Hi Mar922! Nothing wrong with veggies as long as you are eating low carb veggies , you will be ready for the QWL diet .
That QWL is tough so get ready and go for it !

Ugh I spent most of my day food shopping and doing laundry it never ends does it ?

Question should we be specific when we post our non QWL meals ?

Tomorrow I am weighing in. I did 2 days no peaking .

Still - I am so backed up on laundry, I think it would take me two days of non-stop washing! And I live alone!

As to the non QWL meals - I would say it depends on if you ate some veggie - i.e. potato, or some decadent dessert! A potato is not likely to cause anyone to binge, but a sticky descriptive dessert might!

I was down 0.2 yesterday and down another 0.2 today. Im not getting bigger drops coming back on stillmans like others who restarted. I was hoping when I came back to stillmans woe I would see a 4-6 pound loss the first week then slow down. Today is only stillmans day 3 so maybe it's just delayed....I hope.

I hope you see bigger drops too, Kal! Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't, when I restart. I think it depends on what I've eaten before I get back on the wagon.

Well I wasn't eating bad. I hadn't been carb binging or gaining weight back quickly so I was pretty steady. A big drop would be lovely though

My day is winding down. I've been on plan and managed to get some clean up done in my living space. I have lots still to do, but it won't get finished until I get back from meeting my new granddaughter! Tomorrow I need to take my dog to the sitter and pick up some preemie clothes for the peanut. Plus gather, sort and pack! But it will all get done. And I'll be on plan while doing it!

Doing good over here. Haven't weighed in for a couple days. Trying to make the diet work its magic as I know seeing no results on the scale would mess up my head and make it hard to stay on the diet. I am thinking cabbage soup diet is in my near future to get back my motivation. gonna have to keep moving forward

Update I am on plan not QWL the 7 day diet I mentioned previously.

I was tempted to weigh myself this morning instead I decided Monday would be a fresh start ,every step counts and we're doing very well

Mim have a wonderful and safe trip meeting your new grandaughter !

Kal I really wish I had a bit of your willpower to not weigh in I find it a struggle each morning .
Happy Saturday !

Yawn. After church I will be on vacation! I weighed this morning and hopefully when I come home I will the same or less! At least that is my plan! I need to have a way of eating that works for my weird schedule, even if it means that my weight loss is slower than it usually is. I am so tired of yo-yoing, either because I can't stick the plan or because I am invited to someone's house or I travel. Right now it looks like the whole30 is going to work well for me.

Just wanted to let you know I've not been around the last few days as I've been not been well again.I developed a blood clot in my calf... Talk about pain! Been back and forth to hospital since Friday. I'm on Rivaroxaban and started having nose bleeds today so they called me back in. I've just got home and it's after midnight. I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm back tomorrow morning for more tests. Feeling quite concerned. Just have to trust that they know what they are doing lol. Back soon x

Finally checked scale. No progress holding steady. Continuing stillmans this week and starting cabbage soup on Sunday. Yes it's probably gonna be temporary loss and a tiny one since I don't have water weight to lose but also TOM should pop up next week so staying on that strict regime could help see a bigger drop because I usually lose a little during TOM but I also sometimes give into cravings so this way I can force myself to stay on track.

Still, I see you did the 7 day diet. I tried to look it up but I kept seeing the cabbage soup diet rules. Is it the same diet, but different name?

Kal , You are correct different diet name . Pardon my mistake, I do this diet plan for 7 days . I found this diet on Pinterest if you have the app look up how to lose 10 lbs. in a week, you will know you have the correct diet when it lists no eating after 6 pm and drink lots of green tea . I hope this explanation helps

Kal, Pinterest is fun ! This diet is a good start to transition into the QWL. I like yogurt much more than CC so I will add yogurt to the QWL this time around .

Still, I'm just probably going to rotate this then qwl then possibly another fad. I need to keep things changing to get results probably. Mix it up.

Kal , I was depressed at 197lbs. I would only lose water weight at first then go back up on the scale. Then I switched up my diets .

