Hopefully I get a dress before then but I am using it as motivation as well like by the end of my strict stills hopefullt i will be down a dress size and order that. or smaller.

I am not sure what do to for ordering it. I am inclined to order it in the size I am when I buy the dress so that if I don't lose more weight I still have a nice dress but if I lose weight then it will be too big and i will need alterations. What should I do?
I think they would suggest to order the dress in the size you are now, and they can always take it in. You have so much to be happy about. Love yourself the way you are and just enjoy every moment of the prepping and planning and festivities!! Future hubby loves you just the way you are.

If you needed another option... buy a display dress, and just have it cleaned and altered later on. Put the money you save toward your honeymoon and go all out!!

ugh... i swear i hate chicken. I would rather not eat at all then take another bite. This diet really stinks. that's my complaint for the day.

On the other hand, I have absolutely no appetite whatsoever, which has not been the case for a really long time. Im gonna just keep pressing along...sigh

aleriaaa- hiya! Ty for the reply. How are you?? I am surprised to see you here and I might have missed it but are you trying to lose for real? Your stats look good!

But I get it, I need to feel good at a weight I like.

Ok I will look into lean bacon. I guess it's frustrating because everyone says keto high fat is great?!!! Well i think it messed my body up I prefer stillmans... but I am trying a lifestyle that will last for life.

On the other hand, at least I am still zero-5 carbs. Been that way for about 5 years.

I didnt change my stats or signature yet because I'm pretending that this round of Stillmans doesnt even exist.

Actually, I dont plan on being on it for very long, (fingers crossed) and I think my last results will be more helpful to someone out there that is just starting off or thinking about taking a Stillman's adventure.

Hi Aleriaa

That makes sense because you prob wont be here long! Given your willpower from the past, you will get it off quickly-- if you really need to??? lol

I think you are great motivation for me and thank you for the support.

I guess I am hoping i see some results quick to help me stay focused and ON PLAN.

I only have about 10lbs to lose whick not too shabby! I am going to go to Trader Joes and get some chicken for the week after I get done working a bit.

I need something else to focus on instead of food.... this week might be rough with no school.

Hey-- did you ever try the keto with more fat? I think I am more mad at myself for thinking that was for me just because other people do it. Personally, I think after I get to my goal, I might increase the fat but not ALOT.

Learning experience, right????

sorry to hit you ladies up with lots of posts!

I have read so much on protein turning to glucose and then you are not losing? I wonder if that is what happened to me years ago when I stalled on Stillmans? I guess I could just get to maintenance level and then add in fattier cuts of meat, right?

I wish high fat worked for me too! I can maintain on it but not lose that's why Atkins never worked. I have this theory that every diet works but they just don't work for everyone. It's a shame lol

I have tried to find a display dress for that exact reason but unfortunately I don't like any of them haha. I really don't want a white dress but I may go there just because I can't seem to find one I like for a price I am comfortable with. If I do get a white dress I am going to have purple hair. I have decided that haha

Stats: 263/167/155
WOE: Primal w/ JUDDD
Start Date: 2013
Day 1:168.2
Day 2: 166
Day 3: 165.2
Day 4: 164.2
Day 5: 164.2
Day 6: 163.6 (down day/stillmans 336 calories)
Total lost: 4.6 lbs

Today's weight? 167 doesn't seem to matter what I do anymore. I lose weight during the week and I always put it back on the weekends. so unless I am hard-core dieting on the weekends as well I will never make any progress. Depressing. I did keto on Saturday but I also went out for drinks and the next day I was up 1 pound, which for me is not bad after drinking. Sunday was also Keto but I have a sneaking suspicion I went over my carbs I didn't really track but I ate a lot of LC baked goods( made keto donuts, had sunflower keto bread for breakfast, ate a nutrition bar before practice that was 6 net carbs)and I just ate a lot of calorically dense food. So I'm up another 2.4, making my gain 3.6 for the weekend.I did end up doing a down day on Friday hoping to get lower before the weekend but it didn't really work as you can see I only dropped .8 from Friday. I fasted all day and then later in the evening I had a serving of yogurt and a serving of cottage cheese and went to bed. So it was still technically a Stillman's day I just only had 336 cal.

