My menu today is going to go back in to mono food - b/s chicken, eggs, cottage cheese if needed, and steamed greens.
It's a good go to if QWL is not working out for whatever reason and still has great weightloss. Dukan is very similar to Stillmans except for the 0% milk and yoghurt and of course the oat bran to get things moving. The second phase has vegetables every other day. Guess you know this but just in case there are any lurkers interested. Our friend GT lost over 120lbs dong this I believe.

I've got chili con carne cooking for my son... It looks and smells too good! I'll have to cook a Stillman friendly one. Just about to start the sweet and sour chicken and prawns.

The sweet and sour prawns were a success. I used chives in the place of onion which made the juice a bit of a murky colour but it was really nice! I also used fresh ginger. I threw it on top of some shirataki rice which I washed a few times before heating. Have enough left for tomorrow too.

Agreed I bought my bottle of argan oil in back in February and the bottle is still pretty much full . A Lil goes along way and it works great for fine lines , hair and nails and makeup remover .

I guess these are all things that you would find in the sauces he says are acceptable. I'm beginning to think if I don't have the daily cheese allowance on a given day then a limited amount of 0% skimmed milk is acceptable. The macros are better than the cottage cheese so it makes sense. He also says that our cheese should be made with skimmed milk so... I understand those wanting to follow the plan to a T but I like to try and consume the same macros but with a few things not on the list. I'm still super strict. This enables me to stick to plan easier than if I was super strict and didn't make reasonable substitutions. Each to their own though.
I love Lemons . I drink lemon water every morning first thing and I never had a problem losing .
Cheese doesn't help me when it comes to losing and it is a weakness for me . I guess I am envious of anyone who loses and eats a lot of cheese

I always like switching my diets up . There was a diet I found on pinterest . I did try it last month and it included low carb fruits and veggies also nuts. In the first few days I did lose weight. You can not eat after 6pm on this diet and that was my down fall. I needed to snack at night and I would snack on pecans after 6 pm .

Hi guys I'm from the Juddd board, a few people are trying stillmans over there to break stalls and I'm going to try it for 5 days this week. I have bought 1% cottage cheese because I could not find a fat free one that didn't have a super long list of crazy artificial sounding Ingridients. I'm primal/ paleo and try not to consum heavily processed foods. Think 1% will be ok or should I just not eat cottage cheese?

I'm a little nervous , I haven't done low fat in almost 4 years!

Happy Monday !
I am on plan and it's my turn to make the sweet & sour chicken with prawns instead of with the chicken breasts it's ala stillmans . It can be found in the Stillmans recipe sticky , lots of great recipe ideas in case you get bored . Have a great day one and all !

Morning Still
I'm feeling some hunger pangs. Going to finish the rockstar and drink 24oz of water and if I am still hungry I will grab some hardboiled eggs.
Appetite suppression was great yesterday.
I'm just sticking to plain foods so I don't over eat.
I'll probably throw some chicken on so I have it.

Hi Katie !
On QWL I did eat a lot of chicken just plain chicken breast sometimes with spices or just salt it was boring then ketosis kicked in and it was great I wasn't hungry at all ! I drank only water and iced tea unsweetened with it . That's what worked when I was starting out at 197lbs and I have to say that woe brought me to down 186lbs. I was so happy !! Thats why I come back to his diet and now I want the book !

Thanks for the welcome!

Katie- good to know on the cottage cheese! It's so good , too good maybe.....

So does anyone else uses ground beef on QWL? I made the patties for lunch and I think it may not be lean enough, I drained a lot of fat out of the pan and they were juicy and delicious which made me think it was too good to be true lol! I ate 2 which I also think isn't right , right? You are only supposed to eat to stave off hunger I think. Other than that today is going good, I had the 2 eggs, -1/2 cup cottage cheese and 2 patties, I also made chicken breast but haven't had any yet. Idk if I should just stop with what I already ate today or go ahead and eat some chicken later.

If your hungry eat the chicken that's keeping it low fat and very stillmans .

Yesterday I upped the fat in my diet , because I was hungry, it works! I just ate the steak no cravings after to eat more. Then at night I made iced coffee with cream no sugar .

Today coffee black, lots of water and lemon water . I am not hungry at all,and it's after 6pm ! will share my meal with my son .

Keeping it low fat which you are doing is fine and it is Stillmans 100% You got this !

Some of us here, like myself up the fat sometimes to keep it low carb as it helps with the cravings . You may find it does or doesn't work . I lose faster with low fat yogurt than with cottage cheese.
That's why I post here to help give some ideas what may work with some .

I bet you will do just fine

I love lemons too... Throw some ginger to the mix and I'm in heaven. I'm going to start drinking lemon in the morning again. Need to watch my teeth though BC I think lemon can ruin the enamel no?

They are made from konjac which is idegestible dietry fibre so the pure ones have no carbs or calories. There are some with added ingredients like tofu etc. If you google them you'll find lots of info on them. I hated them when I first tried them but I've found ways to use them that have made them good. It's also important to try different brands BC if they are cut too thick they can taste squidgy in my opinion. I really like the rice but I've also found a spaghetti which is good. It's not like the real thing but close enough when your desperate. Oh and they swell up quite a bit once eaten so they are filling too. I drowned the rice in the sweet and sour sauce I made and it was pretty good. They do need something with flavour though BC they don't really taste of much.

Oooh that sounds delicious. I like to fry my steak in one cal spray when on Stilmans. I add Itallian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Hi Vlo, I can never find 0% either. I'm not a huge fan of cottage cheese but use it in recipes sometimes. I've found that low fat cottage cheese doesn't cause me any problems but I don't eat tons of it.
