3 weeks no cheats round 2!

So after a very successful 3 weeks no cheats challenge, we decided to do it again! Although this is the Stillman section of the forum, all members are welcome to join regardless of their plan or adaptations. Let us know who you are and tell us what you are doing. Weigh in day is Sunday. There is no need to disclose your weight if you don't want to as we only log pounds lost!
So here's to another successful 3 weeks. Let's get the pounds rolling!

If you are in the challenge, copy and paste the names below and add your own in alphabetical order. You can then record pounds lost during this challenge. Weigh ins are on Sunday's but you can update your weightloss as frequently as you wish, just change the amount of pounds lost. I'm hoping to drop 12 pounds over the next 3 weeks so just for a bit of fun, I've added my 3 week goal. Feel free to do the same or not. I'm hoping it will help keep me focussed.

Makemeslim..............Pounds lost so far ??lbs.....................3 week goal 12lbs

I am joining you. What is the difference between Stillman and Dukan. I looked at the first phase of it and it pretty much looks the same.

Hey BrattyS, so glad you joined.
Dukan has more allowed foods in phase 1 than Stillmans. This phase is called the Attack phase. Here you eat pure protein foods. It's basically all lean meats, along with 0% fat yoghurt, milk and cheese. You are also encouraged to use small amounts of onion, pickles and capers etc to flavour foods. Vinegars, mustards and a small amount of lemon is also allowed along with herbs and spices etc. In later additions Dukan also allowed a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes or tomato paste (we call it purée here) to be used daily. You follow this phase for up to ten days depending on how much weight you want to lose then move on to the cruise phase where you alternate between pure protein days as in phase 1 (PP days) and protein vegetable days (PV days). Vegetables are the usual low carb ones with a few additions. For example carrots can be eaten but only once a day. If you don't want to alternate days you can do it differently but apparently alternating is better. There are two other phases after this which take you up to maintenance. Hope that all made sense. I've been listening to the audio book on YouTube. It's worth a listen! Forgot to mention, you also need to have a tablespoon and a half of oat bran a day in phase 1. This increases to 2 from the Cruise phase. The oat bran is considered a must. You can make oat bran gallettes (pancakes) and lots of other interesting things with this stuff. Weight loss is fast. Was watching a video today where a women lost almost 90lbs in 5 months!!!

I will have to look more into this. It sounds like a good thing to do when you need more variety. Oat Bran Galettes actually look yummy. Thank for the info!

Thanks for the Welcome! I am actually doing great! Today is day 3 for me and I have been eating a variety of chicken breast, meatballs, and eggs. My hunger is under control and I'm so happy about that and hope it lasts. Hope everyone is doing well today!

Would love to join! I need a good strict 3 weeks of Stillman's.

Question - do you think plain greek yogurt would be a good replacement for cottage cheese? They look pretty similar in carbs/calories except, more calories.

Question 2 - how to make chicken breast palatable? LOL! I bought an injection kit today. I read about someone in a cooking forum injecting the chicken with hot sauce. I was like, hmm! An idea!

We should start a separate One Million Ways to Eat Chicken thread! Let us know how the injections go!!

My last run with QWL, I ate a lot of baked chicken. I would trim off the visible fat, pound it down thin, and cover both sides with spices, like salt, pepper, chili or chipotle powder, paprika, maybe a little onion and garlic powder. Then I would overcook it by a little, dice it up, separate it into containers, and pour the juice over it. I would make a lot at a time.

This time, Im using the slow cooker a lot. Mainly because its easier than the technique above. lol I throw the defrosted chicken in for 4 hours on high with whatever spices suit my fancy, or the frozen breasts on low for 8 hrs. Once done SHRED it UP! Separate into separate containers. Incorporate the juice back in to help swallow it down later. Its pretty good the first 8 times you eat it.

makeme came up with the awesome idea to cook through the night, to wake to warm fresh yummy chicken and start the day off right!! (warm yummy chicken..im gonna be sick.lololol)

I may try the hot sauce in the slow cooker for my next batch. Usually sauces just get watered down, but once you shred it and add it back to the juice, you keep all the flavor.

So injections or infusions! Anyway you like it as long as we can get it down! lol

Speaking of chicken, I'm going to make some for dinner. Going to throw a whole one in the instantpot with tons of garlic and maybe some rosemary. Yum yum.

my insta pot comes tomorrow! I just finished my crockpot chicken. I'll clean up the crock pot and take it to the resale shop. Depending on when it gets here tomorrow, I'll either have chicken tomorrow or it will have to wait until Monday!

Oh chicken - how I love thee! kinda

I'm so excited for u! So many good recipes and so quick so it's truly an excuse buster.

I'm hoping to use the bones to make bone broth. I've been meaning to do that forever, but I always procrastinate. This is the most I've cooked in ages. I just got a 4lb chicken so I'll be eating that for the next few days. Got some eggs and will prob run and grab ground turkey tomorrow and maybe do some meatballs to add for the week.

Great idea on the chicken post, lol! I was planning on using a slow cooker myself. We have three in my house, so makes it easy for fast meals! I am going to try injecting with chicken broth, then hot sauce and then this hot sauce that is chili garlic flavored. YUM!

I also now have a meat thermometer so I can make sure I don't do too much over or undercooking. Hopefully, this will make it more palatable. I also bought this cottage cheese that is 3 carbs with a little fat. And I have 60 eggs on standby. So, between 20lbs of chicken breast, two things of cottage cheese, some fat free greek yogurt, and 60 eggs - hopefully I'm good for the month.

I remember seeing your posts last year on your losses. Did you have any issues with hair loss only eating chicken? I remember reading one girl in the forums lost like 50lbs in two months and had issues. I know it's all individual, but I'm curious.

You are totally prepared! Awesome. I need to look into an injector. That's a smart idea.

I am joining. I am going away in 3 weeks and need to lose at least 10 lbs. I will weigh tomorrow but I am sooooo scared to see it. I have to face it, hopefully it is not too bad.
