April showers bring weight loss!

April 1st already! It is Spring, so we need to spring into action. Weight loss is our goal, and together we will achieve it!

Thanks for starting the thread.

I dread the weekends. It is so much harder to stay on plan. Today is eggs, turkey lunch meat, and more chicken breast.

Tomorrow we have a function at our church that is a buffet style lunch while we stuff Easter eggs. I will just bring some turkey lunch meat and cheese rolls and avoid the food table.
I hope the rest of you have a great weekend!

Good luck tomorrow Ashley! You can do it! Think sunshine and beach!

I decided that today I would get serious about finishing up the unpacking. So now, rather than the spare room being the only room that is a mess, my whole apartment is a mess. What was I thinking?

Al - I actually thought that on the bright side, I'm moving around more. Problem is, I need to stop now and prepare for tomorrow. And Monday I have a funeral, so this mess is going to be around awhile. ug

It'll get done! You are a professional at setting up house! You've been through it so many times. I have a busy week too. My March was so jammed packed, and April doesnt look like its gonna be any better. I need a vacation. lol

I dont wanna be all wishy washy on the first day of April when Im supposed to be all gung-ho, but Im really not feelin the meat thing. Theres a new challenge starting up on Monday that Im kinda interested in, but it follows closer to Inches Off. I keep goin back and forth with what to do. I dont know...just typing out loud... The scale definitely slows when condiments are added, and I prob add too much. I started using the watery restaurant style salsa (no sugar), instead of ketchup and I just want to drink it out of the jar. lolol I dont want to eat plain chicken and Im just gonna sit here and be a big baby about it.

Where is makeme?

WOE: Low-Carb Something of Another...
Yesterday I came home and passed out after work. Brunch was chicken breast with parm cheese, snack was string cheese and I had a few bites of steak for dinner. Today was chicken after my workout. I dragged my ass their after missing yesterday and it was a killer. I had to check my weight with the front desk, and the guy accidentally told me it after I asked him not to. I'm relieved that it's not as bad as I was expecting, lol. I may be down 20lbs or so since I started in December. I def look better which is exciting. I'm glad I got groceries the other night so I don't have to worry about shopping this weekend only prepping.

Aleriaaaaa do u recall the amount of fennel seeds in your ground turkey sausage? That actually sounds like a great idea.

Mim I know bone broth is good for you, that's why I was dying to try it but I botched it last time I made a whole chicken. I have to plan better and do it again.

Here's to a great month ladies (and gents?!)

Do what is less miserable. Don't get too focused on the scale weight. Sometimes slower and steady is better.

HI ladies

I am sorry I have on and off. I am still doing zero, but one day I will have higher fat and the other day stillmans. I still feel like it is taking me forever to lose 7-8 lbs. I cant figure it out! I do exercise, drink water and literally eat no carbs.

I just want to be back down to my nice weight of 110-112 and it isnt happening. Maybe I really need to go full stillmans for a week or so.. combine that with ADF and maybe i can lose it. lol

The other option is to accept my weight for my height. Gross.

So happy that your plan has worked out for you Kris!! 20 lbs!! What great results!!!

I wish I could be more exact with the fennel seed but I just sprinkled it in all over the top while it was cooking! Maybe half a tablespoon with a pound of turkey. A little goes a long way!

Peace! Man, I am sorry you are not getting what you want! Try (and I know this is tough) to take Kriss' advice to me and dont focus on the scale. Be proud of what you have accomplished and maintained over all this time. You are working out so much, you probably have an extra 7 pounds of muscle and not fat! Go you!!!!!

Im gonna try not to weigh as much, and go by how loose my pants are getting instead.

When I eat chicken breast I have to have a bit of condiment too. Plain chicken breast it a tough thing to swallow. I may need to find the watery salsa, I usually use a tiny bit of ketchup or Red Hot. Glad you made it through another day. You do what works for you!

20 lbs is great. Way better than a plus 20 or exactly the same. What you are doing is working over time.

I made it through the Easter egg stuffing, church massive food buffet. So much food and temptation. I sat there and ate my sad turkey and cheese rolls. Now that it is over I am so glad I did not give in.
The scale is not moving as much as it usually does the first week so the last thing I need is to sabotage myself.

Thanks aleriaaa!

Hi and thNk you so much alerria
I guess I am just trying to decide if reducing fat or reducing protein is going to get me to my goal! On the other hand, maybe acceptance is the key.

