Sue just keep in mind that even the small ones take up a lot of space!
I am loving mine, I do kind of wish I'd seen some of the others in person.
Like cuisinart makes one that is a toaster oven that works the same way: the fan and heat coils are in the top blowing down.
I like my toaster oven, but the fan is on the right side, so it doesn't get even convection, know what I mean?

Liver and onions was a no-go. The liver came out really good, but just sauteing the onions in cooking spray didn't make the gravy I remember lol.
Even DH liked the liver, and he hates liver!

If you do decide to get one, I can not recommend "Kentucky Kernel Seasoned Flour" highly enough! If you like Kentucky fried chicken, this stuff tastes the same. Of course I got it on amazon. No local stores have it.

Dottie, the counter space is the biggest drawback from me going ahead with one. I have WAY too many gadgets and appliances as it is. Well, u just keep tempting me don't u? I do love KFC I want to try Kentucky Kernel Flour someday. I'm trying to hunker down to get these last 40 some pounds off me so veg, lots of water, and protein shakes are my big emphasis the rest of this month and September. My weight fluctuated up a few pounds again and I'm aggravated so doubling down on my efforts

Can't remember the last time I had liver. I like it but rarely get it. It is difficult to cook correctly I've found. Used to be required to eat liver once a week at WWs in the 70's

Had a good meeting yesterday as always. Up 2 tho but that's the way this seems to go for me so not too worried about it. I got some new exercise equipment this week. I've been wanting to try doing some boxing for an upper body workout so got a little portable bag ordered that sets up easily in a door frame and got some cute, teal colored gloves off eBay for fun so this is my new exercise adventure. I'm all about finding things that are fun so I will keep up with them.

I will be headed back to the Bay Area this weekend to help my niece, who is moving out here for a job, get settled into one of our spare rooms. While I'm there, I will visit some of my favorite meetings.

I'm doing protein shakes this week to lighten things up is my main food plan and I put in an order for my favorite celestial seasonings teas. That's been my summer go-to this year is lots of tea. My new favorite is their Lemon Lavender Lane. I put just a touch of local raw honey in it and it's a low point special summer treat for me.

Well friends, hope your week is going well and you're having a nice summer. Our weather has been perfect here so that makes me happy. Berta, this is your summer of healing You must be getting ready for vacation so have a great time.

Hugs my friends

Well we are leaving in the a.m. for two weeks. So I wanted to pop in here and say goodbye.
I have not bee doing good with my eating the last three days. I am going to try to behave the best I can while we are gone. But I am going to hit it hard when we get back.

Hubby has promised me he'd go water walking with me in the pool. It is open inside year round. So I am excited about that .
I believe some exercise will really help me with my efforts . Water is easy on these old arthritic joints.

So whatever weight I am when I get back I will just go on from there.

My hearing is improving. Before the implant I could not hear anything out of my left ear. Today I spoke with my husband on the phone and I understood every word he said in my LEFT ear I was so excited.

My voice isn't as robotic and all the noises are diminishing.

Sue
I hope you do well on your next weigh in. I haven't been to a meeting since sometime in JUNE

As my husband was leaving work today our new pastor gave him $100.00 and told him to take me out for my birthday Aug 26th and Anniversary Aug 22. I was so surprised. WHAT A BLESSING

I've been wondering about Rubee.

Dottie
I hope you are still enjoying your fryer. I have my convection oven so I don't need one. But I was tempted to get one if not for that.

I've always wanted a rotisserrie. I had one but it broke and they replaced it but after time it quit too.
I have toaster oven with a spit but the chickens are always to big for it

Well gals I will be back Sept the 5th. So hang in there and lets just do the best we can. ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Glad to hear you're both well
I'm doing good, but I think I'm going to cut back on carbs and fruit.
Peaches, grapes and watermelon are so good right now!
I was reading the "simply filling" list and saw that pickled veggies aren't on it. That seems odd since they're so low in calories, no fat and well, veggies

Sue: the boxing sounds fun! I remember (way way back!) when son was taking karate classes, he had this dummy and I'd box with it lol.
I've been keeping the Premier Protein shakes on hand. Son loves them, and I will pour 1/2 in my coffee now and then for a little change up.
I did blend 1 (the banana flavor) with ice and it was really good!
They're a lot sweeter than most shakes with this low points and sugar, so they go well in coffee.
The tea sounds good! I am on the eternal search for a tea that tastes like pineapple. I tried a bunch of brands and none of them do lol.
I wonder sometimes if the people that create flavors ever tastes the food they're trying to imitate!

