Hello and Happy May Day!

I am new and hope you don't mind me joining in. Tomorrow - May 2 - marks 2 weeks to my birthday and 3 weeks before I head on a trip to Texas. I am keeping it 100% strict Stills from now to then (and then resuming on my return from Texas).

Overall I'd like to lose about 30 lbs but will be thrilled with 10 before my trip. I have the book so I read that when I want to be inspired --- and here, too, of course!

Started the day with black coffee and water. Have chicken on the menu for lunch AND dinner.

Hi

Hi, I'm new to Stillmans but look forward to putting in the work and seeing results. The past posts have been so helpful in getting me started. This morning was a little rough with the lack of milk in my coffee and the strawberry I almost mindlessly ate as I prepped the kids lunches.

I have some lean ground turkey cooked and portioned for quick meals and chicken breast ready to cook for dinner. I also prepped a bunch of meals for my family so I don't need to be in the kitchen prepping and drooling this week, just reheat and serve.

Hopefully the weather holds so I can go on a long walk with the dog during lunch!

I can't believe it's already May! My trip is now less than 3 weeks away!

I am down 6 lbs this week but my actual weigh in is Wednesday, I just have to lose 1.5 lbs to get back into the 170s! I really hope I can make it to 160s by my trip but if I can't I just want to be close.

Welcome!

Stills is great to get on plan as long as you stick with it (which is my biggest problem)

Gwawew: I accidentally eat food from time to time without thinking. Just yesterday my mom offered me a sip of her milkshake and I had it and it wasn't until the seeetness hit me that I was like oh wait no! I can't have that! Lol

Buffy: I have about 3 week before my trip and then plan to get back on after too. We can do this!

My chicken breast today are huge! I swear they are almost as big as a turkey breast. I could only eat half for lunch. I am getting tired of baked chicken but the wether of finally getting nice so I think I am going to BBQ it tonight I BBQ other meats but almost never for chicken.

What are all the ways you cook chicken?

For me:
Bake
Crock pot
Poach

That would be ideal. I guess I am trying to keep my expectations low so I'm not disappointed!

I had a planned off plan meal - lunch with a friend who stopped to see me on the way through town. I am immediately back on plan.

Welcome new folks!

I have been rocking this week! Still hungry lots of the time but sticking with it

I am going to pick up my wedding dress tonight, I am a little disappointed it's in so early because I wanted to keep all this fun going but oh well! Hopefully it looks just as good in my size as the sample did.

Hey guys!

Just wanted to let you know I'm alive. I actually kind of started my own version of Stillman's recently - just as a way to be able to stick with a low fat/high protein way of eating - and I think I found a way to make it work for me since I have 100+ pounds to lose.

I eat every 3 hours and no more than 50 grams of protein per meal (after some research) My day is starting to look more like this:

Meal 1 (4am): 4 servings egg whites + 1 egg, 1 serving cottage cheese **plus BCAAs + Nitro + supplements when I work out**
Meal 2 (7am): whey protein shake **after work out**
Meal 2 (10am): plain greek yogurt (or high protein pudding)
Meal 3 (1pm): chicken, 2 hard boiled eggs
Meal 4 (4pm): chicken
Meal 5 (7pm): casein protein + unsweetened vanilla almond milk

My days are well under 20 carbs a day, less than 25 grams of fat a day and up to 190-200 grams of protein. I'm ALWAYS full! Calories are still somewhat low, a little under 1200 calories. So I'll play with that at some point especially with all the cardio + Crossfit I'll be doing.

I'm still in the beginning phases of eating this way and the work outs, so I will adjust as I go along. But a lot of my vitamins are either from a vitamin pack, or those I read on bodybuilding websites that are used when trying to lose fat fast and retain muscle. If anything, I'd like to add another 2 grams of a DHA/EHA since I only take 1 gram a day from my vitamin pack. I'm also taking a fat burner too.

I also started Crossfit yesterday and will be going to the gym more. No back issues so far, so I'm confident I can lose this weight for GOOD! I'd like to challenge myself to 100lbs in 100 days starting tomorrow, which is a little over 14 weeks away. (It's a mental thing for me - so even if I don't even get close to it, the idea that I'm trying will keep me on track.) Will see how things go! Glad to see everyone is doing AMAZING.

On a side note, I lost 9.9lbs last month and I wasn't 100% on plan or working out yet.

Day 2

I am able to work from home most days and it's a relief not to spend the extra hour each way in the car 4 days per week. Today I realized my eating habits have become more out of control than I thought, especially when I'm working from home. When I go into the office I always pack a lot of healthy choices. If I run out of food, I have to do the walk of shame thru the building to the vending machines and I try to avoid that at all costs.

At home I spend much of my day on conference calls. My job is pretty high stress and one of my stress relievers has been to walk into the kitchen and shove something in my mouth. A few wheat thins & hummus / a couple of pieces of chocolate / a few bites of that leftover pizza...wash it down with a sip or two of whatever juice is in there....the calories add up. Today was day 2 that I had to confront my little munchy demon. I wasn't hungry but there were numerous times I wanted to shove something crunchy in my mouth to distract myself. I redirected the urge for different flavors into beverages: lots of different flavored seltzers and teas today.

The kids had Dino nuggets for dinner and I have to confess...I felt myself drooling over those stupid little Dino nugget delights. I avoided them and finally conquered the bedtime war with the kids. Took a shower, made a cup of tea and snuggled into bed....only to hear the doorbell. Husband decided to order pizza for himself. All of the cooking I did on Sunday for his special request meals... it's ok. I'm staying upstairs and trying to ignore the smell sneaking up the stairs.

This turned into a complaint fest, sorry about that. Today was a good day as far as staying on plan. Looking forward to another day tomorrow.

It is always hard, gwawew, to stay the course when others in the house are not on the plan. And then there is pizza! Well done for staying away from it!

gwawew Not eating pizza... I couldnt do it! I understand about the dinosaur chicken. They really smell and look like the yummiest things when you are on plan. My son loves them. My daily torture is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I make for their lunch.

IWasMadeThisWay I hope the plan works for you. It looks like you have given it a lot of thought.

Mim Yes, enough said. I would have had some too. They are so yummy.

As for me I am on high fat stillman. If that can even be called stillman, I guess it is just a keto diet at this point. I have a couple pounds to get to where I was but I am doing great and my hormones have left me alone for now. Hoping to pull off 2-3 weeks on plan this time. Tomorrow is my last bible study so I will have no more weekly restaurants to try and behave at.

I am so hungry!!!!!!!

I have gone to the gym the last 2 days and yesterday I was fine but today I was ravenous all day! I even had higher fat meat. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back to normal.

On the plus side: I was at 180 today so I am so close to getting in the 170s and I can get good and comfortable in the 170s before Vegas so I don't end up back in the 180s

It needs to be taken in a little at the waist! I don't have to do alterations until September so that kind of my goal for getting down another size. If I have to get alterations anyways I may as well make it worth my money haha

Congrats Mar!

I had lunch with my mom (mil) and my meal was not perfect. No bread stuff but I did have some lobster bisque. It shouldn't do too much damage.

Had dinner off plan yesterday but got right back on today. My weight loss for the week was only 2.4 lbs but pretty good considering how wishy washy I have been .

Up a pound today. Ate too much on plan stuff I guess. I just want to eat all the time...

Hugs Mim. It is so frustrating when you want to stay on plan and just can't pull it off mentally.