My keto friend mentioned I am not eating enough and that could be the case why I am not losing?? I don't know. Lol

Do you know what your calories are? I find that if I follow strict stills I struggle to get 500-600 calories and stall for long periods of time. It is one of the reasons I add more fat into my plan. Sometimes it is hard finding what works for you.
I have been losing and gaining the same 20 lbs for about 9 years... I still have not figured it out.

Week one stats updated. 7.2lbs is not bad, I will take it. However the scale has not moved in 3 days. That is a bit annoying.
I am ready and actually excited to get another week done.

I've been toying with the idea of getting on the scale. Def not daily, but just as incentive to not have little cheats. I workout hard, so I def make myself allowances sometimes lol. Brunch will be chicken for me for the better part of the week. When I'm at work it's the easiest option and I brought more breasts yesterday to being doe lunches lol. I'm debating turkey burger or chicken sausage and eggs for dinner. I have exactly 4 weeks and 3 days for the wedding and I'm hoping to drop 10lbs. Hopefully that's enough to get my boobs in the dress, lol. I'm so close.

I hope you guys are having an excellent Monday! Here's to another strong month.

Bratty- glad you did not cave. My plan was kind of JUDD for the last week, I was eating around 1500 on eat days, but then less than 500 on fast days. I workout sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I am burning about 2000 on my fitbit. So.. not sure what is up. I think it is not enough of the right foods... but I am zero carb, only meats, fish, eggs. I love bacon.

So, it sounds so stupid and people on this thread have heard me a million times, I am SORRY! I cant seem to do the high fat thing. I have ZERO desire to track macros, it is exhausting, which is why I love stills. I can just eat lean meat and know I will be ok; howeevr, i have read a ton of information that too much protein without fat turns to glucose, and I think that is how I gained in the first place. I was eating wayyy too much protein. No veggies for me, they hurt my tummy.

Looks like I am back to EOD with lean protein on some days and then normal meats on others. I also strongly believe my body cannot tolerate butter. Seriously, everytime I try to make it into my life, i feel sick and bloated and GAIN. I found this awesome bacon with 16 g of protein for the whole package and 20 g of fat and 240 cal. I can do that only on my fast days and still be happy. On my eat days, I can eat that and some other goodies.

Kris- thanks for saying that about working out. It reminded me that life is definitely too short to be never satisfied with a meal. I actually do not like to eat but I know we have to.

Thanks ladies for supporting me. I believe stillmans is kind of like zero I can just rotate one day lean, one day normal. BOOM!

Peace-I take all that info with grain of salt. You have to try and see what works best for you. A lot of it is trial and error, but you'll figure out what's realistic and sustainable for you. I actually love fat, but I've found Stillman/Dukan is better for me bc it zaps my appetite and I'm not prone to overeating.

My scale refuses to move but I can't convince myself to not get on it. Viscous cycle!

I did not want to eat my eggs this morning and I loath the idea of eating meat today.

So how is everyone else Tuesday going so far?

I will try to push through and hope tomorrow is better. Getting frustrated and quitting is something I have done a million times... it doesn't get me anywhere.

Feeling like a broken record. Chicken, string cheese, chicken sausage and eggs for dinner. I finally made my own lunch for tomorrow, yay for saving $$$. I'm hoping to switch it up a little and have turkey burger for dinner. Funny enough, I went to step on the scale for the first time in a year and the batteries were dead. I took it as a sign. I'll get batteries eventually, but after gym I've been too wiped to even go to my fave Target.

Made it another day..barely! I pouted all day but I stayed on plan.
The scale rewarded me with a .6 loss. Nothing wonderful but at least it moved.

Monotony and business is the easiest way to stay on plan. You are doing great! The scale is a curse, I need for my batteries to die.

I have a love/hate relationship with my scale. When it moves in the right direction, I'm happy. When not - I'm very unhappy. When I try to give up weighing, I gain a lot.

I have been so busy lately! I had a craft show this weekend and spendt all week getting ready and then it was super busy at the show and Then I was back to my gilt one job Monday. All this to say I can't believe it's already the 5th!

I have been eating healthy but not eating stills, I have been eating clean and low carb. I started going to the gym in the morning this week and 3 days in it's great but i am starving when I leave the gym. I went grocery shopping last night so now I have better options. I am probably still going to post here cuz I like you guys but I don't know if I am going to keep doing Dukan like planned. I tend to be all over the place so I could be back on Dukan next week and stills the week after so we will see but for now this is workikg for me and I won't talk about the carby things I do have if I have any.

I am the same way mim. Right now I am avoiding the scale. I am scared if I am not down any weight or up I will start eating bad and quit the gym and I just started!
