DD today.
so far just black coffee and a LOT of water.
Dinner plan: spaghetti squash with marinara sauce. Since that should be low cal and I'm having a hungry day my optional additions will be: parmesan cheese OR 1/4c ground beef OR a nice big glass of red wine.

DD today

Just working on getting over my "OMG, I am so hungry" moments, which seem to be around 11am and 2pm.

Eating out later, and will probably have lost all desire to eat by then.

I am staying within my calorie quota on UD's. I have hit happy hour with my buds a few times on UD's lately and even though I do not exceed my calories I find that alcohol really cuts back on weight loss. My happy hour drinks are Jack and diet coke. What is your experience?

Unfortunately it is the same with me. Even if I have wine on a DD within my calorie limits I don't see the same losses. If I consistently have wine on UDs (um.. yes.. its been known to happen...) then I DEFINITELY don't see much. The way I figure it, the body burns alcohol differently than fat/protein/carbs and kind of flips you out of fat burning mode. Having said that, I do know there are other people that have posted they consistently have an afternoon/evening drink or wine with dinner and it does not affect them at all. So I think we are just in the unlucky group .

My other theory is that the alcohol is causing some level of inflammation in the body that holds on to water, but the only way that holds true is if the weight comes off later with water loss but I can't say I have seen that to be the case.

Yes, DDs are full of nothing to report

Today tho' is an UD and I'm looking forward to it.

Breakfast: basa (fish) with 2x poached eggs and a serving of carrot-based sauerkraut

Lunch: cauliflower soup with crackers (dehydrated vegetable for me, sourdough for DH) and some kefir cheese

Dinner: chicken with goat chorizo, fine green beans, mixed bell peppers, olives, and green aubergines.

Lunch tends to be optional depending on what we're doing. A Post dinner dessert/pre-bed snack will be fat-free Greek Yoghurt with a spoonful of blackcurrant jam and perhaps some toasted almonds (depends on whether we had lunch).

Yesterday went pretty well, all things considered.

I was just hungry enough before dinner that I knew self-control would go out the window once I saw the menu...so I had a hard roll with peanut butter just to fill me up a bit. It worked! I had a salad at dinner, but sampled a chicken wing and a bite of mac & cheese... then a couple of bites of dessert... could have been worse!

Not sure what today holds. Of course, I don't feel remotely hungry this morning.

I'll be joining friends tonight. It's an UD, so I should be ok having two glasses of wine. Hopefully I can still lose if I'm in my UD range. Will let you know.

I had a very enjoyable, free-but-not-crazy UD yesterday. Today will be busy. I need to plan something to eat this evening - probably eggs.

DD today so I'll have nothing until dinner. At dinner I have some remaining turkey that MUST be consumed or thrown out and I think I'll have it with Kale/brussel sprout salad.

Safe in the Boston 'burbs with my DSi. DDs for both of us.

Lunch: She's doing her usual lunch of eggy and spiralized zuchinni + scallions; I'm finally doing my tater DDs, so I'm going straight for 200 g of French unFries.

It's snowing! So pretty. :-)

Today was tea and coffee (I don't take any sweeteners, milk or anything else in them - never do).

Looking forward to my UD as I have a curry pre-cooked for tomorrow night after a walk round some of the London Christmas Lights.

My body seems to want a DD today. I'm absolutely full up after the following, from this morning:

Smoothie: Greek yoghurt, spinach, protein powder, fruit (400), grapes (100).

Made my beloved Fat Head Pizza for my sistah (the blood one ) for lunch. I have been talking about it for months and she has shown interest, though she is not LC (yet). I am NOT the cook of the family, but it was Very Well Received.

Another tater DD in the form of 300 cals of French unFries. I'm enjoying this. Meals fill me up fine, minimal hunger. Seems odd to be eating so few of them, though!
