Good Morning All!!! Down 2.4 at yesterday's WI, I was so excited to make it to the 150s I don't remember when I was here, probably about 30 years ago.

I have to share a motivational story. I like to shop at Kohl's and there is one not far from the clinic I go to, many weeks after my WI, I go look around. I'm big on shopping their clearance racks, especially when I have an additional 30% off coupon. Anyhow, I don't have many jeans that fit right now so I have been keeping an eye out. Picked up a pair of size 10s last week that fit pretty good. Well, yesterday, there was a cute pair of Levi's, size 8 on clearance for $4.32. I said to myself, ok, if you can get them on you are buying them. I was so shocked when I actually got them on AND was able to button and zip. They are a little snug in the thighs and waist, but I bought them. I don't think I have ever worn a size 8.

Hope everyone is having a great week and staying warm!!!

KRene - Great job! And I'm sure you look great in those size 8s! My husband and I have spent $200 there over the past couple weeks, they have all the winter stuff on clearance. I found a coat I liked, only in size Small, perfect fit! I've recently turned over my wardrobe to move out the size 10 stuff and bring in the size 8. I was a size 4 just 5 years ago, but even the size 8 stuff I haven't worn in a few years! Keep it up!

I'm down 3.2 today, which makes up for the 0.2 I gained last week. I grabbed the magazine last week, which was full of recipes, so today bought the cinnabun protein powder to try out the donut recipe. I also bought a box of the zippers, looks like they could be an option to replace breadcrumbs in meatloaf.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Restarting Medi today. Hi All, I joined Medi Weightloss in December of 2010 and lost 62 pounds in 6 months. I never stuck with it long enough to reach my goal weight of 150. I just was so happy with being smaller that I lost focus. Now it's 4 plus years later and I've almost gained everything back. So, I decided that it's time to get healthy and smaller with healthy being the main goal. I'm headed to the clinic for a 3 o'clock restart and I'm almost ashamed to get on the scale to show what a failure I've been. But thanks to the forum and reading your accomplishments I placed that call on yesterday. You all inspired me to get myself together and do what I know worked so well for me. Thanks for your inspiration and continued success to each of you.

Congrats everyone ! everyone is doing awesome!!! Just made some of those pancakes, the ones with cottage cheese, egg whites etc, pretty good! I will try to post a pic soon, if I can figure it out! So hopefully next week you will see my pic and think===really! yes, we all can do this if you get your head in the right place, got to keep it there and not look back on where you were, just where you want to go! My mom is in the nursing home and hanging in there. I am now doing all the wedding decorations for a friend of mine, who is dying of breast cancer she is 51 and her daughter is putting a wedding together rather quickly. I am in charge of all the decorating etc and spending a lot of money on it. It is fun for the most part. So let's all have a pumped up rest of the week and let's see some good numbers.

Hi there!

I'm brand new here. As you might guess from my user name, I'm going to be a bridesmaid this year, at the ripe old age of 43!! Whilst an honor, it has made me panic about my weight, which has crept up over the past four years and left me back up at pregnancy weight!

I've been using the BistroMD meal plan since the beginning of the year, but it is hideously expensive and unsustainable for a family, and I've only lost 6lbs in 6 weeks. I'm desperate to lose the weight in time for the wedding in September, so have spent a couple of days reading up on weight loss clinics, as I feel I need some extra help and accountability to do this. After going back and forth between Kaiser (Optifast), JumpstartMD and Medi-Weightloss, I've booked my initial consultation in with MWL. Earliest date was next Thursday, but will try to start to cut back over the next week in preparation.

Excited to find this support group, and look forward to joining in properly soon!

Clinic restart visit

Went to the clinic yesterday for my restart and I was surprised that I wasn't 250(beginning weight 2010) again because I have been totally out of control with snacking . My beginning weight this time around is 237.4 and I'm so embarrassed to be this heavy again. They have changed some things with program so I'm excited to see how the program is going to work this time around. I'm really happy to be doing this and to find all of you again. Wishing all of you a successful Medi Day.

Thank you - I'm excited to get going! Good luck with your restart - at least the starting point wasn't quite as bad as you'd feared.

Thank you and you are right that my starting point this time isn't as bad. I do have a really bad headache but I don't remember having one the second day.

welcome Betty and Bridesmaid! It does work!

Great job Kat!

I've been off the wagon since my WI on Wednesday. Sick again and turned to comfort foods, for comfort and because I didn't feel like doing any prep. It would be nice to have an option that worked for me in that situation! But feeling so run down, working all day, running a fever, dealing with the kids, I just wanted to have a bowl of cereal for dinner, and then for breakfast. I did sleep 12 hours straight and feel a bit better today. This bitter cold isn't helping! Hopefully the family will let me relax this weekend and get over this cold. Have a great weekend!

I hope you can get some rest over the weekend Rachel. I know it's hard with young children, work, etc. plus you're sick and its bitterly cold. I think you're doing great. And remember: this too shall pass

Sorry you've been unwell. Obviously, I'm a complete newbie so have no clue, but could you perhaps turn to one of the shakes/bars/meals in this situation? Just to give you the break you need without taking you off track? I see they've even got oatmeal, which might help in the cold weather!

Hope you feel better soon.

Welcome Betty and Bridesmaid!

Congrats Kat!

I am in your boat Rachel, I don't think I will hit the loss on Monday!

Trying to get focused here!

So I am at 79.6 loss, only .4 to go and I am struggling this week. Soon, I will get there!

Thanks Rachel. You could have soup. I thought that I saw either soup at the clinic or in the new recipe book. If you choose carefully the soup wouldn't be as bad as the cereal. I hope you start feeling better soon.

thanks Betty! I am actually on my last final 3rd goal, my initial goal the doctor wanted was 155, then I decided to got to 145, then I decided to hit 140, this is more challenging my body doesn't want to lose and my heads not totally in the game. I have been doing this since June 23 and it does get harder. Good luck and keep in touch!

Hi all! Up .3 from the weekend. That's the best weekend yet - usually up at least 1-2 lbs every Monday weigh in.

Sending out good thoughts and prayers to all. Let's make this week awesome! Keep up the great work!

Blessings,

Kat

I am close to my final goal, only 0.1 away, I should of just taken something else off to get there! I was there on my scale at home and thought for sure I was but not, next week, they thought it was water issue since I loss 3lbs of fat. Oh well, I will be there for sure at the clinic next week but wanted to do it today. Keep working everyone, good job Kat!

Awesome Dawn! The scales at my clinic only measure in 0.5 increments, except one time I saw a 0.2. So in my mind, 0.1 is literally nothing! Which means you are there! That is so amazing, could you have imagined it over the summer?

Thanks for all the suggestions on comfort foods, I've been back on track, still sick, generally just not eating because I feel so terrible. Also not exercising, which I think hurts me more. I'm headed to the doctor tomorrow for something else, I'm going to have him check for pneumonia. My upper back started hurting me today, which could be a number of things, but would just like to know if I will ever feel better! This is just one of those colds that lingers and lingers and you forget how it feels to be healthy!

Have a great week, I will probably check in on Wednesday after my weigh-in!

That is fantastic Dawn. You did it because .1 is just another piece of clothing. What an accomplishment to meet your final goal. It took less than a year which is not bad at all. Now the fun begins but if you were diligent in sticking to the plan to lose the weight surely you can keep that same mindset to keep it off. A job well done.

Rachel I pray you start feeling better. You are doing the right thing in going to the doctor. Since the flu is so bad this year you can't take any chances. Good luck on you weigh-in tomorrow but concentrate on getting better first.
