Amazing, Carolyn! What a wonderful thing to do for your health.
Thanks for giving the details of your fast. Very helpful!

Well done Carolyn, I doubt very much that I will go that long!

BTW: How much salt do you take daily or is it just salt from chicken stock?

I am only on day 10 and not feeling any hunger, not even when I sit down at the table for dinner with my wife and 3 4-year-old bundles of joy. Even cooking whole meals for them has been easy.

Saying that, my wife cooked a curry tonight and it smelled unbelievably good. In fact, judging by the smell it must be absolutely the nicest curry that has ever been upon the face of the earth. The smell is all through the house and will be for a couple of days.

The strange thing is that it smells soooo nice but I don't feel any hunger. I suppose it is a reminder that I used to often eat something because it smells or tastes good rather than because I am hungry.

Do you have triplets? I was impressed with your fast before, but with triplets I am super-impressed!

I'm amazed that you got through your first few days with young triplets in the house!!

For the last month I've been experiencing the same thing with many foods smelling absolutely wonderful. I don't have any desire to actually eat them, but thoroughly enjoy breathing deeply to savor the odors! And, I too have found I don't mind cooking or preparing food at all.

I had no intention at the beginning of going this long - it's just sort of evolved. . .

Glad things are going so smoothly for you!

I really don't track it. I use a liquid electrolyte supplement that has potassium, calcium, phosphorous and zinc as well as sodium chloride a couple of times a day - the levels aren't very high for any of the electrolytes provided. Then there's the salt from the boullion. A couple of times I was away from home for most of the day and hadn't planned well - wound up eating salt out of the palm of my hand. . .

Wow Mike & Carolyn -that is amazing.

I've been doing really well with OMAD. Combined with keto style eating, I've had some crazy whooshes this week. I imagine it'll balance out soon. I'm most glad that after my one meal, I feel up to working out, so that hasn't suffered.

Yes, the triplets are quite a challenge, as any parent of multiples will understand.

I am on day 15 now and all is well. I do get the occasional hunger pang but it is usually gone within about a minute.

I have taken to filling a 3 litre bottle with water and adding a teaspoon of sea salt. That way I can hardly taste it and it helps to maintain my electrolytes as well as indicating how much water I should be aiming for to stay hydrated.

At this point I think I am starting to feel sorry for myself because looking at everybody else eating around me makes me feel like I am missing out. Don't get me wrong, I can see that this is the psychological side and I take seeing other people eating as a trigger to eat even though I am not hungry.

I am way too stubborn to actually eat anything.

So far I am down 9.4kg (20.72lbs) but I have a long way to go. It is my wedding anniversary in 2 days and if I don't take my wife out life won't be worth living so I am not sure what I am going to do there... I suppose that the best I can do is plan a bit of a party and have her and friends do the eating.

I am making daily videos but at this point there really isn't anything to report apart from my stats.

Personally, I have not had the boost of energy I was expecting but maybe that is because of my weight.

I am surprised to still be pooping bile so far into my fast but I understand that this varies from person to person.

Anyhow, I just thought I would check in and let you know I am still alive

My wife has now joined me on my fast. She is around the 36 hour mark, feeling a little tired and is not very confident that she can do it but even 36 hours is really great.

So glad your wife has joined in!! It should be much easier for both of you.

21 pounds - must be easier to pick up the toys!

On day 64 my bowels are still quite active (where on earth is all this stuff coming from?!!!)
Still supplementing as above but am now making sure I get at least 3000 mg of salt per day.

I'm doing well and am taking this week by week. (Just started week 10.

Hope everything goes well with you and your family.

Thanks JayLynn!

It feels rather amazing. As I start into week 10 my waist is below 35" for the first time in over 20 years and to my huge surprise, the spider veins around my knees have disappeared.

Hope everything is going well for you.

Not a subject most people idly chat about but it is probably just bile. Bile is what normally softens your stools and it starts it's journey as a bright green colour. As it travels through your bowels it turns yellow and then brown (which is why poop is brown). I think when fasting it is normally somewhere between green and brown when it comes out.
