I'm logging weekly results here, maybe saying what I'm eating. Still posting in the Feb thread though. Think it's good to have a place where we can see all the losses together.

Silly person? I lost almost 20 lbs following Stillman's. That ain't nonsense. I actually followed the diet. I was eating chicken breast and scrambled eggs only, prepared without fat or greases like the book says, and no tomato sauce, mayo, cheese, or almond milk.

I'm just confused why most people on this forum aren't really following Stillman's plan. If you modify it and add foods that aren't on the list, even vegetables, then you're not following Stillman's Quick Weight Loss Diet. It's more like Atkins.

By the way, regular tomato sauce is NOT on the Doctor's Quick Weight Loss Diet a.k.a. Stillman's. Why are you spreading misinformation? The allowed foods list is on page 30 and I'm looking at it. I have read this book so many times, and all of Dr. Atkin's books. I know that tomato sauce is not part of the Stillman Quick Weight Loss Diet. Fats, mayo, most cheeses, and any kind of milk are not allowed either, but they are allowed on Atkin's (except for any kind of milk). The problem with milk and nut milks is the amount of carbs, which might cause stalls. Maybe Dr. Stillman would have updated his plan. Maybe he wouldn't have. Dr. Atkin's plan was modified after his death to include bars and shakes, and people on this forum say that these foods make the diet less effective.

Dr. Stillman did allow ketchup on the QWLD, but back in the '60s and '70s, ketchup and salad dressings did not have nearly as much added sugar as they do now, so it's not even comparable. Maybe some people are interested in this fact. The nutrition information for commercial salad dressings are in Dr Atkin's 1972 book; they had almost no sugar. Ketchup being allowed doesn't mean it's okay to drown one's food in it either. This would defeat the purpose of strict dieting, and is common sense. Adding cheat foods that aren't on the list and coming up with recipes and products also defeats the purpose. The diet is simple and it's strict for a reason. Perhaps it's human nature to automatically look for ways to get around the rules, but that makes it complicated.

O oh! The food police are out.
Like I said... I follow Stillmans. Certainly not Atkins. Virtually fat free. I lost 50lbs following Stillman's some years back and I've lost 9lbs in the last week again following Stillmans. I have the book also.
You really are beginning to get on my last nerve. Kinda Like a bad smell.
I don't need to justify my diet to you. Why are you even here? Go away! You've said your bit now leave.

Not gonna lie, I'm struggling a bit today. I'm not hungry but I have that something is missing thing going on. I will not cave, it will pass. Breakfast was chicken. Lunch is chicken and a laughing cow light with fresh chives and dinner will be salmon.

Thanks Al, I stayed faithful to the plan. In fact, I ended up skipping dinner!
Today will be eggs for breakfast then bacon steaks topped with a laughing cow cheese and fresh chives. Salmon for dinner.

I am enjoying my morning coffee, of course! I'll have eggs for breakfast, not sure for lunch and soup for dinner. I may be going out to eat (I hope not) for lunch. If so, I'll have a salad!

Tomorrow is March 1st! I'm going to really push to lose 10 pounds in March.

The peeing thing has started again. It's quite annoying but I guess it means I'm losing so that's good. I'm going to take some potassium. I have def noticed a difference taking this when doing any kind of low carb plan. Don't get that awful weak feeling from peeing out all the electrolytes and stuff.

I ended up having a steak tonight and it really did the trick, it was really satisfying. I think I'm off of chicken breasts for a while. I'm going to get some lean lamb chops to have with mint sauce. I'm looking forward to that.

Hey ladies! Have a fabulous Wednesday! Thanks for letting me hang here a bit and cheer y'all on! I'm highest I've been in almost 11 years. I now have several days off of sugar/wheat and I feel better, but my weight is up due to a beta blocker I started this week and I've been on prednisone since November. I'm just grateful for the mental peace of eating clean right now.

Wow, this being on plan is habit forming! : ) We are moving towards the end of week two!
I'm going to get new make-up today. I'm about out of mine and I want something new. I'm going to try Bobbie Brown make-up.
