Also Peace... I hope you didn't think I was suggesting you did Keto wrong... I get its not for everyone. I'm sure you didn't think that but I wanted to be sure? I Was def over eating protein and calories too. That's the thing with Keto for me, I really need to log everything or I'll overeat.

I totally 100 percent agree. I ate wayyyy too much protein on keto so I have to be strict. It's hard sometimes though because I don't eat veggies or cheese. So it's either fat or meat for me.

What is your plan?

I've not decided on my deficit yet but my protein will be between 98 and say 110. I'll probably do around 1400 calories a day but that could lower as time goes on. I'll see if I can sit on 1200. I'm considering having an eating window between 12 and 8pm. Probably won't do that until I'm comfortable with the plan though.

Gotcha! Same here.. I am thinking 75 max protein, with 1000-1200 cal. I think I don't need as much food as I think since I am in weight losss phase. Water!!! I am hoping to get to 113-115 soon.

What is your menu like? I am still choosing relatively lean proteins because that's what I like. I do think stillmans works and might try every other day but when I do stillmahs my insulin levels get spiked with all that protein.

My stomach just feels like it ballooned lately. It's ok! I can lose it. we gotta stay positive.

Fasting helps me too. I am at omad. 5-8 eating window.

Hi there

I hope you do not mind if I stay on this thread even if I am not doing still everyday. I am still zero carb but added some meats that are not totally low fat! I need the fat right now to focus, and I think I am actually losing with less protein and more fat. I just have to watch the protein which is ok by me. One day at a time.

I think it's fine for you to post here! I have posted where while doing high fat and for the first 2 weeks I was doing Dukan and just transitioning to have more protein days. And now I am fully stillmans. So I definitly think it's ok. I get way more out of these boards than any others I have posted on.

Hi Bratty!! Dont stress, it makes it worse.

Mar- Thank you! yes, I am hoping MAkeme is ok.. no word from her or the friend situation.

I did high fat today with bacon and some butter. I am still zero carb.. I had more protein than I wanted to today but tomorrow I will go back to strict macros. I did do 2 workouts, and worked all day so i am hoping I made up for it.

Officially on plan today. Yesterday I boiled eggs and made some breakfast egg/ sausage muffins for quick meals. Surprisingly I was only up 6 pounds.

Hey Peace... I decided to stick with low fat for the next challenge as I just have so much lean meat and poultry to get through. I will def be doing Keto at some point but for now I've switched to Dukan as I need more variety than Stillman offers.

If I was eating Keto it would probably look a little like this...
Breakfast
2 slices of streaky bacon, 1 fried egg, mushrooms, 50g avocado, 2 grilled cherry toms

Lunch, around 3 (depending on size) roasted chicken drum sticks, large mixed leaf salad, small amount of diced red pepper, spring onion, 1 diced cherry tom, FF Mayo
Jelly and cream

Dinner
200g sirloin steak, cauli mash with cheddar, roasted Brussel sprouts or green beans

Snacks
Anything Keto that fits in with macros

Whilst Keto is high fat, I now realise that it's not wise to add lashings and lashings of fat for the sake of it. If calories are too high weightloss can slow down or stop. So the only time I would have a bullet proof coffee or a hot chocolate etc would be if I was missing a meal or if I'd only eaten very little. Of course I need to put all this into practice but as I've said, it's def something I'd like to do in the future. I did try a while back and lost 6lbs in a couple of days but the problem I have with Keto is that I over eat and then think it's not working. Then when I work out the calories I realise I've eaten in excess of 2000 and way too much protein so I need to log everything.


If your stomach has ballooned, you could be retaining water? Just a thought.

Now that I'm not doing Keto, I won't restrict my eating times just yet but this is something I would like to do further down the line. It's how I use to eat naturally many years ago and I always liked eating that way. Wish I never listened to the "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" clan! I bet I'd still be slim if I hadn't!

My waist is starting to get smaller which is nice but it's making the fat under my belly button (pooch) look bigger I know it will come off eventually but that's the area I am the most self conscious about and now I feel like its way more noticible.

Mar, I was listening to the audio version of the Dukan diet this morning... My book is stored away in a box somewhere. Anyway, it's on YouTube. Dukan said that if we eat something we shouldn't, then we should count calories for that day. He doesn't advise it but I never knew this. I guess it stops one from having a complete blow out! I really enjoyed listening to the audio version.

No, you can't stay here if you're not on plan! Only kidding of course!
Eating too much protein on Keto or high fat def causes stalls in lots of people.

I didn't realize he said that. Maybe that's why I haven't gained because I stick to plan the rest of the day so I didn't have many calories before dinner.

I have 4 more meals that are supposed to be off plan this month. Was supposed to be 4 total and then 2 were added last weekend. I am hoping that for at least half of them I can stick to plan. Sometimes family dinners are buffet style so I am hoping they are like that. Ugh this is hard. But I really want a loss this month so if I have to eat before I will. Al how do you do family dinners?

So I don't think I mentioned it in this thread... But I lost 17lbs in the last challenge! I know a large amount of that is water but I'm thrilled with the results. My jeans are lose and I feel lighter and less bloated. Yes I'm still over weight but I'm happy to be making good progress for a change. I've started a new 3 week challenge for anyone interested. I'll still post here but I'll log my losses in the other thread.

I want to update my stats but I can't bring myself to write the correct starting number... What to do? I know it's silly but I feel quite sensitive about it. I'd actually reached my heaviest weight ever before the the challenge. Ok it wasn't too much over what it reads now but it was in the 200's... There I said it! I was around 130 a few years back, how did I close my eyes for so long? I never want to see 2 anything again! Ever! I've been watching My 600lb life and my heart bleeds for these people. I can see how it happens. The heavier you get the harder it seems to be to get motivated. I've had to compartmentalise my weightloss so as not to become overwhelmed.

Don't worry Mar, it will soon be gone! Keep up the good work! I was worried about the possibility of lose skin but I'm trying not to think about it and hoping I won't have any. I had a tiny waist even after two pregancies. I really need to do some sit-ups. there's a 100 sit-ups a day challenge on line somewhere... Maybe I should start that... I think the site was actually called 100 sit ups a day? It's great BC they work out a plan for you to follow so that you build up to doing them in one set if I remeber correctly. There is one for push ups too! 100 push ups a day. I'd be finished!
