Jess, so sorry about TOM and I get the hungry horrors during TOM too. I predict you will get a nice whoosh of weight loss when TOM leaves
Mick, thank you for the cookie dough recipe! That is awesome. I really need something like this. I got some Halo Top ice cream for Tony but I don't really care for it so I need a little something to nibble to keep cravings at bay.

Some of my new Lilly Pulitzer clothes came in last night and I'm wearing a top and palazzo pants to work today -- all size Medium! This is one of those things that make the weight loss struggle worth it -- when you can wear clothes that you were previously too afraid to wear before. My outfit is very colorful -- the pants have a gorgeous navy, turquoise and pink print that is tamed by a solid color navy top. When I was heavier, I wore all black to work thinking that a monochromatic look would make me look slimmer -- LOL.

People don't understand how hard it is to dress when you are carrying a few extra pounds. Hope everyone has a great day.

Gail - Yay for size mediums!!! I feel you on dressing with extra weight. Just be glad you aren't holding 50+ extra pounds.

Jess - WTG on losing inches!!! Thanks for the comic relief! I needed that!!! I wish I could say that I was close to goal with the snail analogy... my body is just dumb! It makes me feel so guilty when people (mainly my mother) don't believe that I'm eating so little and not losing buckets of weight. I get so tired of having to defend myself to her.

Sorry for the rant! Good for you having the willpower to avoid the scale! I guess the grass is always greener. Although I've lost some boobage. I'm still an "F cup". I wish I could give you some of mine because I've been lugging these things around since I was 14 and a DD at 145 lbs...

Mick - 13 lbs will be easy for you!!! You'll have that off with time to spare for the holidays. I did a similar recipe recently trying to clean out my kerrygold supply before my trip. I couldn't find the dark chocolate 86% but used 100% non dark and just had to put a smidge of Stevia. I may have lost my taste for sweets... I still want to try the sugar free chocolate chips, but that artificial sweetener just scares me. and my bowels. I'm going to try the icing next so I can get rid of the last of the 100% choc. IT is just butter and cream with the choc.

Oh, I misspoke about the OLD WW calorie banking. I should have said point banking. But, back in those days they only counted fat, fiber and calories so it was pretty much the same thing. You were allowed a certain amount of points each week and if you didn't use them during the week, you could use them for the weekend or whenever for special occasions. In theory, you should be able to lose 2 lbs a week if your deficit is 7000 calories a week, but you know how I feel about science these days.

Have a great rest-of-the week everyone!!!

Howdy all! I sure had an absolutely lovely day! Saw two dear friends today.

Gail~ I hope you like the cookie dough. I didnt care for the Halo much either. Im so happy you felt so good in the new clothes! Im sure you looked amazing!!! Woo hoo on the mediums!!

Findingme~ I dont know if it will be easy I seem to be at a crawl the last 2 months. The products with manitol scare me. Well I fear having an accident as they are awful on the guts. There are a few brands without but for me I have to order. Its probably easier to make your own. That is fab you seem to have lost your taste for sweets! Im envious!!! All my fingers are crossed for you on your deficit!!!! You deserve a woosh!

I wonder where everyone is hiding!!!

Isn't that an awesome feeling?

I'm feeling leaner. But I refuse to give the scale the time of day until Friday morning.

FindingMe- I completely relate. I mean, REALLY! As hard as we work we should be beanpoles by now. I did WW many years ago. I'd lose 25lb then get pregnant. Tried it after the 2nd kid. Got pregnant at 25lb loss. I quit going after that. But still had 2 more kids. Guess I can't blame WW. Of course I could almost never bank points. The higher carbs just made me too hungry. But I've used the calorie banking before with some success. Unfortunately now, at my current weight, the difference between deficit and maintenance is small so I'd have to go down to 1300cal for some days to do that...as much as I work out...I think there would be blood, just sayin'. My kids and hubby would beg me to eat. I used to try to do JUDDD...whew boy!

Mick- I'm so glad you had such a great day. It's nice to get to visit with friends.

Mick, glad you had an awesome day! So many people love you.
FindingMe, I totally relate as well. Losing weight is so hard and it takes SO LONG to get the darn weight off
Jess, so glad you are feeling leaner! That is a GOOD sign. I predict a big whoosh of weight loss coming your way.

Okay ladies, I decided to be super brave and wear this VERY colorful Lilly Pulitzer dress to work. I was terrified because I still see myself as plus sized. And as a plus sized person, I almost always wore all black, trying to get that one long lean line.

