Yes that is so sweet. I can just see him doing that. He's such a handsome little guy too.

Judy, I think when I eat too much of anything it tends to give me reflux. Not only carbs, but that's just me.

I think I am a binge eater too, Judy. Especially on some types of foods. I find that F5 seems to help keep that under control. At least I can only eat for 5 hours, not all day long.

Good morning..

Had a skiff of snow last night.

If I eat nuts too close to bed, I get indigestion. Dh used to have a bad problem with reflux from coffee/orange juice/chocolate/soda..Wouldn't that be awful?

Good news..Ds got his hair cut Saturday..(wish he took after Ollie more). He needs a new washer we think. This was a free one, so I told him to get a top loader from Lowe's. I don't think those Energy Efficient ones would work for him very well..

The only thing I binge on is popcorn and fritos..(corn theme here)..Other corn items don't bother me.

This is my bone broth experiment..A little breakfast, then bone broth 5 times all day..It is only one cup at a time..which is nothing..Then drink lots of water..

Off to Bible Study..No mail and banks are closed..No school here either.

Morning. Yes, that was cute when Ollie showed me how he combs his hair, his daddy was particular about his clothes at that age.

Sandy, so glad you are sharing what you eat, that's the way I do F5 and am amazed at how you can eat that way and lose or in my case maintain since I am flopping in and out of it,

Carolyn, why don't you get a new washer to match your dryer and pass your current one to Bret? That's how I justify things lol.

You gals would not believe the deals I see on our FB garage sales. People with too much time and money I guess. They will see almost brand new appliances really cheap because they upgrade or redecorate or move. Amazing low prices. And you see washer dryers, fridge, all appliances on a weekly basis. Nice furniture, it boggles my mind.

Was lazy all weekend but now need to get things done so I will be ready to go see dS and Ollie on Saturday. Haircut tomorrow. Make toffee today. Office Wednesday.

Going to see middle sister in AZ in Feb., we have mentioned to oldest sister several times, she is our one who has always stayed close to home and DH. Not even a mention of an answer. I threw it out one more time yesterday and this AM get an email that she might look into flights

Need to make some calls, later everyone

OOOOooooh! I hope your older sister follows through!!
That would be great!

I guess I don't know where to look for nearly-new appliances, maybe Craigslist?
You are looking at FB garage sales. I belong to one FB group because I thought I might sell some furniture on that site, but now I don't know. I don't like anything I see there. LOL

Skiff of snow Carolyn? Kinda fun, plus no trouble. It sure is cold.

I could have passed the washer on to Brett, but dh would have to bring it to Tulsa in the old pickup, and bring it up 3 flights of stairs and carry the old one back down and bring it home. Liol. The washer tears his clothes. Not good. At all.

Well, I have 4 more cups of bone broth to drink. I left some of the chicken fat on top

Dryer is on its way. .

Oh my, hope your sister gets a flight. how fun it would be.

Calling the Apple people for an appointment is rather annoying. You cannot call the store directly, you have to call the 800 number and listen to bad music for 15 minutes and then be told I have to call back as they only make appointments 7 days in advance.

Dryer is installed. Hmmmm there is a steam feature that uses real water from the washer connection. Anyone have one like that? We didn't hitch it up yet, probably will have our plumber do it. I used to throw in a wet towel.

So far, so good. I did make some decaf to get my through the afternoon until my 2 cups of bone broth.

Gary's brother has diverticulitis. Ouchie! He never gets sick and is thin.

I've heard nothing but painful things about diverticulitis. Sorry for him.
If he never gets sick, it might be his turn.

Fancy dryer, Carolyn!

For me, and only me, I find it much easier to delay eating than to think I won't get to eat the rest of the day. LOL.
Either way, if you are having some times of fasting, I understand, or hope, we are burning fat. (fingers crossed)

It sounds like we're all busy around here today. We had early PT and Dr visit and then hit Trader Joe's for a wine run. Then I went over to my new gym. Planet Fitness, anybody went to one of those? $10 a month!! If you get unlimited tanning, red light therapy and hydromassage tables, you add another $10 a month. Great deal. I only tanned and massaged today. It was crowded today; I forgot it was a holiday.

I'm making prime rib for dinner. Yum!! And I have another loaf of sourdough to pop in the oven too. I bought some risotto with asparagus at TJ's so I'll probably have some of that too and a spinach/arugula salad. I haven't broken my fast yet today.

I haven't even THOUGHT about risotto in years. We're about to get a TJ's here in Tulsa.
I am pretty sure I'm going to look for that when they open! LOL

Remind us when you leave for Mexico?

Feb 5!!!! Ay ay ay ay!!!

I broke my fast with tostada chips and some 3-2-1 dip. The prime rib is now in the HOT oven. After 18 min it has to sit in the oven for 2 hrs. So dinner a little after 6 tonight.

