im still here guy.checking in. my eating hasnt been 100% clean but im still working my butt off at home and in the gym. so at least im balancing out the times i dont eat clean. but im going to get back to eating 100% clean. it's hard though to fully jump on the wagon. I know i've lost almost 50 pounds but losing these last 30-35 are so difficult. doubling up workouts daily with 1 rest day and i'll be cleaning up all my food choices. hoping to finish the month strong.
i've been watching the show Fat Chance on TLC lately where people are losing like 50 pounds in 3 months...it's insane but i know they are spending countless hours in the gym to achieve that. i hope they follow up with the people later to see how many people kept it all off though.just like the show fit to fat to fit....another show i love. haha. i figured the more i watch shows involving weight loss the more it's at the forefront of my mind that i will lose weight. it's odd haha but it works.

I just got invited to a parishioner's house for dinner tonight. It won't be on plan but it will be only one meal.

Well, dinner was late and full of carbs. But I'm still showing a bit of a loss this morning.

My plan starts tomorrow. Is it weird to be excited about being on plan?

I have gain back all my weight since being in this chair. I go back to the ortho dr. next week. I am hoping I can start to finally put some weight on this ankle. It has been a long 12 weeks!

I hope your household gets to feeling better quickly. If it is TOM, I would stay off the scale for a few days so it doesn't mess with your head. I am weak and a .2 gain messed with me so bad. It is terrible.

Oh yeah, they live in the gym. I do not think that is realistic. I am sure some weight comes back once the show is over and they have to return to a regular schedule. You are doing great so far!

experimenting as always

So I'm working out about 1.5-2hours of cardio (Zumba) with 1 rest day. Seems daunting and crazy probably but I figured out a way for it not to be for me.so my current experiment involves interval and rest. After work yesterday, I tried it out. 20 minutes of moderate (borderline intense) cardio every hour. So 20 minute workout followed by 40 minute rest for 5 hours.I do two hours straight on Wednesdays due to back to back Zumba classes but no way could my body do that daily or so I thought. I enjoy this way of rest and intervals why..well I can go full force for each the 20 minutes. It does get hard to stay at maximum just as if was all in one long workout and I am literally dripping sweat. But telling myself it's only 20 minutes helps push hard through it. So in reality I'm burning more calories because I workout harder continually. Normally HIIT workouts are 10-20 minutes including the exercise with all the rests. So since I'm aiming for high intensity levels I chose 20 minutes and now every time by the 20 minute mark I need to wipe down the floor so I don't slip on my sweat haha I normally would do my 45 minutes before that occurred so that caught my eye.

Wow Kal - you are nailing the exercise! I need to follow your lead. I know I need to exercise and that it will make me feel good. But I just can't get started for some reason.

Just start off small. Ten minutes walking. Slowly move up to 15 or 20. Or do something fun like swimming where it's fun but also burns calories.

Makes me tired just reading this. You are great with your physical activity.
Knowing my luck I would have slipped in the sweat and broke my other ankle.

Glad you are jumping back on track!
So Mar, I'm trying to decipher your signature. Are the losses showing from the previous weigh in or are they based on the initial weight (185)?

It's just my weekly losses (or gains). I had my weekly weight but I didn't like how it looked, not that this looks better lol

I started today. I am Stillman except for the greens first boost shake for one meal. It has 10 carbs. Until I am completely healed I feel that I need the well rounded nutrition. I honestly don't know if going completely on plan would hinder the healing process but I do not want to take any chances.

I weighed in this morning and I definitely gained all my weight back.

You made the decision to turn it around and that is half the battle. You can do it.
How is your boot thingy doing? Is a brace or a boot?

I have a smiling scale this morning! And my clothes are beginning to fit better. I don't have a husband, so there is no one but myself to blame when I'm derailed!

I am going to stay on plan today! I need to get this weight back off. All my skin issues get worse when I am this heavy.

He usually does it with me. He just didn't want to start yesterday. He still had beer in the fridge to finish and he stumbled upon some chocolate peanut butter trail mix. He never wants to do it, but he will if I am doing it. (most of the time)

Today is my weigh in - so far this month I've lost 4 lbs. Not bad considering I was on vacation and I had an off plan meal with parishioners! I don't know that I'll make my 10 pound goal for the month, but I am sure going to try!