So I'm a little indecisive on what I should do this week… My original plan was to continue on Stillman's. However, my husband is on a business trip till Thursday, so I don't have to meal prep for him which would make fasting a lot easier if I don't have to handle any food. So part of me kind of feels like just going back to Juddd for this week because it's just less cooking and cleaning. But then again I do want to give Stillman's shot to see if it will really help me push past this plateau… Anywho in either event I won't be eating at all until I decide. If I get way too hungry in the evening then I will definitely do a fast five Stillman's day.

Peace- good luck! Hope that 10lbs comes off quick! I also recently started keto 2 months ago and although there was the initial water weight loss( from holiday gain) i noticed that it hasn't gotten any more weight off and actually it's bumped me up a bit...... I really wanted it to work for me but I think I need to got back to regular low carb paleo because my weight was 160-163, keto has me 164-168

Aleriaaa- ugh I so remember the days where I would rather starve than eat chicken! good thing you have that iron will! Thanks for all the book info! I really do need to pick it up, but it's hard to get a copy no? What do you plan on doing for maintenance after this round of stillmans?

Mar- when I got married I order the size I was and the. When it came I had lost 2 dress sizes , too much to alter so I had to exchange it for the size I was. I think i was lucky cause it didn't take long to order and get the new size. Also because it had been awhile my dress was on clearance and they actually refunded me the difference, score!

Makemeslim- was it turkey bacon?

Im not a good maintainer. Ask all my friends here.

However, I plan on going back to plant based, minus the rice, pasta, breads and fat (oil). Wish me luck. I need it!!!

Hiya,

Hoping it's okay to jump in here. I'm starting today a modified QWL (7th March), so thought i'd write updates in here.

But I will start a new general thread to introduce myself in Stillman's

Anyhow, I am coming back to stillmans because it was the only way that kept me full and relatively lean. Right now, I need to lose 10 lbs. I hope i get the support and reminders that I can do this.

The only thing I will miss is chicken wings. I love them. And bacon... but I can get lean bacon and use that..

What do you guys think? The butter totally messed me up. Plus, I was trying foods that I normally would not eat.

Lord.. give me HOPE and Strength for stillmans becuase I feel so puffy and gross now.

:)

Alerria-- Love the pic and Mar-- I TOTALLY AGREE. BORING IS AMAZING. I LOVE LOVE LOVE PLAIN AND BORING EVERYTHING
Hello Peace!
I think Keto can work. I think many have issues due to their calories and/or protein being too high. It's a fine balance. I honestly think finding the sweet spot is the trick with keto. The pictures on Reddit during photo Friday are amazing! So many are having fantastic results. I will definitely try this again at some point but I'll stick rigidly to the macros and calories given out by Ankerl.

Welcome back Peace. You can do this! 10lbs will fly off!

You can do it Al. Have you considered tuna or is it def chicken all the way?
I remember back in the day, everyone hear was tuna mad! There was lots of talk about the tuna pouches. It is like chicken though in that it gets boring quick!

Yup, lean bacon causes me no issues at all. I don't buy the stuff about salt. We need it bc we pee so much on Stills.

Actually, I dont plan on being on it for very long, (fingers crossed) and I think my last results will be more helpful to someone out there that is just starting off or thinking about taking a Stillman's adventure.
How long do you plan to be on it for Al. Tell me so I can make use of your time here on plan! should I do another three weeks after this round?!!

No regular bacon with all visible fat removed. I believe we have different bacon here in UK than you typically see in the states? It's called back bacon. It has a round of meat and then a long part that has fat and meat combined. I cut the long bit off and have the round.

I am so pleased with myself. We had a family dinner and so I had to go off plan (wasn't sure what the meal would be or if it would work but the entire meals was carbs lol) anyways instead of using that as an excuse to be off plan all day I just had my meal off and jumped right back into it! Normally if I have a dinner somewhere where I am not in control I use that as an excuse to have a weekend off plan or if anything a full day off plan but not this time I stuck to plan all day and now I am right back on!

I have one meal off plan a week for the month of march so I am happy I was able to do it! It will probably slow my loses this month but even if I only lose a couple lbs it's still less than I weighed at the beginning of the month!
