Hi Everyone - haven't read up - but sorry for all the ailments and other bad things.

I'm doing well. Had hit 88lbs gone- but had a hungry week and have settled around 84lbs. Hunger is over - for a while I hope!! And tomorrow restarting a fasting regime of 2 x 42 hour fasts a week.

Still another 40-60lbs to go - but it will happen!!

I’m not posting any weights this week either. Last weekend was my birthday, which I don’t often get to celebrate in such lovely weather. With a long weekend coming up, we’ve just fallen into a holiday mood.

Just back from dinner with friends in a Polish restaurant. I managed to avoid the potato pancakes, dumplings, and other starch-based dishes. Better than I expected but the emphasis on pig and cabbage makes it comparatively bland but comfort food and, by London standards, it was reasonably priced.

There was an extensive variety of pig on offer Also, 30 Polish beers and many vodkas - including x3 vodka slushies which always surprises this teetotaller. That said, I don't suppose

Hi All!! so a bad weekend for me - not because of Easter - but TOM - oh well!! Back to my fast today!

Life is odd....

There is a chance that DH may be posted to Muscat - we are keeping our fingers crossed, but don't really expect it to happen - but will jump at the chance if it does. Truthfully, if they offer it, we don't have a lot of choice - so good thing we would be on board with it (and Kissa may visit more!!)

Last September, I sad down and chatted with the owner of my company and explained that I wanted to move to the University (where he is the Vice Chancellor - nothing like using wasta (nepotism!). He was great, even though it would mean leaving his company. Anyway, nothing happened, nothing happened, nothing happened - I've been working on future projects for the business and thinking about where I will take other avenues in my life and then suddenly out of the blue - I need to work on paperwork for a job at the Uni.

The job is kind of perfect for me - Director of Centre for Teaching & Learning - looking after Uni staff's training needs.

The paperwork is a nightmare however, and I probably need to fly to Muscat & Dubai to get it sorted (or maybe send my qualifications to the UK and Australia!).

I have to work on it - but at the same time, I'm hoping DH is offered job in Muscat - and I'm in the midst of my final paper for my Masters (only first year) and trying to sort out lots of upcoming business - and a few other things.

It seems it never rains but it pours!

So anyhoo, hopefully it will either be Muscat or the Uni job - both won't work - because we refuse to live in different towns - we'd do it for a while and fly up/down - but not long term!

So, best go do something that needs doing!

I made it once, very good but a bit salty.

All good here, up a few pounds but will be gone in a few days.

Vicki - that's excellent news about the job - well done!

It's finally brightening here which is always helpful. I'm making a concerted effort to try and be out for some early morning light and sun this year. I have long-standing sleep problems and I can't solve my circadian rhythm mismatch without more natural light and sun - that would be me and most other people in the UK. It's just so difficult to fit this in with commutes etc.

Strange kissa cos mine wasn't in the slightest bit salty, maybe the type of mozzarella? I didn't add the salt mentioned in the recipe either

Slow I agree about the light, I get out as much as I can and also take high dose Vitamin D3 to help with. as I have fibromyalgia I am often depleted. Light thru windows does help but not as good obviously

Hello! Nice to see some posting.

I haven’t tried the pizza recipe. I must look for it!

I’m still hanging on. Weight is steady — I’d rather it went down, but not going up is something. My husband and Bembo are fine, but still lots of serious illness in the extended family. It’s going to be a rough year or two.
