I have my own bottle of mustard in the fridge that I put stickers all over so everyone knows its mine. I add water to it to thin it out so it lasts longer and makes a sauce when I squirt it out!!

Its a yes yes Jeanie! Wise choice as you ease back into it.

i have to be honest peeps... the idea of slo ro grosses me out now. LOL

I.CANT.GO.BACK

BUT 1 pound of chicken breast has 139 grams of protein, which falls into the category of perfect amount for my height. Yup. I looked it up.

BUT, enough about chicken... I need beef recipes. I really wanted to get steak out of the way this week but the 2 restaurants I went to did not have regular plain steak on the menu. They were both "seafood places". I went to the grocery store to see if I could pick up my own to grill, but the good cuts in the case were 19.99 lb. My cheapo self couldnt do it. So, Im thinking big pot o stew meat for next week?!?! Or that big london broil?!? I want a fall apart/shredded beef. slo ro but beef style..

I am looking for a reason to keep doing what Im doing. Im feeling good and honestly scared (biting nails) of switching plans or changing anything.. I could easily ride the meat thing out a few more weeks....

Well, it's kinda like Crystal Light.. 5 cals per serving so even if you ate the entire bottle you can't do that much damage

It prob takes me like a week to go through a bottle though.

Ive never seen sugar free, but I have tried reduced sugar. I bet I could do the same water-down trick to make it last.. You are good to make it last all week- I bet its a tiny bottle too

speaking of crystal light, I havent had the g tea peach mango in over a week. Its been strictly lemonade for me. yum!

Chicken thighs, ham with spicy mustard roll up, greek yogurt and a protein shake. I'm good!

Dh is driving me crazy with the house search though! We looked at one today that I adore and want to make an offer on but he is not sure, yet again

Back down to 128.6 today, last Sunday I was 126.2. I do think the 126 might have been an artificial low though due to undereating. So overall I am happy I will measure tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great day! Weather is nice here for August!

Great menu! Hope hubby can make a decision for you today!! Perhaps the heat was getting to him too! Enjoy the beautiful day today!!

I went home last night and had ketchup. Well, on my chicken of course. NOT alone! I ended up squirting a second serving but put some sriracha in it so I couldnt just lick it up off the plate! Ok.. I may have done that anyway..

I am weary of chicken as well. I only truly like beef when it is smothered in cheese, but maybe ketchup would help

there is no substitute for cheese!!! I feel your pain!! lol BUT a ketchup and mustard combo on some ground beef... YUM!

I was just daydreaming of blending a jar of salsa to make my own spicy ketchup.

I like doing reduced sugar ketchup with FF sour cream on ground turkey... and then I mix it all up into a bowl of delicious slop.

And yeah Al you're right- it's reduced sugar, not sugar free- 1 carb per tablespoon.

Great job Jeanie- glad to hear you're back on track!

Sounds like thousand island dressing when you mix the ketchup and sour cream?

Hey all.. I'm here having a lazy Sunday. Yesterday we had friends over for a BBQ and grilled a bunch of meat..I had 2 turkey burgers (thin and skimpy lol) and a turkey brat. Our guests brought this chocolate caramel log ice cream cake thing from DQ. Man, it looked good and I was tempted, but having a bellyful of meat helped me resist

Today is kinda quiet.. DH just went to the store with DD6- it's her birthday in a week and they went to get invitations as well. DD9 wants to ride her scooter in the driveway. I might go to the gym later...nothin heavy. We are planning our trip to see my mom in a couple of weeks and hoping to make the most of the end of summer!

The party is at the kids' swim school- one hour of swimming and one hour eating/presents. Less work for me.. lol. Last year we rented a bounce house and after the party everyone in the neighborhood came over- I think it ended up being an 8 hour party!! I was mega maxed out after that!

I know what ya mean about being along for the ride-- DH is planning all these end of summer get togethers while I'm smiling and practicing acceptance.. lol.

No really I'm sure it will all be fun, and my lazy introverted butt would probably never see anyone outside our family if he didn't encourage me to!

Good morning!

