Mim and Makeme's 3 Weeks no Cheats Challenge!

Inspired by Al's stats, I decided to start a 3 weeks no cheats challenge. Al (an old member here) dropped 21lbs in her first three weeks on Stillman's! She had an iron will and went on to lose many more pounds. I'm not sure my will is as strong as Al's but I do think I can sacrifice 3 weeks in exchange for 21lbs! Of course I'm aware that we all lose differently and that weight loss is dependent on many things but the prospect of losing as many as 21lbs in a relatively short period of time is encouraging! Especially when I have so many to lose.

I got to goal some years back doing Stillman's so I know this plan works if you work at it. I allow certain things that are not on the QWL list because it's obvious to me that the plan is dated. The extra things I allow however, do fit the macros and therefore follow the same principle as the original diet. Like I said, I got to goal in the past using this plan so I know what works for me. Many members who have followed this plan successfully, adapt it somewhat. If you don't like cottage cheese consider 0% yoghurt or a light mayo. I find unsweetened almond milk fits perfectly into this plan and adds variety.

So today is Sunday 19th of February and it marks day 1 of the challenge! If you decide to join, tell us your name and at the end of week 1 (next Sunday) let us know how many pounds you lost... No need to disclose your weight if you don't want to, I won't be telling you mine just yet.

Here we go Mim!!

Day 1 going well...
Breakfast was pork mince that I cooked with herbs and some onion powder. I had a little scrambled egg on the side. It's after 2pm and I'm not hungry so no lunch yet.

Decided to cook roast pork for dinner. I have a beautiful organic piece. I'll have to avoid the crackling which is my favourite thing. Oh well, no pain no gain I guess.

Looks like I'm on my own. Not even Mim has dropped by! Where are ya Mim.?
So, it's been a good day. It's nearly 7.30 pm and I'm confident I have this one in the bag so yay me.

I've already decided on breakfast tomorrow. Sliced soft boiled eggs on ham and a frappe made with almond milk and vanilla.

Day 2
Boiled eggs and ham for breakfast and I'm going to throw some turkey mince in the croc pot for dinner tonight. I have a piece of steak that needs eating so that will be lunch me thinks.

Day 3
Breakfast was ham and eggs and lunch is chicken with a light mayo dressing. Maybe turkey mince for dinner. I have a craving for cottage cheese and I'm not that keen on it so don't know what's going on there. I might throw some fresh chives in and see how that goes.

Day 4
Breakfast is scrambled eggs with a little low fat sausage and a spoon of light mayo. Lunch will be turkey mince and a spoon of cottage cheese. Dinner will either be more turkey mince or a bacon steak with a little LF cheese and fresh chives. If I feel like snacking. I'll have a shake made from almond milk.

Dated? Stillman's is strict, and that's why it works. If you "adapt" it, then you're not following Stillman's. He supplies a strict food list and clearly says not to deviate, not even a piece of celery. Almond milk, mayo/light mayo, and cheese are not on Stillman's. Mayo and cheese are allowed on Atkins Induction though.

Almost never do we speak to each other the way you are speaking to us, SB. We are not stupid. Stillman, by the way, has many diet plans.

I'm still here!!! Been so busy, fell asleep with iPad in my hand last night trying to post! I'm still on plan!!! Weigh day tomorrow. I know I e lost weight... Can tell by clothes. Yesterday I ate chicken all day! I cooked it in the crockpot with some stock, herbs and chives and just fished a piece out whenever I felt hungry. I put mustard on some and had some with cottage cheese. I'm about to put some more breasts on. It's a good way to eat BC the chicken cooks quick and I leave it on so its always hot. Wash it out at the end of the day ready for the next. Think I've gone chicken mad! Gotta catch up with posts. BBS

Still on plan Mim... sorry, I had a few things going on but not one illegal bite went through these lips I swear. That silly person! Stillman wrote this diet in the 60's... He allowed regular tomato sauce. It's obvious he would of adapted his plan if he was still living. Light mayo has better macros than cottage cheese. Almond milk is lean protein. Some people think they know it all but worse than that they feel the need to share their nonsense with those not interested. If you want to follow by the book and eat full sugar tomato sauce, go for it. You'll still lose weight. I'm not knocking the unaltered plan. It's great, I however, prefer to choose my foods wisely, nuff said. I wasn't going to get on the scale but I felt inclined... It's great news Mim !! I'm 8lb down!!! The hard work paid off!! Wonder if I'll drop another for the official weigh in tomorrow.

I know right!!! Mim I'm so happy, I can see clearly now the rain has gone. It's gonna be a bright sunshiny day. No seriously, it's taken so long to feel this positive and I feel good things are coming our way! Looking forward to seeing your losses. If you jump on before I do, copy and paste the graph and log your pounds lost for the week. Can't believe it's week two already (it's after 1.am here but I won't weigh until the morning). Good luck Mim.

Thank you for the warm welcome back!! You must've known I needed the extra help! I have become a chunky monkey once again, but I have no fear. It will be gone! Better be. Crossing my fingers that QWL will still work for me. Hoping to follow in your minus 8 pound footstep!!