When I am extremely hungry I up the fats ( Bacon & eggs) . Then I can easily lower my fat intake little by little till I am doing well on low fat. I would switch to turkey bacon for a few days , I would then do QWL and it worked . I also never did well going from cheat carb meals to the induction Atkins . My body had to go low fat and low calorie to see the scale go lower, I would eat chicken with low carb veggies and only in the morning low carb fruit like a grape fruit or berries.

I wish I could eat cabbage but it doesn't agree with me In the winter I do chicken soups . I am glad I am away from my highest weight . It took 2 years and a lot of figuring out what works for me. You will figure out what works for your body to lose the weight

I thought about the military 3 day diet, but it's way too little food at some mealtimes. I'm almost 50 pounds down from my start weight and I will never go back. I still have 30-40 to go. Every 5 pounds I drop that previous tier becomes my never again tier. Right now I'm about 185-188 but I will never exceed 190 again. Can't wait to get to 180 so my current weight becomes my never again point. I like to experiment switching up diets...but switching and losing lasts for about 7-10 days before I stop losing and plateau again.so perhaps I really should alternate diets every 7-10 days to keep my body guessing.and it's hard to lose motivation and cheat if each segment is so short lol.

Hi everyone, I'm back on here *again* after a long time away.

Life/depression/lack of exercise/lack of water got in the way and I am back to square one again. Trying to get the initial weight loss going, so starting off with QWL now.
I hate planning meals, and am hoping I can live off hard boiled eggs and boiled chicken for the next 2.5 weeks.

Kal, That is very common for a diet to work for a week . I am poking around pinterest to find a few more low carb diets to try .

I know I never want to look back at 197lbs I was very embarrassed to get weighed at my doctor appointments

Now it's time to move past that and today I took another peak on the scale 156.8lbs I won't promise but I will try my best not to weigh on Wednesday morning .

Hi welcome back elliot!
I am sorry you were depressed .
I hope we can be supportive to you during your weight loss journey .

The 3 day military diet works best if you plan to do exercises like some cardiovascular , yoga and some toning with weights .

The Military diet has carbs like peanut butter and whole wheat bread and this is the exciting part one scoop of vanilla ice cream !

The Military diet worked for me as I was more active during that time .

The QWL diet is perfect to get you into fat burning ketosis . I kiss it too! ( Even though some condiments are allowed I don't know when to quit dipping )

Good luck you got this !

Thanks Still I sometimes worry about writing about my ills on here .You may have read about the tumour I had removed recently (my memory is terrible at the moment so sorry if I repeat stuff and we've been here before) but us oldies (been on the Stillman site since 2010) often shared everything we were going through back in the day... Unfortunately our old posts were deleted when there was a clean uphere. I would have loved to look back at some of the old posts).I bet you're now gonna tell me you are an oldie too, probably before my time and I've forgotten you . I can't see your post at the moment from the device I'm using so I'm just going from memory of your post. Anyway, thanks so much for your concern. It means a lot. It now seems I have Lupus, which is not a nice thing to learn but in some ways a relief to find out what's possibly wrong after feeling so unwell for so very long. Apparently, you can gain or lose weight with Lupus... Typically, I've gained . I mean, I can't begin to tell you... If there has been a med I have needed to take over the years, weight gain has always been a side effect. Never get the one that's associated with weight loss lol... Guess that's the way the cookie crumbles... Well my cookie anyhow. Anyway, just like everyone else here, I have a common goal... I want to lose weight. I know myself well enough to know that once I'm in the zone, the switch will flip and there will be no stopping me (I've made it to goal before and I'll do it again) It's just getting to that point that's the issue... That said With all that's going on, I really feel the switch is about to be flipped. I really feel it! I've said similar things before in the hope something magical would happen but I really feel certain this time and despite everything that is going on, I feel super excited. The truth is, I will be healthier slimmer and improve my possibilities for healing tremendously. I'll be around as much as I can, I'm sure we have spoken before? Oh I'm so embarrassed, the meds I'm on at the moment make my brain like a sieve!
