Will someone make out the shopping list? I hate trying to figure out what to have. It's always the same. I am fixing another chicken today. And I'm gonna see if the butcher shop has chicken skins. Chicken cracklins!

Yesterday at work was a pain, thank goodness it's the weekend. No plans except the grocery.

I made a cheddar biscuit in a coffee mug for breakfast. I couldn't get over the coconut taste from the flour. And too eggy, I couldn't eat it all.

Chicken skin is the best part of the bird. I've been enjoying taco salads lately...make them myself so I know what's in it. No chips or flour shells. I also have been having chef salads. Yum!

Over cast this morning. I hope we get some rain.

Good morning! Where is everyone?! It's been too quiet in here.

No plans for today except a trip to the dollar store for what I forgot yesterday. Thing 1 has baseball practice, he joined a fall ball league that lasts 6 or 8 weeks. I don't wanna go, female issues, so I'm hoping the old man takes him. And of course the never ending laundry.

Bacon, egg, cheese lc burrito was breakfast. Taco salad for lunch. Baked chicken and asparagus will be dinner.

Not much going on here. Had to work Friday night and this coming Friday night. Pretty exhausting. Thursday we hope to head over to north Bennington to see mrs. Kenyon and my childhood friends, her daughters Andrea and Cheryl. Mrs. Kenyon is like my second mom and turned 95 on wed. She is a wonderful joyful person. Can't wait to see her.

did lots of cleaning yesterday...

before my friend came over to do the floors. then we went to the diner. the food arrived at the table about 4 pm. I had eaten nothing that day because I wanted to be super hungry, AND I did not want to take food home BECAUSE I was going to SHOPRITE after the diner. However, I had never seen such thick pork chops. I had to force myself to finish the 1st one. Truly, these were "PORTERHOUSE" pork chops. I consumed the 2nd one about 7:am today. I was exhausted by the time I got home, and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I was in bed all day today, and will probably be so tomorrow, too. I hope to get out by Wed. Happy summer day #55. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

hi guys!

i broke down and got internet at the cottage...i like being unplugged there, but we have almost no cell service there as well, and this coming weekend my three sons and i will be staying there to have a boys' weekend in celebration of second son's wedding in september...should be fun, but he needs access to internet and phone for work, even on the weekends...may get a cell signal booster today...

actually i am hoping youngest son and i will be at the cottage later today for the rest of the week...we are both off til next week...we had the best time last week with the babies up there..i had to come back to nh to mediate for a couple of days, but emmy was in maine with dw and the girls didn't want to leave with her last wednesday, so she left them with us...it was a blast!

we kept them going every minute and they LOVED it...the beach, the town fair, pony rides, walks, picking berries, reading stories, seeing wildlife, restaurants, ice cream, running through the sprinkler, bookstore trip, bouncy house, etc...they did not want to leave on sunday when we brought them back...

vincent and i had some work to do here yesterday which we got done before my truck sprung a fuel leak and had to be towed to the garage where it is sitting now...will have to wait to get it back before heading north...we will be bringing chain saw and brush cutters to maine to try to open up our path down to the lake on our land up there...trees fall in the woods every year and i haven't cleaned it up in a few years, so we will see what we can get done...

second son took some big cherry logs in the woods at home in nh and is milling them into a bar for his werdding...he used to climb the tree they came from when he was a young boy, so that will be cool...the tree was huge when it got sick a few years ago and had to come down...

marilee!!!!!...good to see you posting!...we've missed you!

chris, i remember when it was non-stop sports seasons over here...it is fun but exhausting!...i'd be happy to make your shopping list!

ff, that pork chop sounds delicious...i think pork chops are one of the best food bargains...if you buy and grill them right (no overcooking!), they can be almost as good as a steak and for 1/4 the price of a ribeye (my favorite!)...

abi, you need a vacation!...how is hubby doing?...and how is your knee?...is it at 90% - 80?...wish you didn't have to work so hard...

okay, i've babbled long enough...i will still be posting spottily for the next week, but will check in when i can...love you guys!

Good morning. I hate mornings. Not really, I hated afternoons when I worked night's. I just hate being all nice and cozy, usually dreaming when the alarm goes off.

I have to go to the head office today, it's a nice change to the routine.

