I finished the Marathon yesterday Puppy, I was number 20 in a field of 50 but I didn't care, I only wanted to prove to me... that I could do it.


8 Miles of Walking in the Neighborhood today and One hour in the Garage with the Heavy Bag...

Let myself get sad and confused and Frustrated this Morning so I did an hour in the garage with the Heavy Bag. I do feel much better, should not have second guessed myself. Ahhhh..... I am a work in progress.

I use to be a people pleaser myself till 2 years ago. I lost a lot of friends which in hindsight were not true friends but a step above acquantinces. I was always initiating texts, calls, visits. I always asked about their life. I stopped contacting people it literally took 2 to 3 months for people to reach out. I did politely respond a great length of time past again then they asked is everything ok? Did I do something? My response was everything is great. Literally haven't heard from those people again and I did a lot for each one of them and was really there for them. It was a hard lesson. I now invest in myself and of course my children. Don't second guess yourself Enemysugar, invest in yourself your worth it!

Your advice means a lot to me, we learn, not always through our own experiences in life but through the help of others who have gone through similar experiences. I must tell you the older I get and the further along I get in this road I am walking, I depend less on pleasing people, not that I don't love or care about them but that in order to thrive as a human being, I must value myself enough to care for myself. Isn't that the greatest gift we can give to our children.

I took the plunge and walked 10 Miles today. I must admit that with the heat I only did 6 push ups and 20 squats. I just didn't have it in me to tackle those bleachers. Tomorrow is another day.

Enemysugar wow 10 miles that is awesome! I understand about the heat, I literally have a fan pointing at me while on the elliptical in my air conditioned house and I am literally drenched in sweat cause it's so hot outside. Don't overdo it. People literally die here every year hiking during the day and I'm talking some are young and in great shape. The heat actually kills more people nationally than other weather related things like tornadoes and flooding. Keep safe!

Hi Puppy Love! I know you explained earlier why you do so much exercising, but can I ask - how do you do it? Do you do it all consecutively, do you break it up into multiple sessions throughout the day? And which do you do first? Just really curious. I hope I'm not being too nosy. It's all I can do to get my exercise in (because frankly, I hate it lol) and I admire anyone who has not only the commitment but the interest in getting so much done.

I don't sleep well so I am up extremely early. I do a hour on the elliptical then do something else. I'm on summer vacation, I teach but is extremely hot here so I am sticking to my schedule I do when I work. Believe me I hated exercise but it is the only thing that allowed me to stop taking opioids for pain. I love it now. Not only do I have a better body and wear a smaller size at a higher weight but I can eat more! Come join us . Enemysugar started out slow like me and now look at her she is a rock star!

Thanks for the reply! I find that my fat loss has given me a lot more energy, so I can (and should) exercise. I love walking, but have this week started adding in some DVD and Beachbody workouts.