So this dress has a super bright loud summertime print -- hot pink, turquoise, seaglass green and white. When I put it on, I was afraid that I looked like a bedspread from a Holiday Inn in Sarasota, Florida, you know? But Tony convinced me that it looked good. And thus far, I received some nice compliments from people at work.

I know I sound like a huge goober with these clothes stories but it means so much to me to be able to wear fun clothes again. I didn't realize how much I missed it. And it really does make all of our hard work, low carbing and JUDDing worth it.

Ladies I did something odd today and I dont know where it came from. Its hot and humid today so I walked on the treadmill. I ran. It wasnt planned it just evolved. It must be my love of Volbeat LOL . I had a playlist going from Amazon The last time I ran there was a bear coming out of a tree in the woods! LOL. I was a bit shocked I could do it. It actually felt pretty good.

Gail~ That is so nice of you to say. Good for you and you do not sound like a goober at all! Im sure you look smashing!!! I have 2 friends Ive sent pics of many outfits because I think they are too tight and they tell me they are great. I cant ask dh. He says everything is great. I think its normal for many of us. I am scared to death of looking like a sausage!

Jess~ A BIG YAHOO on feeling leaner!!! We should all be beanpoles Your right! What type of exercise do you do?

Findingme~ Did that contraption cooperate or should I send a hammer?

Dimply~ Im wondering where you are.

Nancy and Jenn too!

We shall call today and yesterday mini spike days. I know I dont count like I probably should and wont try it again because then it is a diet for me. I sure had a lot of tomato and cucumbers the last 2 days. When I say a lot I mean Ive ate so many tomatoes I should turn red. They are coming out of the garden and they are a bite of pure heaven!!! I go hog wild on them fresh every year. Fresh tomato from the garden and not the yucky ones from the store are my third favorite food.

I also fried my half an avocado this morning in the grease from my 2 strips of bacon. It got crispy and delicious!!! Ill have to do that again.

I should be a crabby bear today getting 3 hours of sleep but nope. Im sure it will hit tonight!

The scale was down for the token weigh in for the contest but I wont change it here until I do the final weigh in. I think that is tomorrow.

Eats

2 eggs, 2 bacon, half a friend avocado

few pieces of celery

tons of tomatoes and a monster cucumber ( man I love dh's garden!)

dinner will be a nice big steak ~ MMM fav number 1!

If I get the munchies for a pre bed snack probably a slice of cheese

Hi all.[QUOTE]
It really is slow on taking weight off. And the older you are it really is slow.
I was saying the other day to u all that I was getting on plan. But I have not made it yet. I thought if I joined here to post it would help. So Going to restart Aug.17 and get busy. I did so well for over 4 years. and just seems this year the hardest.
But I sure would hate it,if I gained to much more. I like to lose 10lbs more and then just keep going.
Weigh in tomorrow.{But I hate too.
Aug.1st{was>123
I was able to get into skinny jeans>size 6 misses.
and the other pair was 8 p. skinny jeans.
I like to detox and I walk and Jogg also. and few weight machines.
Ageing very well also.
I love salads[/ veggies. fruits. healthy foods ,soups,smoothies.Beans,ect.
I like to do more of a plant base. But I will see.
so might try . Just have to get back on track to get scale back down.
,I watch cals.{When I'm on plan. The bad thing i do is drink to much diet pop.

Just need to detox and get this moving down. I sure will not make goal if I keep sliping.
What is wrong with me.{Oh I know To many bad foods and calaries.

Good morning ladies!!!

Today is not the weigh in for the contest tomorrow is. I dont know why that confuses me

We had a wet basement this morning We did have a ripper of a storm. Im guessing we must have a plugged gutter. I have fans blowing on my huge area rug. I cant lift the furniture off it. It isnt real bad so it should work.

My plan was to work outside all day but the weather is telling me no! Thats ok. I have a heck of a headache. Ill be happy not to do it!

Kind~ You must be a tiny person. Your right though it is better to catch it when it is a smaller amount than end up with a lot to lose. I dont really know anything about detox. Whats that about? One suggestion to you. On plan or off come post. That has helped me so much since Jamuary!