Berta: Have a wonderful trip!
Glad you're hearing is getting better and Happy Early Birthday and anniversary!

Berta, I'm so thrilled about your improved hearing. Have a great time on vacation and enjoy your eating out treat. That's so thoughtful of your pastor. Sounds like you're really appreciated. Pool exercise sounds wonderful. I do underwater jumping jacks and leg lifts and arm exercises in the water. Makes me want to go up to our association pool. It does feel good on arthritic joints

Dottie, I feel the same way about foods that cost points on Simply Filling. I have my tracker set for tracking points but mostly eat simply filling foods. It seems to come out about the same either way I've found.

I see a lot of people on Connect use the premier protein shakes. I have a non dairy shake mix I use-Vega Sport Protein. It's 2 pts per scoop. I'm not a coffee drinker though so don't think it would work for that. I use Walden's sweet cream for a 0 pt creamer.

Have u tried the republic of tea pineapple hibiscus tea? I'm thinking of ordering it on Amazon. I've been wanting that pineapple taste in a tea also. Haven't tasted this one but I liked their blueberry hibiscus I tried.

Sue I haven't tried that tea, I love hibiscus tea, but I just get the dried flowers and brew it myself lol.
Tazo Passion tea is a hibiscus base and it's good.

I brew 2 of them in 12oz water then add a pack of crystal light raspberry lemonade and enough water to make 30oz.
Very refreshing and not too sweet since the crystal light is for 16oz water.

I picked up a box of Celestial Seasonings Watermelon Lime tea bags yesterday.
It's good over ice, but it takes 4 bags to make a 30oz bottle that isn't too weak.
It's a good summer flavor, natural sweetness with that little bite of tart.

I used the air fryer to make bacon wrapped hot dogs for DH and son last night.
DH loved them, the bacon was crispy and the hot dogs had the roasted flavor DH said.
I did turkey franks with turkey bacon and they weren't bad, but I'm not a big hot dog fan anyway lol.

We're looking for heavy rain this weekend with the storm approaching the Texas coast here, so I'll probably cook a big bunch of chicken breasts in the air fryer then freeze them just in case we lose power, they'll stay frozen several days, but are easy to thaw and eat if we need them.

I read about that storm coming in. Good plan to have your chicken breasts. I'm going to put some in the crock pot today with some veggies. My niece is arriving and it's what she said she likes. I've used the watermelon zinger tea a lot this summer. I use 2 tea bags for making up a mug of hot tea then I pour it over ice and it makes 2 glasses with ice.

I found the republic of tea pineapple lychee at a health food market near the coast but haven't tried it yet. I'll give u a review when I make it, probably later today or tomoro. Well, busy day finishing getting ready for my niece coming to stay with me. I'm going to get a workout in this am first tho. I will do a weigh in tomoro at the meeting I plan to go to. I'm not going to like the number according to my home scale but I will just bite the bullet and be accountable.

I'll be thinking of you, Berta, on your birthday tomoro Hope you're having a great vacation.

Dottie, I've been thinking about you as I watch the news. Did you have to evacuate? I've been to downtown Houston and it's all under water it looks like. I'm so sorry for all the people going thru this

No, we've been very lucky, it has rained all day today without much letup so we're starting to get some more standing water, but it's still very low.

Houston is a total mess, keep the prayers for the whole area

We were really Blessed.
The storm is slowly moving away. The rain is light today so far and it's windy, which is fine because the wind will help dry out the top soil layer.

Yes the Houston footage is shocking. They have some areas that have water to the 2nd story of homes. A few apartment complexes had to evacuate the 2nd floors because water was getting into them, too.

It's horrible.

I saw on Fox News that a levy broke south of Houston. I'm hoping you're not affected by that. I don't think we've seen anything like this. It's worse than Katrina it sounds like.

Well HELLLOO Gang
I'm HOME and so glad to be. We had a fantastic time. Everyone treated us like royalty. But my eating was off the charts

We went to the Gulf at Panama Beach, Ate at a crab house (Dirty Dicks). I didn't care to much for the things on the menu so I ordered a fish sandwich, (Swai) first time eating it. It was huge and very good. Took half of it home and ate the next evening meal..

Then on our way home we were going to spend the last 2 days with my sister in Tenn. We were on a 4 lane highway and it was raining very very hard and wind blowing. Then my phone beeps and I looked and it said Tornado WARNING take cover NOW! What can a person do in the middle of a 4 lane Highway? So we prayed and the Lord kept us and we arrived at my sisters okay!
We had a great time there too.So here I am and up to 245.

But I have been on plan for the last three days.So I am back at it again.