Prime Rib on a Monday? Sounds wonderful.

Jimmy is on his 30 day fast with bone broth, etc.,he stopped for two days. I do think he will get lots of weight off. He is trying to fast more days than eat.

Ds belongs to a Planet Fitness in BA. He goes there to lift weights with his friend.

Yes, on a Monday. I found a great buy right before Christmas and bought several very small ones, so we'll have several "special" dinners in the months to come.

I also had a beer, a piece of buttered sourdough bread, and a small bowl of blueberries with a little half & half.
I'm done!

And I've watched DA!!

The wedding was so sweet. I think Edith found a man. I think Tom is going to end up with Mary. Granny is something else! I sure am going to miss this show!

I loved the wedding. Looks like Edith has a boyfriend. Glad Tom and Sibby are back. Boy, those estates that Barrows interviews at are pretty sad. Is Bates going to be a Daddy? I thought Anna was supposed to have the Dr. make a house call to sew her up?

Carolyn, for sure do not pass washer on if it involves 3 flights of stairs as our kids were moving in and out of apartments, DH finally got to where he refused to do stairs. They could find young strong friends for that

Oh Downton, what a great show it is. I will watch Mercy Street again next week but not hooked so far. All I could think of was the work involved for the servants for those dresses the rich wore . And how could they wear all that in the humid, hot climate?

Loved the wedding and so happy Mrs Hughes got the wedding and party she wanted. Edith just shining this season and I love it. Tom and Mary, hmmm, perhaps but he will need to take her down a notch or two. We are getting a glimpse of some of the grand houses who have already sufferered the changing of the times. Can't wait until Edith can be honest about little Marigold.

Got my toffee made, now to package and deliver. 1 or 2 batches at a time is so easy

Have an appt next week to get a little skin growth on my chin checked. It just decided to appear a while back and to be safe, going to have it checked. I did spend many hours in the sun when I was working on the golf courses.

Sandy, I have never cooked a prime rib! I do love a good one though. I have a ham that needs to be cooked, probably put it in the oven today or tomorrow.

Debby, did they finish the painting at the church?

Judy, I was definitely a binge eater, most of my life. Age has been the only thing that has cured that. I just don't have the appetite I used to. Oh, but when I was younger, I sure could stuff myself and even would plan binges. LC does help with that as well.

Finally found my fit bit charger. I had placed it back in the box it came in so I could find it, NOT! . Looked for it for about a week.

Well, my washer is 25 years old, too..;( When it gives up the ghost, I'll get a new one.
Brett can well afford to buy one..LOL..

I think I lost a pound on my bone broth plan. However, I do think I will just do bone broth for lunch with chicken in it and a regular dinner. My friend who is IFing from 2:30 pm to
5 am is doing great. She has lost 40 pounds..She loves the plan..

Yes, Buffy, I do think all will be happy. Since we haven't seen any bigtime suitors for Mary, yet, Tom might stand a chance..LOL..He knows alot..and they are good friends.
That would be a romance to watch...

I should have bought some prime ribs at Christmas, too..You don't see them around this time of year. I guess they can be ordered..

Cindy, lol.
Yesterday I was busy and didn't eat anything until 3 pm. I wanted to try Quark which I found at target. I ate it in the parking lot between appts. Then nothing until I met DH for a drink and dinner of chicken strips and shoestring potatoes. About 6:30. I had some peanuts sound 10'so my window was open a little longer but I have lost a little more.

Tom and Mary may well work out, they will run the estate in a more modern way. And, I think Daisy will pass her test, gain employment and her father in law move to the farm vacated by the people who cared for Marigold.

Have dinner club Thursday evening and then off to Austin on Saturday. The weather looks great for my drive down and back. Can't wait to see my boys. Oh how I wished they lived near to us but wouldn't be fair to be far from Ollies mommy.

Figured I would get no sleep last night with the steroid shot butbDr. Gave me some real sleeping pills. I took one and did sleep. Will put the rest back for another bad night. I have some friends who take them nightly, I have always worried about the addictive quality of these. Sure liked how easy it was to get to sleep though, I see why people get hooked.

Laundry, messy house pick up and office today. Bike ride while watching The Middle this evening.

Carolyn, the thing that really bothers me about those weight loss shows is the extremes they go to, and that nobody can sustain in real life. Are they really good for people to watch? Fascinating though, of course. I sometimes wonder what my weight would have done if I had never heard the word or idea of dieting? As a thin child, I remember being in high school before I ever heard the idea, one of my friends skipped lunch as she was on a diet? Our family at that time didn't have anyone who was overweight. The harder I tried, once I got a little older and put on some weight, the more of a roller coaster it became.

Buffy...waiting until 3... Fit to Fat to Fit is better than the other shows. They work out, but not like the BL...

I think you have got the ending right. That little Daisy speaks up. Lolol..too much.
