I feel good!

thank the Gods! at 7:30pm yesterday, as soon as JEOPARDY was over, I HAD planned to order my dinner. I was just too hot and weak. Mercifully, I fell asleep shortly thereafter. I woke up about 5:00 am. I am drinking a mixture of iced coffee and A & W diet root beer. very refreshing. AND, I am hungry. so, as soon as Let's Make a Deal is over, I will order my main meal of the day. I will also exercise my pre-paid card and order the stuff I was gonna order. after the food and the business, I am going into the living room, putting on my new fan, at a higher speed, if necessary, and enjoy my music.
tomorrow, it will be no higher than the upper 70s. Enjoy summer day #23, y'all! Love & Profits: FLAFERENGHI

Today's weather, heavy rain expected, again. I'm over it! FF, I don't see how you do it without an air conditioner!

A broken record again on food today, sausage for breakfast, ham and cheese for lunch, but dinner is unknown at the moment. Probably a take-n-bake pizza for the family, I'll find something at home.

Not much else going on, archery practice, they're getting excited for next week. I am too even though I'm not going, 4 days of no cooking or cleaning for the herd! The mutt had better behave I ought to call and schedule a bath for him, he's overdue.

Have a good day!

It's already cooling down here in nh ff. I had my two brothers and wives for coffee this morning and it was so humid. By the time they left at noon a cool breeze was blowing.

I am taking dh to Dartmouth at 6am for surgery. He has a small cancerous tumor below his eye. We go back the 28th and they will do some kind of reconstruction surgery on area. He will be kept overnight for that one.

No time tomorrow for weigh in so weighed today. Down a pound!

Oh Abi, i pray all goes well for dh.

I did it again. I fell asleep in the late afternoon/early evening. when I awoke, it was past JEOPARDY time...drat! BUT, I was not hungry enough to deal with dinner. this afternoon, I will be making a pilgrimage to 5 GUYS BURGERS, and bringing HEINZ REDUCED CARB KETCHUP along for the ride. on my agenda is 2 bunless bacon cheese burgers, and washing it down with 2 ice cold bottled waters. I will be going to Shoprite next, and stocking up on diet chocolate, diet root beer, and diet black cherry sodas, and other low carb beveridges (reading labels of course). I do not want so much as 1 gram carb per portion size. they add up so quickly. I will also be getting at least 1 lb (maybe more) Hebrew National salami-1 gram carb per 4 oz by weight. I am also getting 2 large Land O' Lakes sugar free aerosol whipped creams. And, yes...sometimes I DO open my mouth and spray some whipped cream into it...but NOT while Her Majesty the Queen is watching. enjoy summer day #24, y'all! Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I've never had 5 Guys. Ok, I should rephrase that but I've heard nothing but deliciousness about it.

Dopey me came in early, but really didn't need to after redoing the math. I thought I needed an extra half hour. Oh well, just means I'm outta here at 3:30! Is it bad when the accountant can't do math?

I hope my new cell comes in today, I'm over this one.

The only plans for the weekend are getting the guys ready for Florida. The kids need new clothes and shoes, el cheapo from Wal-Mart and/or Meijer will do for now.

Later!

once again, FF has changed his plans again!!

I will NOT be stepping out today. I just finished ordering stuff on NETRITION(the Zevia, and the WF bbq sauce). I also ordered the Copperchef XL. be careful...these people think they are slick, trying to hit you with add'l merchandise. the do not know with whom they are dealing. we FERENGHI take great pride in our enhanced and evolved business practices. we take umbrage and great effrontery when we are accused of deceptive dealings. I should receive the Netrition stuff by Monday, and the Copperchef xl stuff in 7 to 10 days. these last 2 transactions left me exhausted. I also made the decision to allow the incidental consumption of carrots(if any) in my daily fare. Please consult my thread in the main lobby entitled: "i confess. I LOVE carrots". I am now ordering lunch...consisting of 1 pint container of noodle-less chicken soup-yes, I WILL eat the carrots in it. I am also ordering 3 cheddar burgers with a sunny side up egg atop each. no bacon today. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

hi guys, i miss y'all...i thought i missed two days, but actually haven't posted since saturday...i have been reading and keeping up with your posts though...

abi, is the tumor a skin cancer thing?...sorry he has to go through that...poor guy can't catch a break these past few years and we won't even talk about your year!...he's in a great place and i'm sure he'll be fit as a fiddle soon...do keep us posted..

chris, i wanna hear all about the five guys you've had...haha...there is no surprise that you and vicki managed to p-ss off various businesses...haha...i would have gotten a kick out of your sarcasm, but some folks just don't have a sense of humor...i don't think i've ever come close to getting booted out of anywhere, so you'll have to train me on that move!

vicki, vicki, vicki...i can vouch for your "word", so the other guy loses...you are open and honest and say what is on your mind...hope you get it resolved...if you were here, i would mediate for you... :-)

ff, have you ever thought of hiring a chef to come in and cook for you?...haha...it's only gonna get up to 65-degrees over here...you must be ecstatic!

tell me we haven't lost tammy again :-( hope she's okay, but it's certainly been awhile...

i wonder how lynn is doing as well?