I ordered BioTrust Protein Drinks 2 Vanilla Creme and 1 Chocolate. It's the best I have ever found and only 2 SP for 2 scoops.Low Carb too, and no added junk. It is so very good I plan on substituting these for one or maybe two meals a day if I don't get to hungry. And with those low points I could even have a little bit of food along with it. If I use skim milk instead of water that would be 5 SP. SO still not bad. When I can have 10 per meal.

I am thankful everyone is okay after all the storms US is having so sad! We have tornadoes in this area. Seems there are terrible storms in nearly all States.

I sold over 100.00 of my crafts on vacation,. And the lady ordered 250 dollars more So now I am busy sewing again.

I also started babysitting again yesterday

I didn't aim to write a short story here But I've been gone for awhile. Seems like forever though.

Until next time HUGS

This is the 7th and I went to my grief group. I am logging in my food into the WW app. Going to play the game and see if it works. I actually ate some raw veggies this week. First time in months. But I bought some Atkins dinners and some WW dinners. Hubby cooks them in the microwave and it limits my portions. So we'll see how it goes and if I loose some fluid.

Berta!!! Glad you're back all safe and sound. I missed you my friend. I had that happen on the road also-in Oklahoma that we were near a tornado so we pulled into a restaurant and hunkered down there til we thot it was safe to get back on the road.

Well, this has been my summer of eating too much. My weight is up and I can hardly face it. Gonna weigh in tomoro at a meeting tho. I just got back home to my house in the mountains after being away for a few weeks. Berta, I'm doing replacement meals also with shakes and soups to get back to where I was. September is the refresh month they say and I need it

Dottie, I finally got an air fryer! I got the power xl one from QVC. I made a chicken cordon bleu in it tonite and it was good-moist on the inside, crispy outside. I've got some more things I will play with tomoro. I have a baking basket and rack and skewers accesories. I want to try some zucchini in it and fish filets and I've got a lobster Mac n cheese from Safeway to try in the baking basket. So this is a new toy for me to try changing things up. I've been bored with my regular foods lately so hope some variety helps.

Hello Sue
I thought of you and the others while away and wondered how you were doing since I was being so bad!!!!

I think the protein shakes will be my life saver. I have had them the last two days for lunch and supper, and will again today. When I came home I weighed 247.8 I weighted this a.m. 240.8 So I will see when Tuesday comes. I am weighing here at home instead of meetings until I get back down to where I was. I haven't been to a meeting for nearly three months.

But mainly because I had my surgery and could not drive for 4- 6 weeks. Then we were on vacation for two weeks. I may go back this Tuesday we will see ?

I LOVE my vanilla Protein mix. It's low carb, and time released. SO keeps me from wanting to eat longer. It's 2 SP with water and the Choc is 3. Doesn't need milk to taste good

Found out my daughter has diabetes also, She needs to lose weight like me.But she had lost 100 lbs and has gained it all back. It is so easy to do.Just as hard keeping it off, if not harder than getting it off.

Well I am happy you are well. We got this Sue. It may be a struggle but "With your hand in my hand, together we WILL make it "

Sue there's a blog called "ifyouhavedanegg" that has several air fryer weight watchers recipes.
She uses nutritional yeast a lot, since it gives a sort of "breaded" texture and it tastes a bit like parmesan

I've been eating poorly under stress lol.
Back on it since Thursday and feeling pretty good.
Detox sucks though.

I am not much of a cook and have no desire to start, so I used the WW smart ones and Atkins meals, adding cooked veggies. My hubby does the warming up. So into week two. It is slow because of the damn medicines I have to take. One week at a time

So quiet here on our little thread lately. Que crickets I'm headed to a weight management support meeting at my medical provider. Figure the extra support can't hurt. I've had a rough few weeks but feel newly determined to knock out some goals yet this month. The fall is my fav season so I feel happier and I'm working on sense of self issues and how I see myself and I'm going to start some counseling to move forward from some toxic relationships. I like learning new things, so hopefully I've got some good adventures ahead.

Who knew losing weight would involve all these complexities?

Mary Mary, I'm really not much of a cook either. It's what I like about my new toy-the air fryer. It's like microwaving foods that brown and crisp up

Dottie, I'll check that site out when I get more time. I hear u about detox. I got solidly back on the road to weight loss again and I have to go thru my stomach shrinking back down and feeling hunger pangs. Luckily I find hunger a pleasant feeling. I learned that when I did intermittent fasting b4.

I've got a weigh in at my regular meeting tomoro. I was up from my low last montht so hopefully I'm going to see things turn around now.
