I should get my bike out. The last time I rode it I was pretty uncomfortable, but maybe now that I'm down a few pounds it won't be as bad.

Thanks for the great idea!

I'd love to see a before and after of you. And I hate to say this since you've been doing so great weight loss wise, but I've thought this for quite some time. You are way too hard on yourself! You mean you had two delicious pieces of pizza in your hands and all you ate were the toppings? That spells success to me! Way to go! Please be careful about trying to be too perfect as you transition into maintenance. This way of eating must be sustainable for life. You aren't going to be absolutely perfect (in your mind) for life so please don't beat yourself up so much. That kind of thinking always proves disastrous for me so I just want you to be careful in thinking that way.
Thanks!

I've seen Stan's "before" picture, and it's pretty astonishing!

What is interesting to me is that in my younger days when I think back about how Stan looked, I never thought to myself "Man, that guy is overweight!" I remember thinking he was pretty tall, and he could really play the trombone, but that's about it.

I know for me personally, every time I look at a picture of myself, I don't like the way I look. I criticize myself more than anyone else ever does. Most people probably look at the picture and think "There's Michael!" not "OMG, Michael is SO fat!"

I'm sure some of you can relate. I need to work on not being so critical of myself. I think it's good to get healthy, stay motivated, and have goals, but constant self-destructive thoughts about how I look do nothing but destroy self-esteem and will eventually derail me.

/rant

I hope everyone has a fantastic finish to the weekend, and a great start to the week!

Stan,As you know I was able to do 3 days.
Had to stop for very bad back pain and it lasted for few days. Now today I feel good.
I'm going to do another fast and see how I do and if Imake 4 days. If Not 3?
I think what happen was I must not have had enough water @ tea.
So I was thinking about having when need Broth> home made or Buy broth. If I do buy>add own fresh veggies and when done take out all veggies. Know does it not still have Calaries?I Think maybe I should add salt in water also. That could have been why my back hurt?
Going to start Tuesday and try again.
Oh, with salt does it not hold walter?

Day 6 - I got really winded this morning mowing the lawn. Time for some broth I think. DH left at lunch so now I don't have to worry about getting caught not eating. I miss eating food a lot, but I realize I eat from boredom so I need to get back into crocheting or something else to keep me busy when I'm not doing housework or cooking or working outside. Idle hands...

If you make broth and dump the veggies, well.... most fasting regimens do allow that. I do, especially if I'm struggling. And yes, salt is good for fasting, or even just normal KETOSIS. Do you think your back pain might have been muscle cramps? If I get my electrolytes all messed up during fasting, I get SERIOUS cramps in my calves.

Charlotte you're doing great! Be super focused on your break-fast plans. It is odd how easy is to go great guns for a few days, and after all that work, sabotage the whole project, and for what!?!? (Very frustrating) You've been warned, and to be warned is to be prepared. Fasting yields many good things, not the least of which is Autophagy. You are fixing all kinds of damaged old cells, and you'll never even know it. According to Dr. Jason Fung, Fasting is a pretty big deal where cell regeneration is concerned. (Waaaay above my pay grade to understand)

You'll bounce, I guarantee it....so don't be too disappointed. But how big a bounce is largely in your hands. (and mouth) I love the clarity and overall sense of well being you are probably having. YMMV That terrific feeling is more prevalent with extended fasts. I always miss that feeling, post fast....but I get a little of it with l.F.

Congrats on your progress! Way over half the civilized world now thinks you are Certifiably Bat S*** Krazy. And they're just RONG!

The Bible doesn't even hint about how to fast, or so I've read. I can only assume that's because it should be as natural as breathing, an activity for which Biblical Instruction ALSO is missing. Relax. I'm not going to turn all 'preachy' in this installment.

I'm watching some Hurricane coverage with The Queen. I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH TO DO WITH THOSE BAD BOYS, excuse the shouting. I'll take my chances with Kansas Tornadoes.

Vitamins couldn't hurt, KIND. I don't take many vitamins and supplements, but I do take one Centrum Silver everyday. I am taking a blend of Curcumin, Icarian, and UnObtainium called....ahem.... Re Leaf Fact Oar er....something like that, that won't provoke the moderators. Its for chronic hip pain.

If I were on a fast, I'd still take them.

