Going toalso see with me fasting {Maybe up to4 days.I have to see if I can do some type of Exerscsicing.{Light. and most of all.I hope to be able to do sauna,@ steam room[ I think if I can do that it will also help with detoxing .

Here I go.
So I will still read here and post as this is coming along and see just how far I can go and still feel ok.
Drinking plain ice tea.

I haven't had any diet pop or pop of any kind, since my new years resolution in 2000.

17 years.

One of my best decisions, EVER.

You CAN do this!

Bloodhound, you can stay ahead of me for sure, but the bad news is there won't be an actual loser! HA!

(Or is that GOOD news!?)

I made a batch bbq sauce for my wife and she's pretty stoked.

I followed links from Judy and LetItGo,and wound up at the above thread. Its awfully promising....

I'll call that good news.

I'm staying keto, but haven't been doing IF or walking like I had hoped. We're staying with older relatives and it's just more important to interact with them for a day or two rather than going off to do my own thing. I guess that's an excuse for walking, but not for skipping IF.

I'm quickly reading posts and thought Angela had said she loved this place except for Michael! LOL. Of course Stan is the one who said it, but at first I wondered if Michael had offended Angela. LOL

Meh.

Fasting is sounding good. I was going to wait until DH went away but perhaps I'll start tomorrow and see how long before I get noticed for not eating. With his long hours I'm not sure I will. I was doing a LOT of internet reading on fasting and the good doctor everyone is so fond of and also people's personal experiences. I wanna so how long I can do it. I know I can do a day and a half without even realizing it and most people complained about keto flu and fighting hunger the first few days so I think I just might be able to do this since I'm already keto and don't usually feel hungry ever. I dunno.. maybe in crazy but heck... can't hurt. Okay.. I'm doing it. Fasting tomorrow for as long as I can.

On the bright side.. first day of school tomorrow. Going to be a busy week just trying to stay on track.

I saw it!
I love IF and could not lose without it.
Once in ketosis, I fast dinner through lunch Monday-Friday. Sometimes, I skip lunch as well but only when I need to be there for students. That won't happen this year with our new schedule.
I'm also excited to be walking this year. I had foot surgery almost a year ago and finally feel comfortable walking more and more although the surgical site still swells when I walk a lot.

Charlotte,
You can do it.I sure hope I feel better tomorrow.
But I am going to take as far as I can.
Hope for 4 days. The hardest part,I'm missing the diet pop.
And I hope 'Im able to still work out and keep doing the sauna and steam room. But that might be to much.
Also I hope that when done that weight {If any loss@there better be.ha
Do u regain? and how low calaries when just starting back to eating? Soup my be the best bet for me and cals under 400 for few days. Then just maybe another fast.

Just a word of caution about the fasting experience that I know and love: Be VERY careful when breaking your fast!! ESPECIALLYif you go for a longer type, water-only fast.

For me anyway, a lengthy fast tends to be hard to begin....BUT they are ever so much harder to END!...at least comfortably. Do yourself a favor and re-introduce minimal amounts of food over a period of a couple of days....much less than you would have been consuming before fasting. It will be a much more positive experience if you do. If you breakfast like you are famished, you'll be sorry. And you won't want to fast again any time soon.

Short fasts of a day or day and a half are much easier to end.

I'm focused now. Just walked two miles and have all my meals planned for the week.
I'm hoping to see onederland again by the end of this month! It's ridiculous how stress can affect me. I have to somehow learn to handle it without popping something into my mouth. Exercise helps me to release some of it.

WTH? I hate when I do these odd mini-stalls or gains when I'm on track. When it happens this early it makes me start to doubt and second-guess everything that I'm doing even though my mind knows if I stay the course it will even out and get back to losing. My hubby has been throwing a lot of negative vibes too which stresses me out (he is happy as long as he loses every day but as soon as the scale pauses he gets a lot of sabotage thinking).

Hope things look up (down) for tomorrow!

9/03/2017.. 208.1
9/04/2017.. 207.0
9/05/2017.. 205.0 HA!

Ridiculous number.

I ate my fill all three days of the holiday weekend. So yeah, that number is a bunch of hooey. I was 100% on plan butt still.... Can't lose 4# in 5 days, especially this far in. There'll be a bounce here right directly so stay tuned Bloodhound. You're still ahead.

My Oinker was mucho perfecto, as usual. Far better than our new male interloper, ("Pitmaster Michael" ROLL EYES) could do even with his Newfangled, Whizbang, Goofy**ed Trager that any doofus could run. Sheesh. I also wanted garlic slaw but I screwed it up so bad my wife had to "fix" it. I have to admit, her repaired version was much better than mine. Pee'ing whole cloves of garlic is painful also.

On the brighter side, I found some Memphis Style Sauce for my wife. Maybe now my Q-Habit will be more palatable for her. She likes it. In fact, it's quite good!

I went with the exact recipe (I linked Sunday) and I even bought Splenda. YIKES! I will switch to Stevia on the next batch. I'm just more comfortable with that than the Splenda, and I'm not dissing any of you who use it. I wanted to see the recipe results as intended before I started monkeying around with it. It is HIGHLY recommended and seems ridiculously low in carbs....less than 1 per Tablespoon! Thanks again y'all, for the links that eventually led me there!

Okay people. Time to stop messing around and get down to business.

Hit it hard this week.

Kind, if my extended fasting experience holds true for you, it gets MUCH easier after day 3. In fact, a certain euphoria sweeps over me a ways in, and I dread the break fast part. It feels like I'm cheating on a pledge or something....

Me no likee.

Short fasts are the hardest for me, by far. Day One is the same regardless, and Day Two isn't a whole lot better. Day Three is better, and then I get this "Food???? Who needs food!?!!!!" kind of attitude that I have grown to like VERY much. YMMV

Ok, I had a talk with self,after I wrote. And I know me.>
If I stopped I would have hated it.and wished I kept going.

So I'am taking this to 4 days.
Now The one thing I just did{And won't again>I felt so bad{I had a diet pop.
And I felt better. But said to self No more.
That might be why this fasting is hitting me so hard detoxing all that diet pop out.
I know one thing.By Next year{It will most likely take me that long.April 1st. I want to make my goal of 110.{For that will be my 5th year of starting this and I must say done good.{Apri l1 st 2013 was>178 and now 123{Not bad.
So see I know I can and I feel better now.
Thanks Janet, Your Welcome. {See I talk to self at times.ha
Have a good day . And please stand by me .