Fried eggs and breakfast, steak for lunch, dinner is unknown at the moment.

Nice photo Chris!

We had a wonderful time at our.
Neighbors house yesterday. I made a sugarfree cheesecake as Mrs. Kenyon has diabetes. Everyone loved it.

My computer is not working. Ugh. Having to use tablet so excuse my crazy writing.

Tony, living in TN but might be moving back to AR soon. It's so good to see you all are doing so well!

I've lost 4 lbs since Monday, so just hoping to keep the momentum going.

looking pretty hot there, chris, even if a bit horizontal...haha...

are you in nashville, artemis?...if my memory is correct, you lived there and then moved back home as you had an ailing family member...i think you were still in AR the last time we heard from you...is that right?

i am in maine with my youngest son waiting for my two older sons to arrive for our boys' weekend...should be fun...not sure what we will do, but brought our golf clubs, poker chips, our fishing gear, got a bunch of snacks...it hasn't been just the four of us like this for a long time...

abs, happy to hear mrs. kenyon enjoyed the cheesecake...it must be so nice for all of you to get together...how's hubby?

marilee, i forgot to tell you how AMAZING you look!...i bet there are people you worked with that would not recognize you if they saw you!

Good morning all. Today's plan was absolutely nothing, until I realized the mutt needed food. And I need a script refilled, my thyroid might appreciate it. I did grocery shopping yesterday, but need another meal idea, I'll look around and see what sounds good. Meals for the coming week include Mississippi pot roast, spaghetti salad (Sea Tangle noodles for mine), and breakfast.

Breakfast today was coffee and pepperoni, yep, I ate that for breakfast. Lunch will be pizza on Linda Sue's crust, that crust is addictive. Spaghetti salad for dinner.

Thing 1 wants to go to the gun shop, but I'll end up wanting something LOL And seeing as yesterday was payday, not a good idea.

Have a good weekend.

happy summer day #60, HEWMONS!

we are getting there. I will be putting my new living room fan to the test for the next 5 days. we are gonna get a break on Thursday. I fell asleep before I could order food last night, so I just ordered it now. sausages and soup now, and mozzarella burgers after the opera. the fellow just picked up my laundry. it will be returned no later than 5 pm. tomorrow is SHOPRITE. gonna get me a ton of Hebrew National salami, and some muenster cheese. so looking forward to cooking. it will not be cool enough in the kitchen till the beginning of November. Enjoy the day y'all. Today's opera (Los Angeles Opera) is Il Barbiere Di Siviglia(Rossini)-wqxr.org at 1 pm EDT. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Yes, Tony. Have been living in the Memphis area for almost 4 years now. From where I live, 2 hours from family as compared to the 5 hours drive it was from Nashville. We have tons of people coming in for the eclipse. Anyone else in the totality zone?

Had to leave work yesterday with a light case of the stomach bug...still feeling completely wiped out today. I was able to only get a small fraction of the stuff done that I usually get done on Saturdays. I've been walking 5 miles every Sat and Sun, and today could only do 2. At least it's something I guess.

I had IMPURE thoughts today. i ALMOST succumbed

to a high carb orgy..but I did not. my broiled salmon is on its way, along with 2 cheddar burgers with a sunny side up egg atop each...not to mention my de rigeur chicken soup w/o noodles. you see, even I am not free from temptation. I must stay focused 24/7. Happy summer day # 61. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

ff, good for you for not caving in!...not an easy thing to do and we have all been there...you've worked very hard to get to where you are!

artemis, i love memphis - the music, the food, especially bbq!...had alligator gumbo at the rum boogie cafe on beal street...awesome!...have you been there yet?...happy you are closer to your family although i LOVE nashville too...you always were amazing in your workouts - 5 miles a day is pretty impressive!

abs, hope hubby gets some relief when he gets to dhmc on thursday...i had a great time with my boys this weekend...so so much fun...played golf all day on saturday and ate lobsters and clams all weekend...went for a swim on our lake lot on sunday after clearing our trail...it's over 500 feet from the road to the pond, and it slopes downhill so it was a task, but the 4 of us made short work of it...it was just nice for the four of us to be together...i was sad when they left sunday afternoon...vincent and i drove back later on sunday night...

chris, how many guns do you have?...haha...or should i ask, do you need?...do you hunt?