GIRLS????!!!

i'm kinda following abi in the weight loss pace department...weighed today and i am down 2 lbs. for the two week period since the blitz started...i'm at 230.2...i WILL be in the 220s by next week...had a good workout at the gym today and nothing is aching, thank goodness!

woke up a few minutes ago.

I feel very refreshed and HUNGRY. I had nothing to eat since early afternoon. I did not plan it that way. going to SHOPRITE a little later. gonna get 1.5 lbs of Hebrew Nat'l salami, and 1.5 lbs of roast beef, and 1.5 lbs of muenster cheese. need to monitor consumption of the latter.I LOVE CHEESE TOO MUCH. gotta get some Jewish Deli mustard, and reduced carb ketchup. on the liquids, I need some diet chocolate, and diet black cherry soda, among other zero carb beveridges. and, the MOST IMPORTANT thing I am going to get there is cost free-exercise. gonna walk all the aisles at least once(22 of them). oh, yesterday, I ate the noodle-less soup with the incidental carrots. when I have the carrots, I do not have the bacon...so I had 3 cheddar burgers with a sunny side up egg atop each. I am very excited about the stuff I ordered on Netrition, AND the copperchef xl which incl the induction cooker. I shall be bbq-ing my way through eternity. Enjoy summer day #25 y'all. for those of y'all who care (and I am sure it is only me), today's opera radio broadcast is Tchaikovsky's Yevgeny Onyegin at 1pm EDT on wqxr.org outside and inside of the NY/Newark area. 105.9 fm locally Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

The imperfection in the carpet was due to a slight shift of the concrete that would require grinding of which we are not going to do. So, I sent an email to salesperson explaining that and since no floor prep was done, we expected a refund of what we paid. We are getting the refund. I feel better about the situation now.

I carbed out a bit yesterday. We went to the county fair last night and I had a gyro and ice cream. Normally I get a funnel cake and DH and I split it. But, the place that we bought those from, retired. Oh well. Not sure ice cream was a better carb replacement or not. LOL

It is going to get hot here today and several days. Back on track today so far. I will weigh on Monday and report.

Tony, Dr. was glad that the margins were clear. Dh looks pretty rough today and hurts all over for some reason. They actually sewed the packing to his face. Sorry for too much information gang.

ouch!...he has packing sewed to his face and you're wondering why he hurts all over???...i'm hurting all over just from hearing about it! any kind of surgery is a shock to your entire system...

vicki, i am a fool for the fair french fries...i never skip them...

ff, i've never had chocolate soda...i'm not sure i've ever seen it, but it sounds like something i would like...

a little mediation work today, and mostly chilling at home so far...son and i are watching the yankee-red sox game...just had a chili dog and some wings...

last night, dw and i met old friends for dinner about an hour north of us...we've known this couple for over 31 years and had such a nice time...we seem to get together every 3-4 months...

does anyone have anything fun going on this weekend?

the long time defunct NO-CAL soda Co....

a division of Kirsch soda Co. had a delicious chocolate soda AND, an incomparable coffee soda too. One almost wished to be diabetic with sodas like those. I know because earth grandma used to drink it. NO CAL made other flavors, but the aforementioned were the best. Morris Kirsch, the CEO of that Co. was on the board of directors of the hospital at which I worked. He and earth mom (who worked in payroll) were on a 1st name basis. My mom introduced him to me once. He allowed me to address him as Mr. Kirsch. both these flavors complemented perfectly LOUIS SHERRY'S diabetic ice cream. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

going back...back...back...

no, not in time. going back to SHOPRITE, to finish what I started, yesterday. not much in the way of food. mostly toiletries, paper towels etc. I ate 1 meal yesterday, after the opera. I had some salami slices, some roast beef slices, and 3 paper thin slices of muenster cheese, all dipped in Jewish deli mustard. eating thick slices is much better than wafer thin slices. it has a better mouth feel, AND I eat less. the cheese i am being EXTREMELY cautious with. my previous caseus excursions, I devoured a cow's worth.I do NOT like "yellow" mustard. but, as yet, I have not had the adventurous spirit to try DIJON mustard. will 2017 be the year? why not? this will be the year that I will be expanding my palette for veggies I have not yet tried, such as JICAMA. what you can do with a potato, you can do with a JICAMA. you CAN eat JICAMA uncooked. You cannot do that with a potato. well, most people will not. Bridgette Lancaster of America's Test Kitchen likes raw potato. you must peel a JICAMA. unlike potato, the peel is inedible. I also discovered that the same foods will have different carb counts when they are cooked. I think many of us do/did not take that into account when they hit a plateau, and their produce portions were getting a bit "careless". Well, y'all enjoy summer day 26. July is 1/2 over. I cannot wait to say that about October. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

ff, thanks for the story about the soda company...that is interesting...i didn't know you had followed in your mother's footsteps at the hospital, although i don't think you were in payroll, were you?...i remember when your mom passed away....was that in 2010 or 2011?