I'm here! Still plugging along, and the scale finally went down & stayed down a bit. But now it's back up again Frustrating to have only lost 1.5 lbs in almost 3 weeks, especially at my size, and knowing that I would be gaining much faster if I dared to eat something off plan. I was looking for a pair of pants to be my next goal, and all I can find is a pair of size 14s from Old Navy that I bought in the early 2000s. So I'm thinking that I either gave some interim sized pants away, or my body likes this size, and that when I finally whoosh, I really whoosh. Hoping it's the latter!

Mick - Sorry about the flooded basement; hope things are drying out. We have a plumber coming tomorrow to look at a wet spot on the kitchen ceiling. We can't figure out what is causing it, because there is no rhyme or reason to it drying out/getting wetter based on what plumbing is being used at any given time, & DH did not see anything in the attic. I just hope it's not anything too serious or expensive; always a worry when dealing with 65 year old pipes

Gail - Not at all gooberish! These NSV are what keep us going when the scale is being stupid, and like you said, makes it all worth it.

jess - for feeling leaner, and lol at a snail passing you by. I feel the same way, and unfortunately I still have lots more to lose.

FindingMe - I feel your pain. Not sure I can eat any less, and no way I should be gaining eating less than 1,000 calories most days, but yet I am.

kind - You're at my goal. Can't wait for my size 6 jeans to fit again!

Jenn - Belated to your son!

yesterday:
B - coffee w/cream & DaVincis
D - chicken breast sauteed in butter; salad w/lettuce, tomatoes, blue cheese dressing

Congrats JESS!!!

DIMPLY glad to see you What a cute pic of little Hazel! So sweet! I think your body is just reassesing. You have had a big loss this year. I think you'll really woosh when your body relaxes a bit and decides it is ok to let go. I hope you find the source of the leak and it is an easy fix.

Hi guys! I'm fully back on plan. Still maintained within range, so will spend the next week easing in and taking off lbs to get back down to my lowest. All camping and summer parties are done. Had a blast all summer and still maintained within 5-6 lbs which I'm at the top end of now but I'm pleased with that. Have the headache today and feeling sluggy. Couple more low energy days getting sugar and carbies out of my system and I'll be good to go.

Next Friday we are heading for casino but I have a plan in place. We have to go, it's been planned for 2 months because it's a special drawing for just jackpot winners and they draw 10 names, 9 will win between 500 and 4000 and one winner will win no less than 4500 up to 100,000. So there's no way I'm missing that.

I missed you guys! Looks like you guys are doing so awesome!

I'm totally ready to buckle down all winter! I was trying to figure out the list, looks like I forgot how we were doing that. Is it just that the top line is pushed to the left and not over the right columns? I will look again.

Kind of feel relieved to be back!

Congrats Jess and Dimply on your losses! Cute pic!

Mick - I hope your weigh in goes well! Thanks for the offer of a hammer. I would need a sledge or jack hammer to do any damage. I'm scared to buy a new one because it might actually weigh me more.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Of course I had to go poof up 1.2 from all the salt from the pepperoni on the fathead pizza last night. Someone had a lot of pepperoni and bacon with breakfast! So I will not be changing my number here I guess. Up down up down!

Findingme~ since your scale is being a butt head I do hope you are checking inches. For me I can seem to lose on or another at a time but not both. Just look at your progress for the year! Your doing great!!!

Dh came home sick yesterday. Poor guy definately has the flu I hope he is feeling a bit better when he wakes up. Im dying for coffee but wont have it until after my picture weigh in for the contest. I of course wont wake the poor guy up.

No change for me this morning, so that's okay. I did have a taco salad, (no shell or nachos) at a restaurant last night, so maybe next week's number will look better.

Off to work--have a good week all!

Was relatively easy yesterday, did higher fat but overdid the salt and now I'm all puffy in the hands. Still it feels good clearing the crap out of my system again. Pick up some avocados today to snack on and have a BLT salad for dinner again. Hopefully weight will start dropping soon.

Have a great weekend everyone. I'll be checking in....

Michelle! Great to see you! You did well maintaining all summer - I would have
gained at least 20 lbs.

I keep telling myself that my body is adjusting to my loss. 60 lbs is a lot of weight, but I just keep thinking that it is only half of what I need to lose, and the loss has been steady but slow, so my body needs to get on with it

The leak is from the HVAC system which DH sort of thought was the case. But he called the plumber first because 65 year old pipes, and our HVAC guy, who is great, retired and sold his company at the beginning of the year, and since we hadn't dealt with the new company yet, decided to have the pipes checked first. The plumber gave me the name of the company that he recommends for duct work & I will set up an appointment for an estimate with both companies. I'm going to let DH handle this because I have no doubt that he will have them replace the trunk, whereas I would only have them repair it because I am cheap

Of course the scale has to be stupid when it counts

Hope your DH feels better, and you do not get sick. Seems early for the flu, but I have heard of other cases lately. I don't even think the doctors around here have the flu shot yet

Mick - I hope your weigh in goes well! Thanks for the offer of a hammer. I would need a sledge or jack hammer to do any damage. I'm scared to buy a new one because it might actually weigh me more.