Didn't get much sleep last night.. 10:30-4... trying not to complain too much as last week was a week of rockstarish sleep. DH had to get up at 3 to work on stuff for meetings he has this week. At least I got an extra hour.. also DD9 ended up on our floor again.. that always disrupts the night a bit. She said her bed is uncomfortable.. well, so is ours! Get over it, kid. LOL I'm kidding. Our bed is getting old though.. I keep hearing that you need a new mattress every 8 years... we all might need new beds I guess!

I'm doing well with eating.. yesterday was a lazy day, we went to church, did a few errands, sat on the deck and chilled, and watched "Boss Baby" later in the evening. Weird concept, but the kids liked it. I had A LOT of trouble staying awake, but managed.

DH made salmon that comes in a box for dinner. I was horrified to see it was farm raised. He acted nonchalant about that.. 'big deal, we haven't it in like 6 months.' The color of the fish was electrifyingly orange... and the grease bubbled all around it. It looked gross, but the kids actually liked it. I am sure it was pesticide laden...ugh.. I don't want to think about it! I had my ground turkey slop again and a few dry green beans that came from the farmer's market and ended the day around 1400 cals. I am noticing a trend where my cals are between 1300-1500, not much lower. I probably need to reduce them to lose, huh?? Not sure if I care... ha! I am so glad to not be driven to binge. It's been since 6/25.

Last night I wanted 'something...' yeah.. something like bread. I found myself in the kitchen looking around and opening cupboards... hmm.... not good. haha. I ended up eating some turkey deli meat before bed and that held me for the night... but I do think I'm getting somewhat bored of my food. Loving the ground turkey though.. it's really good with the FF sour cream and sugar free ketchup all mixed up. I will probably have that for lunch today.

We are planning a trip to Green Bay on 8/19 to see my mom.. and THEN I have sold DH on the idea of driving down to see the life size replica of Noah's Arc which is in Williamstown, KY. Not only THAT, but it will be during the total solar eclipse which will be 8/21 and we'll be far enough south to see it!! I am a nerd and I LOVE that kind of stuff. I decided when I was 12 that I wanted to be an astronaut... Astronaut, addiction counselor, pretty much the same thing, huh? Well at least I can still call myself an 'amateur' astronomer.

Williamsburg is about an 11 hour road trip from here, but it won't be too bad to drive 5 hours to Green Bay, stay the night, and then head onto the next leg of our journey.

I'm sure that many containers of Gladware and ground turkey will be accompanying me...haha!!

I hope you all have a wonderful and stress-free Monday!

Melissa, Oh wow you are gonna be busy in August, sounds like a lot of fun!! When do the girls go back to school?

I am a bit bored with the foods as well but like AL mentioned I am afraid to change it up. A bit early for me anyway as I set myself back with the sugar binges.

I slept better last night with the help of benadryl

Hope you check in soon honeypie, amy, bratty, mim and AL.

I am still around. Glad to hear others are sick of dry chicken too. My dog has been enjoying the last of a big batch I had made. I'm eating burgers, eggs, and cheese. Not very Stillman's like but lower fat for me since I no longer use butter or mayo. Probably not losing much. Afraid to weigh. Feeling well though and still running.

Needing to re-establish a serious pound-shedding routine...

I drank a low carb, sugar free shake yesterday, and I gained 3 lbs. The problem is that commitment to Stillman's can waver.

It is a very hard diet to be on. Temptation is everywhere, and even within the wider LC community, the diet is usually criticized, and looked down on negatively, by A LOT of people. I had been on it with no cheats since July 1st. It is now August 8th.

My problem is that when I get diet fatigued, I let myself be far too easily influenced by what other people are doing. That is no criticism of anything that anyone else is doing whatsoever - I guess it is just a comment on my weak willpower to stick to my own diet.

Unfortunately, gaining 3 lbs doesn't matter to me that it's water weight and inflammation and bloat and not actual fat. It takes me just as long for me to get rid of. And after having a very poor loss last week of only 2 lbs, this now means that with the entire rest of this week to lose this 3 lbs now, it will be HALF of the entire MONTH gone. For me to just get back to where I was, and to be at 0 lbs lost.

I am really disappointed in myself with this, because the diet was already hard enough as it was.

