Marathon/Half-marathons on Low Carb

Does anyone here have experience with running long distances while doing a low-carb diet? I've been doing research on how to adequately fuel during long runs. I know it's possible as there are professionals that run and do low-carb but I haven't figured it out yet. Before I was doing low-carb I had no problem with fueling during a race and carb loading before a race but my high fat/low carb choices now just aren't doing the job and I run out of energy around mile 15. My old choices of mid-race fuel are WAY too high in carbs (like 100% carb lol) and my high fat/low carb nuts just aren't doing the job...

Any experience ?

Have you tried Ucan? It is a slow-release super starch that was developed originally for kids with glycogen storage disease. They have a powder and bars that I have tried. I have read on the interwebz about people making their own gels with it, but I haven't tried that.

I haven't trained for a full, but a smoothie of Ucan, protein powder, coconut milk and some frozen fruit works for me for 10-12 miles. I add exogenous ketones too sometimes for an extra boost. I also use Huma chia gels if I need them on long runs. They aren't low carb, but they are lower than a lot of the others. I'll have one about mile 7 or 8 if I'm doing 10 or more.