Have a great weekend everyone!
I would like a new scale that weighs in oz increments, but I am afraid of a higher weight too! The scale I have now is at least 15 years old & only weighs in .5/lb or whole pounds.

Sounds like you made a good choice! I think you should have lost just for passing up the taco shell & chips; too bad it doesn't work that way

yesterday:
B - coffee w/cream & DaVincis
D - bunless burger w/mustard; caesar salad

Ugh! The no sugar headache has struck hard. I know I just have to white knuckle it but energy is in the basement too. Baked a turkey breast for dinner but I don't know what I'm going to do with it. I may just snack on it cause boy do I feel like crapola. Hopefully this yuckiness doesn't last more than one more day. I want to finish cleaning the barn out tomorrow, getting ready to put all our summer stuff away but I do not have a positive attitude about it lol.

Hope I see a nice drop tomorrow! Dimply you have done so awesome! Congrats!

I woke hungry, starving. I didn't eat enough yesterday just due to feeling so yucky. Headache is gone. I'm tracking everything. Shrimp for dinner. Slow in here this weekend. Already got 1 of my summer lbs off. Really want to get back to my lowest in a hurry so I'm pushing pretty darn hard. I dug out a sf butterscotch hard candy last night. Only found the one and I'm sure that's a good thing, as we all know what sf candy can do. But it really did help. I wanted to dig into the nuts but those are a slippery slope and all the salt right before bed really affects me.

Dimply~ Hazel is looking so cute! I can tell she's hit the giggle stage.

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend.

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is having a fun weekend. Very low-key here - too hot to do much of anything!

She is a happy baby! My sis-in-law texted a picture of her being fussy yesterday, & said that my brother was moving too slow in getting her bottle ready. She's like her Aunt Dimply - fussy when having to wait to eat I'll see her again the weekend after Labor Day
Good for you for staying out of the nuts! They are a slippery slope for me too.

kind - You are the same height as my step-MIL. I'm 5'2", and in my DH's family I am tall, but in my family I am the same height as the 12 year olds. Is your Y closed for the summer?

yesterday:
B - coffee w/cream & DaVincis
D - 2 egg clouds w/ham & cheese

Wow is my energy ever back! Yay! Great day yesterday food wise. More water weight off, inching closer to my low where I left off. Can't tell you how happy I am about that. So I decided to tear everything out of the bathroom ( the worlds ugliest bathroom) and give it a paint job. Nothing I can do about the rest of it until we tear it all out and move the bathroom but a paint job will go a long ways. It's the worst red color in there, does not belong in a craftsman house and it's all streaky old faded. Believe me I could paint it puke yellow and it would be better. Going to use some paint I dug out from the last flip house for a base coat, might take 2 base coats to cover that red, good grief, then I will pick a sage color for final coat. God help me, my helper is 2.5 years old!

Hope all is well with everyone! I will check in when I'm dying in bed tonight!

Kind of a sad day for the youngest yesterday. He and his long term GF parted way so we moved him back home. Poor kid is pretty sad. Dh is feeling just pretty good again and yeah I didnt catch it! All the outside lighting was taken off today so I could repaint it. Just waiting for it to dry. I scrubbed up the door good too. Dh thinks Im bonkers. I want the shutters taken off also so I can change the color.

I went a bit off the rails yesterday in MN when we took the kiddo out. Granted its limited with the no wheat thing but I did not do too well. Its done and over so back to it. Im getting really sick of not seeing much but up down, up down, up down. I'm not willing to get really extreme on the diet end because I wont do anything I cant keep up. I do think I am going to shake up the exercise and see how that goes.

I'll still weigh weekly for the token weigh in but may have dh look at the scale and input the number for me so I quit thinking about numbers. Yesterday was kind of Im not losing anyways so I might as well eat this frosting! Thats plain stupid but it is what it is.

Today I had a brat with veggies. Im making the guys ham and scallop potatoes. I hate both so it will be somthing with burger for me later.