This was a really bad time for me to bounce up on the scale because obviously diet fatigue had already brought with it more motivation difficulties than there were earlier on. I think I just need to take some time to regroup.

Breakfast - breakfast sausage patty and 2 eggs
Lunch- 2 hard boiled eggs
Dinner- 1 hard boiled egg and a bratwurst

High fat day but will tone it down starting tomorrow. Had to finish the brats.
Eggs and chicken will be most of my food this week. I will get some ground turkey from Costco on Friday.

The hubby got a smoker. I'm looking forward to some smoked meat as soon as this rain goes away.

The kids start school this Thursday. So excited to get back to a normal schedule. Not so excited about getting up at 5:30 am.

I was reading Honey's post of protein...

I only had 50 grams today. Is that too low?

HP- Hope you have regrouped and stay around!

Bratty- Glad you are back!

I hit 125.8 today, but the stress of buying a home is making me undereat... We put in an offer on a house/neighborhood yesterday that I am really excited about! We are negotiating and hope to find out today for sure

Guess what day it is! It is chicken day!
I am not really that excited about it. I have hit the "you been here before just eat your chicken and be quiet." I will get excited when I see new numbers in about 7 pounds.
I have NO intention of planned meals off. I intend to have steak, fish, or bun-less burgers if I end up eating out and will grab hard boiled eggs or lunch meat rolls if I have to be out and about and need a quick lunch. Like on Saturday... Football jamboree all day long and all they have is off plan concession stand food. I am a little worried they will not allow any outside food or drink in. If that is the case then I may have to eat a bun-less hot dog there.

I have watched Al lose all her weight twice now. It reminds me that it can be done but I have to really do it. Stop messing around and force myself to do the plan. I have about 50lbs to go. I intend to make it happen now.

I hope your offer gets accepted and you can finally take a deep breath. I remember how stressful home buying can be. Take care of you.

Good morning!

Hey Amy, glad you're still around! Great job on keeping up the running.

honeypie, sorry about that gain. I know how frustrating that can be, and I agree it's a very hard diet to be on. But I think you are doing so well overall! You're a great cheerleader with many words of wisdom so I hope you stick around! I NEED you. lol

bratty, good to see you! I am thinking that protein intake is probably ok to keep you alive, mine has been kinda off the charts.. 150-200 g most days...seems I have an insatiable appetite and that's what keeps cravings away. I know I will eventually need to scale that back but for now it's what I need to feel satisfied. It's been 45 days without a binge now!

Hey Jeanie, still praying your house deal goes through! If not though I know the perfect house is out there for you so please don't get discouraged. We looked at 30-40 houses before we made an offer on this one and were getting 'house buying fatigue' for sure.. but I am so glad we held out for the one that was perfect for our family. CONGRATS on 125.8!!! You are doing so awesome.

I am doing fine...same ol song and dance... at this point in the week I REALLY want to get on the scale, but I think it's helping me a lot to only weigh once a week now. I am less scale obsessed, and it also gives me a way to beat my mind into submission when it tells me I need to check, I'm feeling fat... etc... but often when I do that I'm up a bit, get discouraged, and make a bad food choice. I am holding out til Friday morning. If I don't lose this week I seriously need to cut back on the cals. I have been averaging between 1300-1500 which will prob be fine for maintenance but I'm not sure I can lose on it. I've been running a couple of miles about every other day and doing a lot of push ups.

I'm looking forward to having some days off in a week or so... next Saturday 8/19 we will leave for Green Bay and then onto KY to see Noah's Arc and the solar eclipse. I just gotta get though a week or so...

Have a happy Wednesday, everyone!

45 days without a binge is great! I have heard the Ark is amazing, I want to go eventually. We too are looking forward to the eclipse. Planning to go to a local park by our church. Our house is about 20 minutes out of the totality area so we are headed a little north.

I love the way you are planning on chicken but also looking ahead to what you will eat that is still acceptable while out enjoying time with your family

45 days of food sanity! Your upcoming trip sounds wonderful! When we are done with the house preliminaries, we hope to get away for a few days before the weather gets turns cool.

Hope everyone else checks in soon
