Good morning gang!

Epic fail yesterday. Pizza King. We shall not speak of it any more.

Today's menu is very low carb, might even be low fat too to make amends. The family will have the ziti and salad.

I won the whole pot at work for the challenge, new clothes are in my near future.

Have a great day!

happy KALENDAE AVGVSTAE Blitzers!

had a great meal yesterday-very HIGH fat, very LOW carb. THAT'S HOW IT WORKS! I had the chicken soup, TWO bunless cheddar burgers with A LITTLE tomato and onion, and a sunny side egg atop each one...AND a delicious and sizable portion of broiled salmon. as I previously mentioned, today is a Hebrew Fast day. at sundown, I shall eat again. On behalf of the divine Claudius Caesar and myself, FELICES DIES XLI AESTATIS(happy summer day #41. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Tony, thanks for the offer of good nursing advice. I'll let you know after DH talks me through the paces this morning!

Chris, wow, the whole pot! New clothes are such a pick me up and make all this watching what we eat worth it!

Ok, FF, you and Tony both like the egg on top of the burger, I might just have to try that one time only. lol

Morning!

Someone knock me out, I haven't behaved 2 days in a row! No reason. But I bought me new clothes today, so now I have to get back on track. I'm not ever buying larger ones.

My sister and I made plans yesterday for a cook out at Mom and Dad's this weekend. I'm taking broccoli salad, spaghetti salad made with Sea Tangle noodles, and a cheeseball. I hope the Netrition order comes Friday or I'll be short noodles and crackers! I think those dishes are all I ever take to cook outs. At least I know I can eat them.

chris, i just had a small bowl of ice cream as an act of solidarity for your recent 2-day transgression congrats on needing new clothes!...i liked the first season of american horror story, but never saw another season...are they all good?

abs, happy to hear the nursing is going well...the offer stands if you ever need it...i know you usually order scrambled eggs - i get them "over easy" unless i am getting a scramble or omelet, so putting one on top of a burger was fine...i've only had it once and it was at applebees several weeks ago...do you like a fried egg?

ff, i bet that is awesome chicken soup...do you always get it from the same place?

more babies today when i got home from work...i'm in heaven...haha...

Tony, I do like fried eggs but always want them with toast to sop up the yoke! lol So I order the scrambled to keep temptation at bay.

Update on my fast five diet. It has been 7 weeks and a few days now. Dr. Herring said people should lose about a pound a week starting around week three. I said I would be patient this time around. I did gain a couple of pounds before I went back to low carb and am now down 9 pounds! Finally lost the weight I put on after the knee break. So I will keep on keeping on and hope to get to goal sometime in the future!

Tony, they're all good. The 2nd is my favorite and I miss Jessica Lange being in them.

Coffee, leftovers, and salad today, nothing special.

First day of school! Thing 1 Is already up and in the shower. It's Thing 2 that is NOT a morning person. And what dumb @$$ decided to start school on a Friday?!

Currently at the shop waiting for the front end alignment to get finished. Hurry up I'm hungry. Then to the best pizza place for the herd. I'll have a salad. Plus I'm finally going to stop and get internet. It's nice getting your 40 hours over early! Then stop at the Amish store, there's a huge cheese sale going on. Later!

I have been so bad for not checking in. I am way behind on posts, as usual and will get caught up.

Attached are two pictures. They are obvious....my before picture, sent with a lot of shame...and a selfie and just took this morning.

Marilee, you look fantastic! So happy to hear from you!

Dh got all his stitches and tubes out on Thursday. The Dr was thrilled with how good he looked and took a bunch of pictures. He is also a professor at the medical school so the photos of I'm sure before and the after will go down in history at Dartmouth.

Made some almond meal crackers yesterday. Easy and pretty good.

One cup almond meal
on egg white
a little salt in with the meal
poppy seeds and sesame seeds if you want

mix meal with egg white, put on parchment paper , cover with saran wrap and roll to very thin. sprinkle on seeds and roll once again to set them in dough, remove saran wrap. Put parchment with dough on cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 350
break into pieces and put into a 250 degree oven for 30 minutes to crisp up more ( I just turn off oven and let it cool down a little and put them back in)

The one cup of meal is 24 carbs and 12 grams of fiber. Depending on how many pieces you break it into you can figure out the carbs per piece.