Michelle Im glad your feeling so good!! Paint must be on the brain. I picked up paint for the family room and bedroom downstairs. I bet your bathroom will look fabulous!! Yeah on losing some water!

Dimply Im a dork. I assumed all scales did ounces. I hope the estimates are not too bad for the repairs/ relacement. 60 pounds is just absolutely amazing!!

Kind your an inch taller than my best buddy. Great job on the 4 miles!!! You sure are active!

Nancy hope you are having a good weekend!

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! I thought if I sent this from my phone I wouldn't get off on a rant.

Dimply - My scale only measures in pounds and 2/10ths. I wish it was more precise down to ounces so I could be agonizing over 1/16ths, too.

Mick - I feel you! I came so close Fri to going off the rails. I've been telling my scale the same thing for two weeks. If you don't go down, all bets are off. It continues to mock me. Ive racked up another 8+lbs in calorie deficits this month yet I've only lost 3 (and only 6/10ths in the last 2 weeks). I guess our bodies are just happy at this weight no matter how strict we are?

I dunno but I do know this. Friday is my planned monthly freebie frap day and I'm not missing it. If I stay in my calorie budget I'll only be 5 weeks away from meeting my 118 day challenge. I won't be near my goal weight but I'll know I did my best to get there. And I haven't had any alcohol either so liver bonus.

Have a great week!

Got it all clean and got the base coat on. Pick out final color tomorrow. Final coat will go a lot faster since I don't have to clean first. Did you get started too?

Kept so busy I've only choked down about 6 oz of chicken, gotta go scrounge around I do not want more chicken I don't even like it. Making some meatballs to snack on tomorrow.

Hips are feeling the work I did today, but I suppose that's all good. Have a great evening everyone!

A stuck point? Were you at that weight for a long time before? I do think there is something to set points. I'm going to hit a nightmare of one right around 190. Was there for years.

Michelle, it is so nice to see you back. Hope you are well.
Mick, so sorry about your son. Breakups are hard. At least he has you and DH to lean on for emotional support. You are a good mom.
Dimply, you are losing weight like crazy! Good for you! Love seeing photos of Hazel.
FindingMe, you are on a great trajectory. I predict a whoosh for you every soon.

We had a nice weekend here. The weather was crummy on Saturday morning but then it turned and stayed lovely -- sunny, breezy, warm but not too hot. We grilled steak tips and I loved the marinade we used (bourbon, Splenda brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic) on Sunday. I was so tempted to get some corn-on-the-cob and red potatoes to roast along with the steak but I resisted. Had asparagus and salad instead. So ladies I hear you about wanting to have a great. And my weight loss is slow too. Still, I can't help but think that we need to stay on the right path and the scales will reward us...eventually.

I have seen a new decade for the past couple of days so decided to claim it. I also lost 2" Happy to be below 190; like Michelle my body likes the 190s, which would be OK if I played for the NFL. Speaking of - NSV: I have a ton of Saints shirts & jerseys, and for the last few years only one has fit me and it was very um, form fitting. I put it on for game day yesterday & it was huge. I had DH measure the extra fabric that I pulled to the side & it was 7". All of my game day shirts, save one, fit now. And that one is a size M girlie cut that will not fit for at least 40 more lbs.

Mick - So sorry about your DS' break-up I'm glad you and DH are there for him.
I think you are wise to not want to do anything extreme on the diet end. Unfortunately I have 2 settings: OMAD or eating all the food that I can shovel into my mouth. Once I lose about 27 more lbs and am no longer obese, I am going to work on striking more of a balance. Even if my weight loss suffers in the short run, it will help me in the long run.

Michelle - I love a soft sage green. That is the color of our sofas (Ethan Allen calls the color celery, but it is sage ) Glad you still have your assistant Violet to help (or is it "help")!

FindingMe - I'm thinking a scale that measures oz may not be for me - I would definitely obsess over each & every ounce. Ugh!
Isn't it funny that you're not counting the days till your freebie frap? Our tastes change so much! I was absolutely planning to have cake at the wedding we are attending 9/30; my mouth watered at the thought of it! But honestly, if the wedding were right now, I would not want it. Go figure

Gail - Good for you for passing up corn on the cob & potatoes in favor of asparagus & salad! A definite NSV!

yesterday:
B - coffee w/cream & Toranis
D - grilled ribeye & hotdog; salad w/lettuce, bacon, cheese, green goddess dressing