the baseball game went 16 innings yesterday, and ended after 10 p.m., so that killed the day/night...haha...out to mow in a bit...

what's everyone else up to?

no, i was in medical billing, T.

that I lasted 32 years in that place shows us that the age of miracles is not over. and, speaking of miracles: I encountered THE SALE OF THE CENTURY!!! every time I pass the meat dept, I ask myself why they cut the porterhouse steaks wafer thin. so, when I saw the young lady putting out yet more wafer thin porterhouse steaks, the lightbulb over my head was turned on. I need something very special to baptize, as it were, my new xl copperchef pan. so, I asked her if she or someone there could slice me a porterhouse no less than 1.5" thick. and she did. AND, it is $8.99 a lb. for the 5 boroughs, that is a good price. it weighs in at 2.07 lbs. I know that I will be chomping away at that steak before month end. nothing is going on that steak, except garlic, and fresh cracked pepper. alongside, I will have a small portion of roasted veggies. I will not now wait for the birthday of the divine Augustus to enjoy the Michelob Ultra, but will have it with the steak. I am only sorry I cannot share the experience with someone. where were we all today?

as usual, I decided to stay in today. I do need to get out, though. it was warm in my bedroom. I did not even go into the living room where the new fan lives. I had some more of the salami/roastbeef/cheese/Nathans Jewish deli mustard. it was about 11:00a.m. I am sort of hungry now, BUT, I will wait a little while longer. if I am still hungry, I will consume some or all of the remainder of the aforementioned, but NOT the cheese. I am a ritualistic person. I decided to do the steak/veggie/ beer meal on Aug 1. why Aug 1st? Aug 1st, 10 BC is the birth of
Claudius Caesar, the 4th emperor of Rome. In his case, Caesar was NOT a personal name, but an administrative title. He was not adopted into the Julian family. But (in my house) he IS a god. As I can only get a 25 oz can of Michelob Ultra, and not just one 12 oz bottle, I will make a sacrificial offering of the 13 oz remainder, to Uncle Claudius. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Sewing to the face just made my stomach turn!!

Finally have a new cell, of course it couldn't be easy. Long story short, I didn't get banned from another store, but I did get an upgrade plus a free month since I had to get a new number. And it wasn't pretty either LOL

Food today, wasn't hungry for breakfast, lunch will be ham and cheese with a pickle. Probably a salad for dinner.

Bus leaves Wednesday evening for Florida, kids are getting excited. I'm gonna be mad Friday at 1pm when I can't watch them shoot. Thing 1 said it will be on TV, that would be sweet! I'll Google it and see what I find...

it is and will be quite hot here in the "baked" apple this week.

i will stay in again today. i DID finish off the remainder of he salami and roast beef last night. 1st, i ate the roast beef. then as i was watching Johnny Carson, i realized i needed the salami as well. there were only a few slices left. i left the cheese alone. later, today i will order a container of noodle free chicken soup, 2 bacon cheese burgers with a thin slice of tomato and onion and a sunny side up egg atop each. the tomato and onion will be the sole carbs of the day. i will also get a pint container of tuna salad for the evening with which i can scoop up with my pork rinds. there was a brand of pork rinds at SHOPRITE with a considerably low sodium content of 280 mg per 1/2 oz portion size. otherwise, i will be drinking ice cold drinks all day long. Tony, sorry about your father in law. remember the good times. Abi, i hope the healing goes very quickly. it is because of post surgery considerations, that i am putting off my own spinal procedure. that AND the fact the neuro surgeon won't touch me until i lose enough weight. IF i continue with my present plan, i believe i can get to 199 lbs by New Year's. Happy 28th day of summer, HEWMONS! Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Can't find it. I'll check the program guide when I get home.

I also ordered from Netrition, held back a bit and only bought breadsticks, bagels, and stinky noodles. Oh and a lemon breakfast bar, I hope it's good! Will be in Thursday.

Trying something new today. You have seen the birdseye mashed cauliflower, now they have different steam pack noodles, some with sauces like marinara. They are made out of zucchini and lentils. I am trying the ones called original. The looks and texture are great. the taste is a little weird. I put extra butter and salt on them. Will probably try the ones with the marinara sauce.
