Thanks MIM and MMS! I lost some water overnight! Woohoo!
I work for a tiny company with lots of dysfunction. When one boss is mad at the other boss, that boss tends to take it out on me. She knows what buttons to push. She did it today and I almost walked out. I could feel my blood pressure shoot through the roof. I'm so reactive! Life isn't fair, especially bosses! LOL
Thank God for the beta blocker, it didn't go as far up as it normally would (I keep a cuff monitor at work because I'm supposed to check it everyday). Anyway, the job is easy and pays well and I have lots of free time, so I'm hanging tough. LOL
I feel so much better eating healthy this past week. I don't even want the junk which is a miracle. I looked at the guidelines for Stillman. I would be starving on low fat. But I need to pick a plan soon and stick to it. I do better with eating "guidelines" I lost 90 on modified atkins (strict atkins the first 6 months no cheating). Carb cycling in maintenance for years - staying away from gluten/sugar.
Spring and renewal is in the air. I CAN get healthier this year!

I'm going to get new make-up today. I'm about out of mine and I want something new. I'm going to try Bobbie Brown make-up.
I know Mim!!! Who would have thought!!
Bobby Brown is good quality. What did you buy? I really could do with investing in some makeup.

That's not nice... Your boss sounds mean. Glad you managed to hold it together.

After a few days on Stillmans, certainly by day 5, your appetite really goes away! It's honestly quite amazing and IMO far more intense than with low carb high fat. You just don't feel hungry. It is a boring plan though and the first few days can be really hard. I normally start high fat until I have some appetite suppression and then jump in.

Wow 90lbs with modified Atkins! Great numbers! What do you eat on the modified version? How does it differ from the regular plan? Sorry to bombard you with questions! I've followed Atkins in the past but found Keto works better for me out of the two plans. Unfortunately, I'm the sort of person that can eat fat until the cows come home. I don't seem to get the appetite supression that most do when eating high fat?

It is good Friday morning in my neck of the woods, so of course I'm drinking coffee! I'm meeting friends for lunch today. I will choose on plan food!

I ended up buying a verity of make up. The foundation is different from the blush, I have two different under foundation products to keep my skin from looking so red. I'm going to get Bobbi Brown the next time I'm hack in IL visiting!

Lets see, that was almost 11 years ago. When I got down to around 155 I was eating 30-40 grams carbs during the week. Saturday would be my carb up day (I was dating). I would wait until after 3ish to eat anything. It could be a Mexican meal (no wheat tortillas but corn tortillas and salsa and usually fajita meat/veggies) or buttered popcorn at the show with a low carb shake. And very dry red wine during that period. lol. On sundays I would wait until after 3:00 and ususally get a rotisserie chicken from Sam's Club and eat that, lots of skin and a low carb veggie or no veggie. That was my lowest carb day of the week - aimed for under 10 grams.

I tried to edit the last post and add this picture but I must have waited too long. The first picture is April 2006 when I started low carb at around 220 pounds (my highest was 240 when I was 21) I got down to 129-130 after tummy tuck surgery in 2008 but it was scary skinny for me. The second picture is 2010 I weighed 138. Now I'd be thrilled to weigh 155 or 175

Thanks Izzy. That's an interesting plan, especially the wine part. I was watching something about carbing up yesterday. It's seems there's an equal devide with some preferring carb ups and others strictly against them?

Well done Mim, that's great news!!

Another three weeks! I was hoping for some broccoli.

I'm def up for losing more weight but I might add some salad or a little bit of veg. Haven't decided? Def up for another challenge though, it's honestly kept me going where I would normally quit.

Well done again Mim!

So today will be the same as yesterday... two eggs for breakfast, large lean steak for dinner. If I feel hungry in between I'll have some tuna or a shake but I'll probably skip lunch.

Happy Tuesday Ladies! Keep up the great work! I got my test results back from the functional doctor last week. I have leaky gut and candida. She wants me to start an anti candida diet.

Hey Izzy. Thank you.
I've heard lots about Candida and also about leaky gut but I don't know much about either condition... How are they diagnosed? Is it via blood test? Do you need to take meds to get better? Sorry for all the Q's.

OK I have to laugh coz I asked you about leaky gut and right before I hit send, I noticed I had mistakenly typed leaky but!!

So, I've decided to do another three week, no cheat challenge when Sunday arrives. However, I need a change so I've decided to follow a plan more close to South Beach for three weeks. My weight might jump up a bit at the start but I'll take the chance. I need more variety! Even though I won't be following Stillmans, I'll post the challenge here because well, I like it here. No doubt I will return to Stillmans at some point. If things don't go well for whatever reason I can always drop the veg and ease back into Stills I guess. Let's see what happens. Anyone is welcome to join, just decide on your plan and commit to three weeks, no cheats. It's that simple.

Mim!! Can you believe it's Wednesday already!!! Are you in for another round come Sunday?
