I actually tried it last summer. I didn't think the food tasted bad at all. The FROZEN foods are SO much better than shelf-stable, but more expensive, of course. I lost about 10 pounds in 6 weeks (with exercise). So it's not a fast loss like low carb but it did come off.

Buffy,

Thanks for your insight... I know what you mean about the frozen foods, and being more $$...

I might try it, after my 4 day vacation next week...

Yep that is a good way to give them a try.

I actually liked the shelf-stable pizzas! And the breakfast bars and deserts/snacks are all pretty tasty too. The shelf stable pastas? Ehhhh not a huge fan. But again, the frozen pastas are really good!

I have been on and off Nutrisystem since the end of January. I originally bought it through QVC but then went to Uniquely Yours to get the frozen. My official start was Feb 11, but I just fooled around with it until May 15 when I recommitted. I've only lost 20 pounds (my own fault) but I LOVE this diet.

I have seen the frozen foods at walmart and they offer a diabetic plan. Has anyone tried it?

I've been on it since mid April. Started with the Walmart 5 day kits and then joined to get frozen and shelf stable. The food is good for the most part, only a few things I didn't like. I haven't been faithful to the plan, so have only lost 6 lbs. after my next shipment I plan to cancel and try low carb or weight watchers (haven't decided which one yet). I enjoy nutrisystem, but it's kind of pricey and I'm not doing it the way I should, so it's a waste of my money. If I was committed and doing it right, you can lose weight on it.

I really like the frozen better than the shelf stable foods, and it seems a lot of people like the frozen better also. I order directly from Nutrisystem and can choose what I want, including frozen.
I'm not sure, but I think the only difference with the Diabetic plan is that they don't do the Turbo week but they eat all of the regular foods except for the cheesecake bar and the chocolate sunday brownie. Nutrisystem says that their program is based on the Glysemic Index, I have noticed that even though the portions seem small that they are generally satisfying. They really push for eating non-starchy vegetables.
There are a couple of Facebook groups, the best I've seen is called NUTRISYSTEM SUPPORT GROUP. You have to join the group but there is a wealth of information.
It can be expensive, but there are many ways to save money on the food. I get it a a VERY reasonable price, I call it my "Meals On Wheels"
