So happy to see everyone joining in!!!

Julie, I basically maintained on WW with around a 5 pound loss overall. The problem with me and fruit on WW is that it is unlimited and anyone who tells me I can have unlimited fruit, well you know I am going to do that.......

kimmiejean.. I also lost almost 100 pounds a few years ago, and am back up around 40 or more of those lost pounds. I am older also.... not fair!!

Izzysdream, so glad you joined us!! I will be 6-0 next month..... HOW??? I feel 29 inside, hence my name.......

This is going to be harder for me to keep up, but very happy to see you all!

It's really not! I'm noticing more and more "lose" skin. I hate that! I don't mind getting older, I just don't want to look it! LOL

Happy Friday Eve, ladies

I'm so glad everyone is supportive and we will reach our goals, I'm so excited.

Yesterday was a big mess at work, it was emotionally draining and I had to resort to going to my supervisor's supervisor to address some issues. It was totally outside of my comfort zone as I'm not a confrontational person at all. I pretty much like to get along with everyone and be agreeable to most things, but I had to set limits and boundaries on issues that my supervisor seems to just want to ignore and believe I should just accept (regarding a client's behavior and treatment to me). I was able to get some support by venting with some coworkers, one offered me 2 small pieces of chocolate which I was going to just say f%$# it and eat it, but I remembered I had reset my goals and will not let anything get in my way right now. I also thought about I'd have to come here today for accountability and did not want to say I'd failed already...plus G at home really sticking it through with me to support this as well. All I can say is that already this group is helping already and I'm thankful because I can now say that I'm now on day 3 today with no cheats!!

Shari~I am non confrontational too but darn it sometimes you just have to speak up for yourself and what is right! Congrats on your small victory with turning down chocolate

Shari, so proud of you! I know how hard that is to do. I know I have eaten over many a resentment because I was too afraid to do a confrontation...You did not! WooHoo

Welcome kimmie and izzy!! So nice to have you guys here!!

We're all off to the races and knowing we are all in this together (anyone hear music? ) rally helps!

Shari-good job on all fronts! It's so good when it all comes tougher and you're in the zone!!

I am with Kimmie and surprised by my lack of appetite. I was surprisingly full with much less food than I thought yesterday.

Izzy-I've been sleeping deeper but less this week. Hope that straightens out!

I am down to 164 today! a pleasant surprise I must say! That's -6 this week!! and I feel good and have been full all week. I'm not even that low in carbs, although I was lower yesterday, it's been 50-60 at least every day before that! I'll take it!

Hope you're all feeling strong and committed!! We can do it!

I'm running on zero sleep today

I took in a stray kitty to try to get him neutered and shots but I have 4 cats already so had to confine this guy in my bedroom. He was unhappy n scared and cried ALL. NIGHT. LONG. What was worse is DH got the date wrong and he isn't scheduled for surgery till tomorrow night so I will prolly have to do it all again. Tonight I will put him in the laundry room. I was feeling bad about having him be alone but clearly my company wasn't a help lol

Animal rescue is a passion of mine and I just can't in good conscience leave him outside not neutered.

Sorry Lisa, it so hard trying to operate on no sleep and I know it means ravenous hunger for me when it happens. Good thing you are doing for animals! Hopefully you can get some rest later today.

Scrappychik sorry about no sleep!!! I hope things go well and you get some rest at least tomorrow night!

Izzy... wow you need sleep too!!..

Kimmie..... -6 too??? wow you guys!! That is awesome!

I found myself so hungry yesterday, obviously not in Ketosis yet, if I even get there not so sure. I may have to take the carb count down unless I do more exercise.. trial and error!!!

But now I'm in full menopause and had lose skin then so I can't imagine being quite that small at age almost 59. I'd be happy with size 14 again!
Menopause is the worst! I'm choosing to hope that hot flashes burn calories.

Hey Lisa. I'd be a mess without a creative outlet. When I can't bring myself to take on a full fledged sewing project, I am always doing something with my hands. Coloring helps me to not eat!

Hanging tight

Well, it's one week and 6 pounds down. I know it can't continue on at this rate or I'd be at goal in two months. We all know that doesn't happen! I've been trying to be very careful. Each time I add something that would potentially stall me or throw me out of ketotis (I'm looking at you yogurt and Quest bars) I try to eat really clean and then just add that one thing. Unfortunately the two days in a row that I didn't lose, I had yogurt for breakfast. So I will cut it out for now and try again a little way down the line.

Breakfast is going to be a huge challenge. I had to take an extra class at school to keep my full time status so I chose Cross Fit (WHAT am I thinking!) and it starts at 7am. It takes me an hour to get to school soooo, I don't have time to be messing around with eggs. I'm going to need something low carb that I can grab fast and will sustain me through Cross Fit.

I may try to make some kind of egg and bacon kind of thing in muffin tins that I can freeze and pop in the microwave.

Tracey~ creating and working with my hands is my therapy I do protein shakes for breakfast. Easy to mix up ahead and then just grab n go. There is a thread I'm subscribed to with lots of yummy recipes. I will see if I can link if you are interested.

Esmeralda - woohoo for cross fit! Definitely do a protein shake! Or cottage cheese. You'll need the protein and fuel!

I still feel like I'm in my 20's too, and I look better now than I did then! so there you go!

I don't think I'm in ketosis, I'm eating 50+ carbs most days, but I'm still down 6 lbs. I'll take it, but what to lose some fat, not just water . So, I've got my eye on Labor Day and hitting the 150's. I could happen, right? 5 lbs, hmm. Would be lovely! We shall see!

Keep fighting the good fight ladies!

Thanks Julie. I have the Vega brand shakes and I mix them with unsweetened vanilla almond milk. So far they haven't had a negative effect on my weight loss, so that is probably my best bet.

Thanks everyone for the support, yesterday at work was better...we shall see how it plays out in the end as my supervisor is now out until Monday.

Esmeralda~ congrats on taking an exercise class, and at 7 am on top of it! In addition congrats on the loss! Like you, I do best when I keep it clean and simple. I've been doing lc for so long that I can easily sneak other stuff in, but it usually stalls me too.

Julie~ congrats on your weight loss as well! Even better since you're eating higher carbs and able to do this. I definitely see you getting back into the 150's by Labor Day.

Lisa~ thanks for the link; just glancing through I already see some recipes I could try later down the line should I decide to do meal replacement shakes.

Izzy~ I hope you were able to get some sleep last night; trying to function on minimal sleep is just misery all day. Congrats on your losses too, nice drop so far and remaining determined to stick to plan!

Kimmie~ congrats on your 6lb losses too (6 must be the magic number )!

I hope I didn't forget anyone...

I'll weigh tomorrow to see where I'm at since it would be closer to a mid week weigh-in; Tuesday will be one full week. I hope to be at least in the lower 180's range.

Esmeralda~ congrats on taking an exercise class, and at 7 am on top of it! In addition congrats on the loss! Like you, I do best when I keep it clean and simple. I've been doing lc for so long that I can easily sneak other stuff in, but it usually stalls me too.

Hi everyone! Ditto on Shari's reply to everyone above! LOL And Shari, hope you reach your lower 180's goal! I've been taking benedryl and a unisom to sleep at night (hence the foggy mind at the moment - good thing my job today isn't challenging) I have also put my oreck air purifier next to my head on the bed to block out the noise from the street. It's unbelievably loud. I'm going to try to either swim or get to the gym this weekend...or dig out my dumbells from the garage. Hope you all have a "reset" weekend!