You look fabulous!!!

Me and the kids went to Mom and Dad's, food was grilled pork chops and broccoli salad. Also snacked on a cheeseball with nasty low carb crackers, I wasn't impressed with them. Home now and fixing burgers, the old man was hungry and apparently doesn't know how to cook

I hit the cheese sale at the Amish store for my sis, she in turn hit the sale at the meat market, hamburger, whole chickens, rump roasts, and boneless New York strips! Gonna eat good this week!!

annual summer rashes right on schedule.

it feels worse than they look, and they look horrible. yet another reason for me to hate summer.. calamine lotion does nothing. today, my friend is coming over to do my floors. next week, he will do the 2nd 1/2 of the apartment. it is too warm to do the whole place at one time. then we are going to the diner. I will get the pork chops with melted mozzarella atop each. I will have the waiter bring me an oz of marinara sauce on the side. I am bringing my own holy trinity of spices on the side-garlic, oregano, and pepperoncino(red pepper flakes). new timetable for the 2.07 lb porterhouse will be Sept 23, the beginning of Autumn, and exponentially more important, the birthday of the god Augustus. more later. Happy 47th day of summer. Oh, yes-today is the anniversary of the atomic bomb over Hiroshima. sad, but oh so necessary. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Sorry to hear the rashes FF!

Today was a double birthday party for my niece and her half sister, they're 2 weeks apart but my niece is leaving for college soon. No cupcake for me!

Came home and fixed the NY strips, the herd had theirs with Montreal seasoning. Mine was with garlic butter and closer to medium rare and wow was it good. The old man said it was still mooing Asparagus and salad, they had baked taters.

And I forgot to weigh in this morning, probably for the best, I misbehaved 3 days last week. What the crap! But I'm determined to stay on course.

nodded off again...that is a good thing.

missed JEOPARDY-that is not. however, I went a whole day w/o food. just ordered my House Special Soup, and a large sliced roast pork w/o any sauce. still very moist and delicious. my ATKINS 72 strategy seems to be paying dividends. my pants are getting noticibly looser. I will go to the dr. on or about Sept 23. assuming I will stay on my current course (I am not expecting any icebergs), I am anticipating good results. Happy 48th day of summer y'all. Yesterday at work sucked. How can 1 person be such a pain in the @$$? A client, and my least favorite, the one that got me the police escort to my car a while back.

Today will be ham and cheese, last of the roast, most likely breakfast for dinner.

Here's the kids on their 2nd day of school, I forgot the annual photo. Thing 1 is a sophomore, Thing 2 a freshman.

OMG my teeth hurt. Every freaking one. That's what I get for waiting so long for cleaning. I take that back, one tooth doesn't hurt and it's the one they capped. Explain that one.

Whole chicken in the oven, salt, pepper, garlic, and I shoved a stick of butter up its butt. should be done soon. But the teeth hurt!

Good Morning, have been enjoying the weather, highs of no more than 80, low in the mid 50's, nice!

Teeth feel much better this morning, which is good cause I'm starving. I didn't have dinner since they hurt, unless you count trying to eat the crispy chicken skin. From what I could taste with the metallic taste in my mouth from the cap, the chicken was good. That will be lunch today. Fried eggs for breakfast, the old man is bringing dinner home, so who knows yet.

Tony, have safe trips back and forth and check in when you can.

FF, did the phone revive itself? I'm enjoying my new cell phone, especially the cheaper monthly payment!

cell phone is resurrected.

don't know how or why, but it is. sometimes I wait too long to eat. I was actually having impure thoughts, but the PLAN food is on its way. house special soup and TWO large orders of sliced roast pork. I am sure I will not need both, but better to be safe than sorry. Good morning!

Thank you for the kind comments on my before and after pictures! Speaking of pictures, Chris I love the ones of the boys. Good looking kids! I hope your teeth are better...there is nothing worse than tooth pain.

ff, so glad your phone is operational. I know who frustrating that can be.

Abi, how's your DH doing? He sure has been through it, hasn't he. Praying for the best for you guys.

Tony, so glad you checked in. I was beginning to worry about you. Are you writing more music?

It's a beautiful morning here in the Southwest...woke up to a very light sprinkling but it has stopped now. The monsoon is back for a couple of days.

Take care everyone...TGIF!!!!! TTFN
