Morning Fungsters!

DH got called out of town suddenly for work, I have no food-involved plans for the next couple of days, and I am feeling particularly tubby, so I have embarked on a fast. 12 hours so far, let's see where I can go. I am off work, but have tons of projects planned around the house.

My birthday is Saturday and we are celebrating my son's on Friday (he wanted to spend his actual 21st birthday with his friends, not his mommy, go figure ). So I'll break it Friday (if I make it that far). Friday morning would be 84 hours. I think I have made that once before.

Back after a while.
I have been staying around 160 (higher than I want to be) but oddly still fit 32 levi's, 33 wranglers quite well. As in, same size when I was 150 or so.
I have followed Dr Fung into fasting heaven, down into the low 140's and am planning to get back there soon.
Thanks.
Srinath.

Thanks Carol.

My fast only made it 24 hours. I had some tuna and some salad and started the timer again.

No, that is incorrect, negative thinking. Take out the "only" and you have the real results. "My Fast made it 24 hours!"

Just sayin' lol Mindset is everything!

Welcome back! I've wondered how you were doing. It is good to see you. Good luck getting back to where you want to be. You will be there soon!

I made it 48 hours on my attempt at the 5 day fast, so that tells me to aim high and reach my goal. I wasn't able to reach 48 before so by failing at reaching 5 days I made it to 48. So a win/lose. And so far 6 pound for me. So happy also.

My first week was a total canceling out of my fasting effort with my feasting. So I'm now gonna just eat what I will be allowed once I reach my goal of 140. I found out that is 1950 to 2150 which is so nice...I can do this on my non-fasting days easy breezy

Hi to all and thanks to Diamond Deb on the info about the MSG.....I would have Kept eating it, but now I know it spikes insulin, which we don't measure with the BS test strips. That makes some sense to me why so many folks eat oriental food and just get hungry so soon after eating!
I am angry that MSG is legal. I keep finding more proof that "they" are just trying to kill us all. Seriously.

You're right. There was a time I could barely go 3 hours without eating, so 24 is great.

Hey, Deb I like the way you think!

I've deviated from my plan to eat every-other day. However, I am still exercising and have not thrown in the towel, so I'm still doing this!

I'm proud of you, Gina! Keep up the great work!

I'm still doing 1-2 meals per day. I plan to continue this way but I have added a supplement that breaks my fast. I'm taking the supplement 3 x per day on an empty stomach so it is just going to be whatever it is. I'm still going to call it fasting.

Hi GG! nice to see you popping in here! the proof could just be in the pudding for showing this guy fasting works
Hello everyone...I don't see an August "Fung" thread yet so I will post here. All has been going quite well with my chosen WOE. I have been OMAD since June 23 and have lost 10.6 lbs which is a hallelujah for me. I was totally stuck up at that high number and now I can see my feet....just kidding, I could see my feet but it was definitely getting harder to fold and bend and I dont think it was just age. I was just eating way too much and all the time!! This WOE has definitely shown me what I do need and what I don't need! I have even had a few meals that weren't exactly on point, however, I do believe that you must have a cheat once in awhile and so far, it has been worth it! Also, I found that I was missing having a breakfast once in awhile so guess what, I had breakfast for dinner (supper), that totally satisfied me!

Tell me, how are the rest of you doing?

Donna