YES!

I finally got under 250!!

I fully expect it to go back up tomorrow just to spite me, but I don't care!

The lowest weight I have recorded since I got my WiFi scale is 247.1, before that I didn't really record it, but I would say it's been 20+ years since I have been below that weight.

So, new short term goal, 247.1

Hope everyone's week is starting out great!

Duct-tape diet. . . That's what I need.

Congratulations, Michael! I think you'll stay under 250.
Terri, I hear you. I'd hazard to guess we all have some sort of eating disorder or other on here. When I start doing too well, I totally blow it with all those little tricks the carb addict in my head employs. That's when my scale jumps up several pounds in a day. But you CAN and will turn it around. The first day back on track is the hardest, but then you get to wake up to a scale drop About your kids, I feel that guilt as well. I feel like I've given them a bad example, and one is having a hard time trying to get on track. On the other hand, we all play the cards we are dealt. We cannot undo the past, but we can set an example of overcoming our own issues. That's a pretty good example to set going forward.

STAN ...

I literally don't say this enough (because I'm such a drive by poster here ... it's a bad habit but for some reason I'm much more wordy on my instagram) ... but you are literally the lifeblood of these Daily Weigher threads. The most supportive, the funniest, the nicest, kindest ... just an all around great guy. Thank you for all the nice things you've ever said about me .... I probably don't deserve it.

(Hell, I know I don't deserve it ... I'm pretty damn salty by nature. )

Anyway .... I just wanted to make sure you knew what a good egg you are.

Day 7 - hoping today is a good day. Yesterday was a bit of a struggle, just wanted to sleep. Today my plan is to do as little as possible. No cleaning, except kitchen, just baths for the twins, making meals and a single load of laundry. My treat to myself since DH is away.

I found some new LC recipes for when I'm back to eating. I'm excited to make them. Dammit, I miss food. I wish I liked coffee or tea, just to have flavours in my mouth. Don't get me wrong, I have always loved drinking water but still.

Congrats Michael on breaking through!

Thanks Bloodhound. Good words.

It's funny that the ONE thing in my life I CAN control is what I control the LEAST! The stupidity of it boggles my mind!

Back to reality!

I have lots to say about that mindless bloviation I just read about me, Madame Bacon, Queen of this here Fat Forum, and now, apparently... a Colossal Liar.

But I'll reserve the tongue lashing for when I'm even less annoyed with myself, wink wink.

(Seriously, and embarrassingly.... thank you for that undeserved flattery! But inside my wicked heart, I'm merely a self-centered, excrement sandwich....minus the bun of course.)

At least I'm better than that Michael Creep, but that isn't saying much.

Back to the 'annoyed' part. (see above)

"lifeblood".................. sheesh.

You need drugs lady. I'm just trying to entertain myself, and shed a little blubber along the trail! But I digress.....

So. I, once again, have failed in my admittedly lofty goal of Plan Perfection, not once, but TWICE in three days. Yesterday, instead of checking all the boxes:
1) 4 hours,
2) 1500-1700 calories, and
3) KETO clean.

I did 2 out of three, and here I am, up a pound.

Guess which box I failed to check and win a prize!

Okay, so now I'm a liar now too, right up there with that loser I hammered above. whose name I shall wholly avoid mentioning from now on.

9/10/2017.. 204.4 I deserve a much higher bounce for what I did yesterday.

Hint for the quiz: Shameful gluttony may somehow be involved.

I shall do better today, then maybe another fasting period. I do pretty good for a while and then out of the blue BLAMMO! I blow it again.

But I must be honest. And post everyday. I learnt that from Terri B, Peach of a Gramma she surely is!....and struggling with this game a bit. Those of you who pray for these members, offer up an extra one or two for Terri... quietly and without drawing attention to it, or yourself... of course. (I am secretly snickering 'cuz I ABSOLUTELY KNOW someone is praying for me, and I thank that unknown person!) (Am I gonna get banned now?) All God's chilluns needs some intercessions now and again.

And there are others, that need a bit of a....lets just call it a supernatural nudge, okay? Methinks I shan't name them today.

Anyways, I must return to a more focused life, or I will pay the price.

Shannon and Charlotte are doing great!

A new week is here! So Go Get'em!
