs. It is nice for a sweet tooth now and then!

Hanging in around here! Not sure what the scale will show. My losses have been very slow now, as is to be expected. I've been very strict this week and still not seeing change on my home scale. My body might be settling...

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is doing well. I'm up 1.7 lbs. I fought as hard as I could to not gain weight over the weekend--its water retention and the ONLY thing I can attribute it to is the fact that I dont get shots Saturday or Sunday. My routine that I have M-F gets totally disrupted on the weekends.

Im gonna keep on keepin on though. My pants are literally falling off me and for the first time in a long time, I can see a glimmer of who I used to (physically) be.

Have a good day! Blessings, Kat

Hang in there Dawn...you can do it.

Down .6 for this week, Down 1 lb Fat Mass, and up 1 lb muscle, so I will take it. Also, lost a little over 2 inches in my waist since Jan 20th. I was sure happy to see that, seems like for weeks I wasn't losing any inches, at least around my waist. I am going to really need to buckle down if I am going to get this last 10 lbs off before our trip to Vegas!

Everyone have an awesome week!

Had my weigh in this morning and lost the 1.7 lbs I gained from the weekend. Had the booster shot yesterday which helps the water retention.

Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Blessings,

Kat

bummer on the gain Dawn. It is so easy to gain! I know you will get it off though.

Great job KRene!

I go in this morning. Again, not sure what I will see. I've been in ketosis, one day my calories went over 1000, my home scale hasn't budged!

My first gain today too... Fortunately only 0.2 lbs. I'm not upset about it, because I lost 3.7 lbs of fat and gained 2.8 lbs of water! My fat percent is now 31.5%. I definitely did a lot more exercise this week than I had done all of last month, including a lot of strength training. I slipped into a pair of pants this morning that I haven't worn in about 4 years!

Hi ladies! Wanted to check in and ask what you do either on weekends or any challenging time to really stay on track. The more specific the better!

Down 24lbs and need new pants!!!!

Blessings and stay strong!

Thanks Texasgirl! Good job Kat! I am struggling more now past 3 weeks than I did in the first 7 months. I just drink water! eat more pickles! walk more! get busy with anything but food! sometimes I am side tracked and then I tell myself to get it together!

I was talking to the doctor about this at my WI this week, not specifically weekends, but cravings in general. She recommended that I make sure to get enough electrolytes, which I hadn't been consuming recently. She also said chicken broth might help. I find the protein bars help with a sugar craving, or a chocolate protein shake (I don't do shakes, but stir a scoop into my coffee sometimes). I crave salty foods a lot and need to come up with a better plan. I try to stick to ketosis-friendly options, but a package of turkey pepperoni might hit the spot, but isn't the best choice, I'm sure!

certainly understand that Rachel! I am just lazy sometimes to do what I am suppose to do, that simple. we all know what to do==just have to work on my mindset, that is where I gain or lose. Keep going! We all can do this!

Thanks for the tip about the electrolytes, I also have noticed I haven't made sure I get some in everyday here lately. I'm also not big on shakes, but will put a scoop in my yogurt. One of my favorite snacks is the turkey pepperoni, I take some LF cheese and put a little piece on each pepperoni and microwave it for about 20 - 30 seconds. Tasty and satisfying.

Lots of water, and I try to really plan my day, especially if I know we are going to eat out or have a potluck or dinner at church. I always try to bring something that is a good option for me. If we are going out to eat, I always drink a large glass of water and use my appetite suppressant during times that I think might be tough. I go over in my mind what I am going to eat. Look at menus online before going so you have something in mind that is on plan. Picture the scale in your mind on Monday morning...for me Tuesday morning. Stay busy, take a walk. Good Luck! Weekends can be tough.

Hey ladies! Did not plan on falling off the wagon for Valentine's Day, but it happened. Not as bad as it would've been in the past, so back on the horse today! Missed some workouts this week for one reason or another, so will hopefully get them in for the next few days.

Keep it up! Everybody is doing great! I understand your struggle Dawn, I don't know if I will even lose one pound in the next couple weeks!

Only 0.4 lbs to go!

So I ate a lot in the past 3 weeks etc. Went out for pizza after seeing my mom in the nursing home and the pizza was good. Yesterday drank a lot of water for weigh into. Surprise for me--only 0 .4 to go to my last goal. If I keep my act somewhat together, I will make goal by next week Monday. Yeah! Off for a walk and getting it together!

Keep going everyone!

Hi ladies! Didn't check in yesterday (was just "over it") but at my weigh in was up over 1 lb. been doing a plateau diet since Sat. I have one more day and hopefully, the number will budge. My body is just not wanting to leave the 155 mark. It will though if I continue and I certainly will continue

Have a great day and many blessings!
